Went with my mom and husband for lunch and everything we ordered was incredible. It’s so hard to get a reservation here, but I was able to secure a lunch reservation. We got the beets and arugula salad, the classic pink door lasagna (must have, their staple item which is consistently delicious over the years), the mushroom pasta, house lemonade, and my husband got a salmon entree that came with broccoli and potato. Note- my mom and I are vegetarian and there were plenty of delicious options. We all loved everything we ordered so much! Highly recommend. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and patient. Lastly, the ambience of the restaurant and view of the water from our table was incredible! Such a cute place to dine.
Tasty birthday lunch for my business partner today! Cold and rainy outside but warm and friendly inside. Sat next to the big windows looking out on Sound and mountains. Had the holiday spritz, was so good with a white vermouth and aperol! Rice ball appetizer was delicious. We shared a couple pasta dishes and they did not disappoint. First time dining at Pink Door and would love to go again, if I can ever snag a reservation! Service was friendly and prompt, very chill waiter with all the hustle and bustle of a busy restaurant.
Fun, trendy atmosphere with live shows that vary nightly. The music was unfortunately very loud (bordering on too loud) in the front room and not audible in the back room. The mushroom pasta was a bit too salty for me but I highly recommend the lasagna which was light and airy with a thin layer of tomato sauce on top. The bread pudding and budino were also excellent.
The pink door is only marked by its pink door in post ally. You open the door to a bustling warm restaurant that smells of delicious food and sounds of people sharing words and bites and music and entertainment. Me and my partner sat in the dining room away from the live entertainment on a Tuesday night. We had a beautiful view of Eliot bay and the Christmas lit ferris wheel.
Interesting decor. Had the tuna crudo and oysters as appetizers. Good but not amazing. For dinner, we had the linguine vongole and ribeye. The linguini was also very good but not really special. The ribeye and the broccolini was excellent. The disappointment was that the food was lukewarm, the mashed potatoes cold. Also disappointing that our table was a bit cramped and by a closed booth area. We mentioned it was our 20th anniversary in our reservations but didn’t get any of the nice window tables by the water despite there being many since we were there for a 530 reservation. Nice, but I see what some reviewers say about it being an overpriced and possibly underwhelming experience. Glad we tried it, but not sure we need to go back.
Great scenery and environment. We sat outside on the patio. Lasagna is the best I’ve ever had. Large selection of food items. Great drink menu and desserts. Highly recommend.
Tomatoes!! What fresh tomatoes they have. Loved the lasagna and the cocktails. Fusili tasted great and did I say fresh!
Fries were okay, house bread was good with balsamic that tasted amazing.
House special sangria and Is this pink enough for you cocktails were great as well.
I totally recommend this place.
The Pink Door is a great space, with excellent service, and creative food and drink offerings that lean traditional Italian but still offer fresh ideas.
Definitely worth noting that, per the bartenders, the place books out a full month in advance, so if you’re looking for a dinner reservation, plan accordingly. That being said, if you’re looking for a drink only it’s altogether possible to stumble in and get lucky— ask me how I know!
We had our anniversary dinner here, since it was a Saturday we had to schedule a month (!) ahead.
This shows how popular this place is. The location is great, right in the Pike Place Market and I have to say the prices are very fair for this area. So we were glad to see a very broad range of guests, from high schoolers up to older folks.
The restaurant has this first impression of a hidden place with its unassuming entrance (hence the "pink door"), and you have to walk down a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant. It's actually much larger than it looks like, because the main seating area is in the back.
We were seated at the window with a view to the Waterfront. Our server was very attentive and had a set of recommendations for us.
We went with the porcini mushrooms since they were in season and 2 of the pasta dishes, namely the famous lasagna and the bucatini all'Amatriciana and a bread pudding as dessert and cocktails to go with the meal.
The porcini mushrooms were absolutely delicious, meaty and prepared to make sure to make the mushroom stand out.
The lasagne was very light, very thin and tender. The bucatini were cooked in a way I've never experienced before, chewy and soft, which I couldn't quite figure out how they achieved the texture. I wished the all'Amatriciana sauce would have been a bit spicier, but not bad at all.
