My son had a cake made for his wife's 30th birthday - it was made to look like presents. Everyone at the party was blown away and couldn't believe it was a cake! So beautiful! OMG, a bakery open till 8pm on a Saturday. That is just the beginning, the options of biscoti is endless...the Cigars are phenomenal, the cookies are endless......we really wanted to taste everything but couldn't. What we did though was amazing.....
When I lived in Spring Lake Heights, I got sweets here all the time. Prices aren't cheap but always good quality. Especially cupcakes for people's birthdays. Visiting from PA and on my way to Point Pleasant to have lunch with a friend and couldn't go empty handed! Couldn't take chocolate or peanut butter mousse home bc of the long ride...but got some chocolate covered coconut macaroons for home. Bought oreo brownies for the kids and delicious cream puffs for my friend and I.
The shop has so many delicious looking selections. It smells amazing once you walk in too. I got the French macaroons of every flavor. Totally worth it. So far I've tried 4 of the flavors and they are legit to die for. So good. I highly recommend this place.
I had a great experience. I went in to the bakery to inquire about ordering a custom cake. The girls were very knowledgeable and helpful. The cake came out better than I had imagined and tasted amazing. So moist and delicious. Everyone was raving about it and saying how pretty it was! We also got a cookie tray and that was amazing as well! Thank you!

WOW! I’m so impressed with Simona’s Bakery! They have the largest selection of cupcakes I’ve ever seen at any bakery ever! There must be like around 40 different kinds of cupcakes! They should put them in order chocolates together, pumpkins together, vanillas together, and so on. Another good idea is to have a menu of them to go available so when you go in you can request the ones you want instead of trying to read them all and wasting 40 minutes trying to figure out what ones you are going to buy. I’ve had the pumpkin cheesecake crumb cake from here, and it’s FANTASTIC! Unfortunately, it’s so good it sells out fast! I wanted to buy some more today, but they were already gone. You have buy yourself one, and thank me later! I’ve had the brownie cupcake, red velvet cupcake, pumpkin apple caramel cupcake, and the pumpkin cookie dough cupcake from here so far. All DELICIOUS! Simona makes the BEST pumpkin and red velvet cake I’ve had from a NJ bakery! I know pumpkin is seasonal, but it’s so exceptional here I’d buy it all year round! The chocolate cakes I’ve found to be ok/good. The red velvet cupcake was also a TOP cupcake! It was OUTSTANDING that I highly recommend purchasing the red velvet cake here. I know I’ll definitely be purchasing myself one. I also love how each cupcake is generously filled, and you can tell it’s all high quality ingredients. The apple filling to the pumpkin apple caramel cupcake was amazing! I also purchased a chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream, and the peanut butter buttercream was delicious! At first I thought the cake wasn’t that moist, but it was only because I cut myself a slice just after it came out of a refrigerated case. Once it reached room temperature after two hours it was very moist. They also have lots of beautiful cakes here for sale too. Another item I tried was the peanut butter brownie. The peanut butter layer was nice and creamy, but the brownie itself I found to be just ok. I like mine more chewy and fudge like. I’ll give it another shot the next time I go. This bakery has a huge selection of desserts, and I’ve just only begun sampling everything. You can check Simona’s bakery on instagram for more pictures. It’s around a 40 min drive for me, but with the unique, DELICIOUS, and huge selection it’s worth the drive! I absolutely love Simona’s Bakery in Sea Girt, and I highly recommend coming here!

I went to Simona in Sea Girt for a custom cake request for my sister’s engagement party. I pass by them a lot and had purchased a few smaller things from them in the past. Long story short they created an incredible and stunning custom cake for me and if you are interested I suggest you proceed with working with them. The cake was stunning, delicious and affordable.
Now for the detailed story - I reached out to them via email two weeks in advance letting them know what I was looking for in a custom cake. They were extremely prompt and emailed me back right away. They set up a time with me to come in and go over what I would like in person (I really appreciated this as it gave me more confidence in being able to talk through what I would like versus conducting it over email or phone). When I showed up at the shop the three women on site were incredibly sweet and informative. Two of them assisted me with my cake order. The third assisted me in picking out some sweets to bring home that day! They were extremely knowledgeable and gave great insight on what I may need. I showed them a few photos of cakes I liked and what I liked from each cake design. I asked if they could merge it into one cake. They had no problem with my detailed requests. I was kind of nervous as I am very particular in what I want, but the end results were amazing! I picked the cake up day of and the staff was great during pick up. My sister was so surprised and all of her guest’s couldn’t stop taking photos of it (some attached). They also wouldn't stop talking about how delicious it was (equally as important).
