Great place to eat. The food is good and it is always packed. That's because good food and good service bring good patrons. I love the fact that it is downtown. That gives Searcy the flavor of a small town with a local diner. Great place to eat.
They have always had a great daily special plate lunch which they still have but now they have improved it with some new items like burgers, fries, soft serve ice cream and of course they still make the cookies. Liked it before, love it more now.

I just had the taco salad which was amazing and lemon cookies are TO DIE FOR!! Hands down the best cookie in the world!!!!!
Stopped in Searcy just to get lemon iced cookies. Left The Cookie Basket with 3 types of cookies. My husband says the oatmeal raisin and strawberry shortcake are Mmmm Mmmm good. The oatmeal raisin are his favorite. Lemon iced will always be my favorite. We will definitely be back for more cookies!

Our lunch was hot and delicious! Service fast and friendly. They don't give out a cookie with your meal anymore though and that definitely made me sad.
I have been eating here for 3 years and each time I go I am not disappointed. The best salad and burgers I've ever eaten, and they are known for their onion rings! Their service is so good, they really TRY and put forth effort to get everything to you as you need it like drinks, napkins, food, refills, etc. This is truly a labor of love, a local family owned restaurant with original cookie recipes that cannot be replicated. I will be eating here until we move away if that ever happens!

In town from Texas visiting family this week, and my cousin took me to the Cookie Basket. The restaurant was full when we got there at noon, but we opted to sit outside and not wait for a table inside. My cousin got the honey mustard chicken salad. She's a regular and always gets that, so it must be good! My mom got the chicken salad sandwich with onion rings, and I got the tuna salad sandwich with tater tots. The food was great! Our waitress was friendly, and the food wasn't expensive. It's a cute restaurant. I definitely recommend it.
When you first walk in you are greeted with such excitement and happiness! I loved the whole environment, and the waiter, host, everything guy just MADE this all worth it.
So does this amazingly delicious dessert! Highly recommended. Just go people, you won't regret it!
I ordered 7 dozen cookies before Christmas to give in gift plates. They are always extremely nice and do a great job on anything I have ordered. I have ordered several cakes for showers as well. Great food, amazing customer service, and local people make this restaurant top notch.