The bread pudding was delicious, too, but at that point we were pretty much stuffed.
All in all a great experience and I can wholeheartedly recommend this place for dining, just make sure you have placed your reservation if you come in the evening.
Arguably one of the best dinner spots in Seattle. I can confidently say the lasagna is by far the best lasagna I’ve ever eaten in my life. I now plan to get that every single time I come back to Seattle. Everything else was great too. Loved the arancini, the sauce that came with it paired perfectly. Never have I seen Dungeness crab be a protein option for a caesar salad, but it absolutely works and it’s delicious. The pumpkin bread pudding is probably seasonal, but that was a fantastic dessert.
I cannot recommend this place enough. Good services, good drinks, phenomenal food
Hidden-gem tucked away. I walked straight past it initially and had to do a 180 to find it! I wasn’t the only guest who was struggling to find it but once you see the literal pink door it’s impossible to miss. Great atmosphere and brilliant and friendly service. The cioppino (seafood pasta) I had was nice but not my favourite choice. I also had the cabaret cake (has a better name in the restaurant) for desert and it was very tasty. Book ahead so you’re not disappointed but if you’re a single then there will hopefully be a nice place at the bar!
I’ve come here a few times and each time the food is always good! The entrance is difficult to find the first time, it’s literally a pink door and nothing else - no sign or indicator that you’re at the right location except for the pink door you open.
They change part of their menu based off the season so they can offer the best and most fresh options; there are consistent dishes you can rely on (pink door lasagna). I highly recommend the bruschetta to start off light and simple as an appetizer. The lasagna is vegetarian as well so bonus for those who don’t eat meat!
Delectable! We got in on a thursday for a walk-in lunch seating at opening and there was already a small line of either single or doubles, for walk-ins as well.
Upon walking in, the ambiance is impeccable! The decor works well with their theme and it feels spacious. It was a sunny day and I loved how the sun shined through the windows.
The menu was varied enough and I'm glad their lunch menu included pasta because that's what we were hoping for! We got the paglia e fieno and the spaghetti alle vongole with a broccolini side.
The broccolini was absolutely delish. So simple yet flavorful and accompanied the meal fantastically. The spaghetti alle vongole was good but not my favorite. The clams were great and tender but the sauce was a bit too salty for my taste. I think either a bit of extra white wine or lemon could have helped to cut the saltiness some, but it wasn't so much that it wasn't edible. The paglia e fieno was amazing! Loved the bouquet of mushrooms they used and it had such good flavor. It was definitely our favorite dish.
Service was great, waters were always filled, and they were efficient.
Finding the place is half the fun! The risotto and olives under my fish were exceptional contributions and not an afterthought to the delicious entree. Best dessert I've ever had, get the Butterscotch.
This was hands down the highlight of our Seattle trip. We were able to get a table Thursday night to watch the Gin Joints perform. The ambiance and the music was amazing. Now the food - it was incredible. The lasagna was out of this world, if you get one thing make sure it’s that. The vongole was great as well. Arancini are a MUST! Can’t wait to come back!
A fun staple for Seattle. Located in Pike Place, this restaurant has high quality food, a great atmosphere, and wonderful service. Reservations are helpful, but if you are planning to do a walk in, out your name down early. Our favorite was the tuna crudo. Highly recommend for a nice meal. Some nights have specialty shows, check the website for the schedule.
We loved The Pink Door! This was recommended to us and it didn’t disappoint. Loved the vibe of the restaurant and the aerial show was so unique! The food and cocktails were excellent. Taylor, the hostess was very helpful and our waitress, Abbey was fantastic! Highly recommend!
This place was a great surprise! Nice food and atmosphere! Our server was really friendly. Food came fast! There’s no sign at the door which makes hard to find the place! Overall, I had a great time here!
Having stood the test of time for over four decades, this restaurant boasts an impressive 42-year history, ensuring a rich dining experience steeped in tradition. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance of elegance and comfort, complementing its prime location. An intriguing aspect is their selection of off-menu items, which adds an exclusive touch to the dining experience. Overall, it's a remarkable establishment that consistently delivers quality and sophistication.
