Review El Almacen - The Warehouse - Searcy

Probably one of the nicest Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been too! The decor and atmosphere is really nice but has a casual feel to it. We sat upstairs in their private room since we had a large party. Upstairs actually had a little hidden bar that looked fun. The guacamole was delicious and flavorful. I got the Molcajete which was served in a cool bowl, it could have feed two people! If you want a show stopper definitely get the Parrillada For Two (but it could really feed up to 4 people!) all the food was cooked perfectly and they had lots of choices for even the pickiest of eaters. Great service, great food.

Awesome place to eat your favorite mexican dishes. The food is always brought out hot and fresh. With loads of good flavors. And they have the best margaritas. 😍😍😍😍😍

Came for the first time. Got here and was waiting almost 30 minutes to get seated. Got my food and only got enough to feed a little kid not an adult will definitely not be coming back. Worst restaurant ever…….

First time here. The Best ground beef I’ve had in any restaurant. Good chips and salsa. Service was great. The place has a beautiful interior. The scrapped plate says it all.

Amazing staff, Johnny is a wonderful server. He's attentive but not overwhelming and very respectful. The food is great, we love that there's something for everyone, even our picky eaters.

Reviews were mixed. We came at an off time and only one other table was occupied. Turns out it was happy hour so the drinks were cheap. Actually had great meals at a good price.

Wish I could say better things but the service here was possibly the worst I’ve ever had. As someone who works in food service my husband and I are very patient and understanding of issues that may arise…but there were no extenuating circumstances here. Our server, Kennedy, was horrible. She came to our table and gave me a menu for half price entrees for ladies night, so I ordered off of here. After getting our orders she only came back to drop off our food. My husbands additional side entrees didn’t come but she said it was almost ready and she would be back soon. Kennedy stood across the restaurant visiting with other employees, and texting on her phone for the remainder of our visit. We attempted to stop her and get her attention with no results many times. My husband never got his other dish. We never got refills. She never came back and avoided eye contact when we tried to motion to her. We finished eating and said “oh well it’s okay” about his other food not coming. We waited and waited for our ticket. We finally stacked our empty plates on the end of our table and waited almost 20 minutes before Kennedy brought our check and just walked off. She did not give us the half off of the entree she told me she was half off and did not take the food off my husband never received or even ask how everything was. I finally went and asked a manager to assist us. He corrected our ticket but was in no way concerned with our service. The food was not bad but we will never go back after the awful service we received, which I’ve never said about any place!

We were in from Kansas for a wedding. The food was very good. Love the atmosphere! Kennedy was our server and did and EXCELLENT job. Will be back again next time we visit!

This place is not good. Building is beautiful. But the food is not good and the drink selection is less than good. We will not ever go back. Tried a margarita, did not like it, so I returned and got a glass of (box) wine. Was charged for the margarita anyway. Unbelievably bad. Beer mugs not cold. Don’t waste your money. Want good Mexican go to Casa Brava. Cold drinks - Rock House.

Food was great, however I don’t like to give bad reviews but I will say it took 15 min to get seated ( was not crowded ) sat down and didn’t get waited on for 10 min or so at least, I had to flag somebody over, the young man who did wait on us was not a waiter but acted as one to help out and he did great.

The food and service was excellent. Had a fantastic time with friends and family. We will return.

We have eaten here a handful of times, usually it is good, sometimes the service is rude. But tonight, we were seated, brought our drinks, and then waited at LEAST 20 minutes for anyone to take our order. The girl that finally came and took it was not our original waiter. We waited what seemed like forever for our food. (Only two of us) And when my steak came (I asked for medium rare) it had just been seared on each side and was BRIGHT red in the middle. The servers were rude about fixing it. When it was brought back the outside was darker, but the middle was still bright red like they had microwaved it. We are so disappointed because we usually love the food, but after our experience tonight, we won't be back.

Took forever to get our food. My daughter’s and husband’s orders were wrongs. The food was not hot. My grand daughter’s fries and nuggets were both over cooked.

Food was good. The restaurant is beautiful. However, the service was not so great. Don't get me wrong, they were really nice... but the service could have been better. And it wasn't busy either.

