Unique restaurant within a beautiful log cabin. Large fireplace with seating while you wait. There's a bar upstairs, and downstairs is a banquet hall you can rent out. Stream behind restaurant was relaxing. Friendly service and a gift shop next door to look at while you wait. Got the homemade clam chowder in bread bowl. Son got the stack of flat cars (pancakes), and hubby got the biscuits and gravy.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Camp 18 today. There was no wait to get a table and the atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. The server was awesome, and the food was really good. The prices were a bit high, but considering where they are located, it was reasonable. The portions were really big too, so that was nice. The building and decor were amazing and a real step back in time. It was like having lunch inside a museum! The gift shop was cute, but pricey. There are a lot of cool old logging and railroad equipment on display outside, which provided for a nice after lunch stroll. We really recommend this place as a nice meal destination.

If you've driven to Cannon Beach from Portland Oregon, you've driven past this restaurant. You can't miss it. It's a big wooden lodge with massive mining equipment in the parking lot.
Primarily known for their breakfast, Camp 18 serves lunch and dinner as well. On this visit, I had the Lumber Jack Burger and it was huge! So delicious and the fries were crispy and hot.
The restaurant is exquisitely decorated in November and December for Christmas and is a great time to go. It is the off season so service was a little slow. I would recommend calling ahead if you have a dining party of 4 or more. But other than that I would recommend a trip to Camp 18.

We did not know to wait and eat. This place is amazing. The staff are all super friendly and accommodating even for the general tourists that are not eating.
Heard good reviews about the food, but this will have to wait.
For now, enjoy the history and atmosphere.

Always a Christmas tradition to have a meal there in December. SO BEAUTIFUL! We love the ambiance of the place and the service is always nice as well. Delicious food and good sized portions for an affordable price too.

The club and BLT were pretty good. I prefer higher quality bread but the bacon was thick and tasty. Nice for after a long hike. The fries and especially the cinnamon roll were incredible. I generally go for a cinnamon roll with a tighter roll and assumed this one would be bready but no. It was so gooey and delicious. I was dreading the size of it but now I am glad to have more for later. I see now why it’s alway so busy whenever I drive by.

I love camp.18 it's a bit nostalgic for me so I'm probably biased but I love the atmosphere and how it feels very homey several beers are available on tap as well as cider and a wine list. I didn't see any liquor list or anything so i don't think they serve it. Maybe call and double check because I could be wrong. I recommend all the burgers as well as the blue cheese dressing, onion rings and the fries. Some of the best onion rings and fries around and I'm pretty picky. Oftentimes I find that the fries have old tasting oil and they come out somewhat soggy from the more homey restaurants and that's not the case with camp 18 you're getting nice crisp fries that aren't drenched in oil and burnt. Also the service was great we had 2 very angry children that turned into evil ogres about halfway into the meal they decided to dump out their drinks at different times in protest of not getting what they wanted. Overall, a great time and we will be back again. Much love from X oregonians.

Was recommended we checked this place out by some locals. It had a very homey feel. The food was amazing, and workers were very friendly. We stopped by the gift shop to get some souvenirs, and walked around a bit to look at some of the history they have on display. There was a very cool trail behind the restaurant that we checked out. We almost missed the restaurant because it was directly after a curve, but very grateful we stopped.

Love this place. I had the country fried steak & I was not disappointed. The service was great. It was very busy, but they were able to seat us in 5 minutes. The architecture was just stunning and the amount of things to look at around the restaurant seemed never-ending. I love that it's family owned and operated. The gift shop was really fun to peruse as well. I can't wait to back in good weather and explore the historicle logging equipment around the grounds. If you take hwy 26 to the coast, you should definitely stop and check it out.

If you’re looking for homemade food with a lodge type feel then check this place out on your way to Seaside. Very cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Also check out the old logging equipment and you can take a restroom break in the caboose.

Thirty minutes or so from Seaside on Sunset Highway is Camp 18. If you're hungry and have a big appetite then Camp 18 is the place to eat. The servings are big and don't forget to order one of their giant cinnamon rolls. Just make sure you bring a few friends to help you eat it! I got the shredded steak quesadilla which I shared with my sons and my husband had a beef and cheddar melt. And of course, for dessert we ordered a cinnamon roll. Even with all of us eating it, there was still leftovers.

Camp 18 Restaurant is a bit off of the beaten path, but it's a path worth finding!
Built in the 70's by Gordon Smith and Maurie Clark,

it is still owned and operated by the Smith family.

Logging is the primary industry in this area and this restaurant pays homage in its design and decor - the timber used to build Camp 18 was actually logged by Smith, who still has a mill nearby.

Good food. Big portions. The price seems a little expensive but when you see the portion size, you understand.

