We sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice and helpful. The food was very good, but I thought the dessert could be improved upon. The cocktails at the bar were great. I liked the carrot salad and it was surprisingly rich. The cheese plate came with a surprisingly large amount of crackers. Overall a very good meal and a nice experience at the bar when we didn't have a reservation.

An intimate setting with an open kitchen and great food with top quality ingredients. A good option for a special occassion dinner such as a birthday. The menu here changes daily and for me that's a good enough reason to visit again. The service is impeccable and they also have an extensive wine list.

A cute brunch and dinner place located in the Melrose market in Capitol Hill. The menu is made of food sourced locally and changes often based on what type of food they can get. You never know what’s going to be on the menu when you go. Everything is served family style so you have a chance to be able to try everything on the Menu. Some of the menu items are common staples: like charcuterie and yogurt, but they are often sure to change the menu for what they are able to get from their suppliers.

Great atmosphere in this farm to table restaurant. The kitchen is complete open next to a big communal table. The menu includes a la carte and degustation. The food is quality with strong flavors. I find it a bit too ambitious at time in mixing flavors that don’t necessarily go together. I would prefer more focus on the basic ingredients. Still a good experience.

One of my favorite spots to have a nice meal with perfect service, in a bustling yet beautiful and secluded atmosphere in Capitol Hill. The menu is varied yet not overwhelming, using quality ingredients and a nice drink selection. I love the Columbia City baguette with whipped butter and sea salt. Usually able to share a few of their locally foraged plates as servings are not large. I’ve had success walking in during the week, but Fridays and Saturdays can get busy for dinner so recommend setting up a reservation. Also lovely for weekend brunch, but again can quickly get busy so plan ahead.

We had a fantastic evening dining at the chef's table. What a treat it was to watch the staff up practice their craft. Every dish was delicious and featured local ingredients that really highlighted the flavors of the Pacific Northwest. Our only regret is that we didn't have room to eat more.

The dishes were delicious & unique but the service was very poor. We had the cauliflower dish, bread & butter (pictured), and the quiche with smoked salmon on top. LOVED the decor/setup!

Very interesting place - it was not easy to spot from outside because it looked like a store. Indeed, it shares the building with a store, a cafe, another store, and maybe something else, but it was all nice and inviting. The food was pretty good, the drinks were not bad, although not impressive.

Sitka and Spruce is in a beautifully charming old building. There are huge windows that let in a lot of natural light. The decor is both rustic and perfectly polished. The menu is small and curated in the best possible way. They also have incredible drinks and hot beverages.

This open and airy restaurant has a lovely ambiance, although we found the food had more to be desired. The concept is a good one, but wished the food was a little better especially for the price.

Wonderful, fresh, rustic yet refined Northwest restaurant. Fare matches the environment well. I ate pickled vegetables and fruit in a range of complementary brines, fresh pea salad with stretched mozarella running through it and delicious gnocchi. Beer selection is small but well curated. Plates are all share sized (for two). Could use some fans/AC when it's 80° outside.

Holy smokes this is good. You know they have excellent service when they replace the silverware after every course. Chef’s choice and pairings do not disappoint. Ask for Megan!

Very cozy ambient where to discover interesting food experiences driven by the curiosity of the owners. Service very careful and kind. Ingredients well selected. The space I limited so please book in advance. Prices ok.

Wasn't super impressed for how hyped it was. Food was solid but super pricey. We did the tasting menu and asked if it contained much fish because one of our party didn't eat seafood. We were assured substitutions could be made, but the first three dishes had fish. I get it, the quality is high and you don't want to adjust, but we wouldn't have ordered knowing that, even after we asked. Overall, definitely go if you're an adventurous eater, but for what you get and the price you pay, there are a lot better options in Seattle.

One of my favorite restaurants. They are the meats in house. They have excellent cocktails. The service has always been great with recommendations that have never steered me wrong. I can't say that about many other restaurants where they push certain items. The food is creative with a slight French feel for these distinctive Northwest offerings. An added bonus is that you can go next door for oysters at Taylor shellfish before your reservation. One of my top 10 Seattle area restaurants. Very well done. Never had anything bad here.

It's a very cool, hipster type place. The food is prepared with love and attention to detail. It leans a little to the vegetarian side of the food spectrum, so I personally favor a bit more meat type dishes, having vegetables play a secondary supporting role. But if you like veg, then you'll love this place. However, I had a delicious spicy sausage last time I was there.