The food is always great and a very good value. One of the cheapest sit down restaurants in town. The atmosphere and building is really nice and the service is usually very good and food comes out quick. If it's busy there may be some waiting but it's never been unreasonable when I've been there

Love the variety of dishes and meats on their menu compared to other Searcy Mexican Restaurants. I ordered flank steak and thought it was great. Will continue to eat here. I do agree w the other reviews that the salsa is a bit spicy for my personal taste.

Got to go order wrong refused to fix.. They got my to go order wrong on the 5th of May and I called up there to figure out if they would fix it but the manager wasn't there so they said the manager would call me tommorrow. Well the manager called tommorrow but the worker lied to the managers face about what exactly I ordered when I specified my order twice. So they refused to fix my order and the food that they did give me was awful and is still in the fridge. Would not recommend because of the crew of liars.

I've eaten here several times and it's hit or miss. But I do like the fact they have some traditional dishes on their menu and not your typical Americanized Mexican/Tex-Mex Food.

Best that Searcy, AR has to offer. Have eaten here several times. On occasion the salsa tends to be a bit spicy and there is some inconsistency on food plating, but otherwise everything is really good. The ingredients are fresh and tasty and the restaurant itself is very clean. It really is the best restaurant in Searcy.

Price gouging without remorse. Today (4/17/2014) I ate lunch here as I had three times before in the last two weeks. Three times before I ordered the excact same thing, a #5 combo dinner with cheese sauce and an extra tamala with cheese sauce and a sweet tea. Today I ordered the very exact thing again. The order came out on two plates this time instead of one plate like three times before. The extra tamale was on a plate with cheese sauce. The last three times the cost of my meal was less then 9 dollars. They give you an extra 10% off for lunch on Monday thru Friday. I got that discount the last three times and today also. The food was good and the service was good today as well as the last three times I have been there. My problem today is my meal cost me over thirteen dollars with the 10% discount. What changed? The same exact order all four times. I told the lady running the place that I would not be back. She seemed concerned and suprised. I told here about the last three times I was there and that it cost less then nine dollars. She looked at my ticked, that I had already paid, and began to break it down for me. Combo dinner, 6.99, cheese sause on the dinner, 1 dollar extra, extra tamale, 1.99, chese sauce on it, extra dollar, sweet tea 1.75, then the tax which is 8.5%, then the 10% discount. Total is correct she says. She said she was sorry and i told her I would not be back nor would I reccomend the restruant to anyone else again. She said she was sorry again. She never asked how she could make it right or offer to refund some of my money or ask me to come back sometime. All she said was sorry and placed my ticked in the ticket box. I looked at her and said I will not come back again and walked out the door.

This is owned by the people who run Mi Pueblito and the former Mi Ranchito! The carnitas were good but the service was poor! The price is high.

First try but I highly recommend!. Went here for my anniversary dinner, it was fantastic. Large portion sizes, fantastic taste, great atmosphere. The dessert, a fried cheesecake type, was to die for! Will definitely return, and I rave about this place to all my friends. (And you get great chips and salsa!)

This is my first time here. I will be back. I loved it.

Food/Astmosphere. Astmosphere not good, like Docs Grill the upper ceilings with their warehouse style ceiling DO NOT lend to good accoustics and just make the place noisy.<br/><br/>Waiter was very nice and prompt, but the hostess attitude seems to be ungracious, didn't smile, didn't seem to be in a good mode.<br/><br/>Food IMO was aweful, I had Chicken Entomatadas and the kids had Chicken Enchiladas. Enotmatadas are supposed to be fried and covered in sour cream and some cheese, but mine were soggy and very bland. The kds Enchiladas were exactly the same, hardly any difference IMO on tast and consistancy. Not worth the money. Salsa was very bland as well. If you don't like Mexican food with a little spice, then is the place to go. I'll not be coming back, and neither will some other coworkers.

Lunch at El Almacen. After friends commented about this new restaurant, I couldn't wait to try it. We were a party of three and we ordered three different menu items. All items ordered looked very appetizing and each of us commented that everything eaten was excellent. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is friendly. I will be returning with my family in the near future.

Incredible!. We started out by being recommended by the waiter to try the Queso Fundido and it was awesome. Had some stringy, tasty cheese served with chorizo sausage on top and came with warm tortillas to make little burritos with. Awesome and only $6.<br/>For lunch, I had the Gringas which is shaved pork and other goodies served on a toasted torilla with mango salsa. <br/>The food really was wonderful and not your typical Tex-Mex that you can find anywhere! Two thumbs up!!