The atmosphere is very cool. Log cabin, fire going, pictures. Worth the visit.
Worse food ever !!. We ate there last spring- food came out cold & raw---service was lousy --- even after complaining we still had to pay FULL PRICE-- I wouldn't even bring it back for my dog--

This is a family tradition. If you like cinnamon rolls this is the place to go. They are huge and they have raisins. I mean huge as in complete plate coverage. Other food is good. Wife and I shared spinach and sausage omelette and it was very good. Any trip to seaside requires a stop at camp 18

Love it!!!. We love camp 18! My whole family ALWAYS finds a time to stop there on our way to and from the coast. Their Pie a la mode is fabulous! My husband and I were treated like royalty recently on our way home late in the evening. We stopped in for a warm hot cocoa...ordered one to share and were given two with no extra charge! Great service, food, and decor :)

They have changed. Remember when we used to look forward to stopping by Camp 18? Those giant cinnamon rolls were very good! And then when you were finished eating you could always find something in the gift shop.
Well sadly, those are now just memories.
The cinnamon rolls vaguely resemble a cinnamon roll and are still large, but you should probably pass them by. They are so dry and tasteless that if you insist on eating part of one you will want to bring your sugar and cinnamon. Maybe some pancake syrup would help, but you will still need a lot of some kind of liquid to wash it down.
As for the gift shop, we waited for 20 minutes for the clerk to finish her personal phone call. At that point the 5 of us (the only ones there) decided we had waited long enough and walked out.
It is nice to have the memories of the past though.

Hold out for Cannon Beach. We've seen this place on multiple trips to and from Cannon Beach and it always looked fairly busy and we had been meaning to try it on one of trips.
Finally got a chance to stop on the way to Cannon Beach this weekend, looking forward to some breakfast/lunch as it was 1pm and the first meal of the day for us.

Upon entering there was a bit of confusion around the hostess station, when we were finally able to approach it we were met with, "How many?!" not, 'hello', 'welcome', 'I validate your humanity'... it was so abrupt and rude I didn't even think this lady was talking to us, perhaps another employee. So I said, "Excuse me?" and she repeated it in the same tone- like she was annoyed that we showed up and she had to bother to seat us. Fortunately she was replaced by a much nicer person who took our name. She did not volunteer the wait-time but when asked told us 15 minutes and were welcome to eat in the lounge if we chose. A quick trip up to the lounge revealed a lonely place where there didn't appear be any staff so we decided to wait. By the way, you can go wait by the fire place across the room but they will not tell you that, so we went there and let the hostess know.

We were seated first at a two-top near the back, the chairs were each on different surfaces of different levels so when the table near the fire place cleared we asked to move and our server cleaned that table for us. So far so so good (besides first impression). Our coffee came quickly, was served in a carafe and was hot and fresh. We ordered immediately. And we waited. And waited.
About 20 minutes later our food was ready. Unfortunately, we did not actually GET IT for another 15 minutes so it was stone cold when it arrived, and, quite frankly did not seem as if it would be any better hot. My husband's chicken fried steak coating was separating from the meat and my eggs were overcooked, French toast dry. We advised our server that our food was cold and she offered to have the kitchen make us some more. However at this point we had already been there almost an hour and still hadn't eaten. We asked if the food could be remade quickly and (waited again 5-10 minutes while she checked) she said no, they were too busy to make it quickly(??), brought us a free cinnamon roll and said the meal would be comp'd (the coffee and roll, I guess, we never actually got a meal to comp). We ended up having lunch in Cannon Beach after all.

I'd recommend it if you want coffee and a cinnamon roll and are not in a hurry and don't mind rude employees greeting you at the door.

BEST hot chocolate ever! Atmosphere is wonderful! Take everyone who comes to visit here!

Over priced. Love the inside but waitstaff was rude and lazy. We walked in and sat down. Our waiter was yelling at fellow co-workers to help and they refused because they were on a break. The waiter had 7 tables along with an 18 top. So our meal was brought to us but with attitude. I had a veggie sandwich which was so simple, plain, and boring my other half had a burger. Our bill including 2 sodas was $23.00 not including tip.

Food Guy. Brought in a large group of 20 on a Tour. The hostess was very upset that we did not call ahead. I had and was told that they don't take reservations. Took forever for one dude to keep reading his book all alone at our table for 20. Had to finally go ask him to go finish is somewhere else after 20 minutes. Thought I was rude and I thanked him and our group sat down after a 45 wait. Food was large and was tasty and we got served after we started to bang silverware on the table. Fun log cabin place very popular place so remember you probably will have to wait.

From the start this was not the best " diner " I've eaten in. The hostess never acknowledged us. A server finally seated us. When our waitress arrived after too long she was nice. The ambiance is great and well worth a look. But I'd eat elsewhere. The food when it arrived was plentiful but not very appealing or tasty. We both ordered the chicken fried steak which arrived swimming in SAUSAGE gravy. I've eaten CFS in 13 states and never had it with sausage gravy. To add to it. The gravy was so thick I will use the word congealed for lack of a better one. I won't be repeating this mistake any time soon.

Next Time. For the price the quality is not there. Their signature steak, while flaverful, had a lot of gristle making it tough. As stated by another reviewer their portions are large. Maybe I'll try the breakfast next time through?

Very Rustic and peaceful. I love eating at Camp 18. Not only is the inside wonderfully built with huge logs, you can also walk around outside and view all the old logging equipment from many years ago. It's a very interesting place to visit and the kids absokutely loved it.

The quality of the food here has dropped in recent years. Large portions, but I would be willing to tradeoff quantity if the quality were higher. I hope they improve to former standards otherwise I might as well eat at Denny's for cheaper
In The Pink And Green
It's an old timey restaurant with lots of logging equipment and interesting wood carvings everywhere...kind of like an Oregon-version of Cracker Barrel, except more lodge-y and not a cheesy chain. They have very hearty food and