Extra notes, the cost was very affordable especially for the quality of work! I plan on using them for all of my future cake needs. I am honestly in shock over how incredible my experience was with Simona and I would suggest working with them for your cake requests.
Bring you sweet tooth and be prepared to go over budget! There are too many goodies to choose from so you might just bring them all home like I did! I recommend everything with Almond paste!
This was my second trip, because I really enjoyed what I purchased previously. This time I purchased 9 macarons, 2 cupcakes and 2 Chinese cookies. The Chinese cookies are my favorite--crumbly deliciousness. The macarons we had are hit or miss with being fresh, but still really good. I had a devils food type Chocolate cupcake, I forget the name, it was delish. The cake wasn't too sweet but the icing was on the sweeter side and it balanced out. There was chocolate filling in the cupcake, so it was just enough for the amount of cake (and a tall glass of milk). Some may consider it pricey, but I think it's fair in price, compared to what you would pay in a bakery.
Called Simona’s to see if they could do a last-minute bridal party proposal. The French macaroons came out PERFECT - exactly like the photo I showed them. So grateful for how quickly they got them prepared for me & my girlfriends. Thank you!
You have to come and try the checkerboard cake probably the best cake I've ever had. The cupcakes are out-of-this-world and the rainbow cookies I had yesterday were amazing. Prices are a little higher than your everyday bakery but you definitely get what you pay for! Highly recommend! 🧁
Always a great experience at Simona's Bakery. Today, I picked up peanut butter and chocolate brownies, but their cakes, cookies, pastries, bisccotti, etc. are all wonderfully delicious. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Great bakery!!
We stumbled on these sweet spot and had to pull over, I'm glad we did. Beautiful baked goods, atmosphere and sweet aroma did not disappoint plus friendly customer service too.
OMG!!! This was the best cake EVER!! My mom started a tradition years ago of always making me a maple walnut cake for my birthday. She got the icing recipe from a 2nd grade cookbook my class put out. It was feom Mike Duh's mom, wherever he is today. After my mom passed, Art took over the chore of making it for me every year. Unfortunately, being in the hotel this year, it was virtually impossible to make as even though we have a kitchen, we don't have mixing bowls, mixer, etc. I thought for sure, this was the first year there would be no cake. My husband found this at Simona's Bakery in Sea Girt. Simona's had been showcased on The Food Channel. I never expected it to be as good as our old family recipe, but it was! Amazing cake! While he waited in line behind 5 people, he said the smell in there was unbelievable and he wanted to eat everything in the shop! If you get a chance, try Simona's as you will not be disappointed!!
We are visiting Manasquan from South Florida, I haven't been back here for 35+ years! We saw this Bakery on our way back to our hotel so we decided to check it out. It was, myself, my 76 year old Mother who also hadn't been back for 35 year's as well and my adult Son who'snever been to NJ at all! So, we each chose different thing's. My Mother chose 3 different flavored Macaroons, I chose 2 Chocolate covered Pretzels, and my Son got an Oreo something. We saved them for dessert to eat in the hotel room. Well, my Mother's 1st Macaroon was "stale" and at almost $2+ each that was really upsetting, however, her other 2 were delicious! My Chocolate covered Pretzels were very good but also very, very pricey! My Son's Oreo thing (I can't remember the name) was gone before we even got back to the hotel and he loved it!
So, this bakery has just about everything you can imagine but be prepared to pay!
I gave 4 stars because having a "Stale" Macaroon is inexcusable.
Great turnovers and cupcakes. Friendly service. All the other baked goods look good but have not tried much. I like the turnovers so much they are full of fruit! And the turnovers are so big of apple, cherry, blueberry and a couple other flavors
I can't say of anything has changed but the turnovers are still so good have these chocolate peanut butter brownies they look great and such a large selection of butter cookies.
