Not a bad Vietnamese restaurant at all! I ducked in here midday on a Sunday. So many restaurants that I had bookmarked downtown aren't open on a Sunday so it took a bit of looking to find one that was. I guess I can see why so many places are closed because there was very few diners in here despite quite a few people out and about outside.

At Long I wanted something a bit on the lighter side and not Pho which they had. I am such a seasonal person with Pho. In the summer the last thing I want to do is get even warmer that it already is outside!

So I settled on an Eggroll Rice Noodle Bowl which was very good! The dish was very tasty but thought it could have been maybe a bit fresher with the veggies and the rolls. It wasn't enough to not make me come back though since the meal otherwise was very enjoyable.

The service is very prompt and friendly so no complaints there!

As promised, it’s been at least a month since I last blogged about a place outside of Vancouver so anything is fair game now. This time it’s fairly local compared to my Europe trip, with a little weekend road trip down to Seattle with The Italian and Little Bunny. The occasion? PAX Prime of course! One of the world’s biggest gamer conventions where all things geek collide across all of the downtown Seattle convention centres for a 4-day orgy of never ending gaming. Looking to play some board games? No problem, just visit The Library with literally thousands of games for you to choose from. Want to play the latest Super Mario Maker before it’s out? They’ve got it. Want to slay some baddies in Dungeons & Dragons? I hope you brought your D20. If not, they’ve got thousands of them on sale there too. One warning and a bit of advice though as Little Bunny quickly learned. The crowd here is predominantly male nerds which means most are socially inept which unfortunately translates to poor hygiene, so be sure to bring some nose plugs or a high tolerance for body odor.

I am a Vietnamese food snob and this Vietnamese restaurant was delicious! We got about 10 dishes to share and everything was made perfectly. I wasn't a fan of the pho dac biet though. The soup was average and they served a different kind of beef with it not the typical rare beef.

Long has a little lounge as well called the Jelly Fish Bar. A bit more casual from the dining room. This restaurant does authentic Vietnamese food amazingly.

There salads I cannot explain with words they are great, my personal favorite would be the duck salad. I've also had the grilled squid app.... so good.

Everything on the menu is delicious, you cannot go wrong because this restaurant executes every dish they display on the menu deliciously.

... bò xã lụi--which is basically grilled, ground beef that's seasoned with fresh herbs and lemongrass. With notes of onion and garlic, it's a savory start with some heat.

Great atmosphere and service. Plus food is yummy.. Came and was promptly seated luckily before lunch rush came in. Ordered the Spring Roll which was a Salad Roll and it was nicely presented and yummy.

Also had the Special Pho and it was pretty good as well, no complaints.

Service was pretty good throughout given it was busy during the lunch period.

Best Recommendation of Our Trip!. Nothing truly tops the combination of delicious menu options, late-night hours, charming atmospheric decor, hotel walking distance, and welcoming staff. After several failed attempts to locate a late-night coffee shop, a pair of Floridans approached their Moore Hotel receptionist and were referred to the Long Provincial Vietnamese Restaurant literally a street away from the hotel. Our only regret was not finding this treasure earlier :) Recommended to us, recommended to you ~

Great Happy Hour. Fantastic Happy Hour selection and prices. The food is delicious and the martinis are good too. The Guava Martini is my personal favorite--the rim is lined with sugar and chili flakes which make perfect blend of spicy and sweet.

Not much to look at from outside. We almost walked past it, but it had a really nice door. What a nice surprise, it was a pleasant atmosphere and attractive. The food was very good - I would go again.

As a fan of Tamirind Tree I am guilt of waiting way too long to visit their sister restaurant on 2nd and Stewart. Maybe it was the location and hassles of going downtown that put me off-- but that was my loss. We were there tonight and discovered what we were missing. The garlic green beans were fresh, crisp, and had a flavorful yet subtly light garlicky coating. The purple eggplant was melt-in-your-mouth tender and delicious. Add to that a bowl of chicken rice soup and you've got a fabulous meal for two at $35 including tax. The maître'd is a gem and Ba was a courteous and attentive server. Add to that a peaceful decor and you've got more than enough reasons to eat here many times.

Wow, dinner here was so good that later that night, I didn't want to brush my teeth. The crepes are perfectly crisp on the outside, with loads of vegetables and seafood inside. The tofu spring rolls are surprisingly tasty and will turn you on to tofu. I can't wait to go back.

As good as it gets. Each visit to Seattle (one of America's best restaurant towns) introduces us to a great new restaurant. This time, it was Long Provincial Vietnamese Restaurant, downtown. Try the 'salted chili wings', 'lemongrass beef satay', 'fresh pineapple salad', 'green mango salad or, 'Long Provincial Crepe.' Exotic flavors abound. Service was prompt and friendly and a big lunch with plenty of food (for 8 people) came to $85.03

Great food, great prices. Easily one of the best in its cuisine in downtown Seattle. It was worth going back a second time on our week long trip. Excellent vegetarian options, nice atmosphere, good prices.

Welcome Vietnam! Simply Amazing. You want the Wow factor? Longs has it all, great food, wonderful service, fresh herbs...spices that are stroking your tongue with l-o-v-e. Succulent mango salad with crispy shrimpy is my #1 dish fav....you get sweet-salty-a palette dance of flavors. Every seafood, poultry and veggie dish we had gets an A for presentation...price..so reasonable with chic mixed with traditional decor. Service, clever or what? They actually made us feel happy to sign the credit card slip? Date, business or just casual...a place to be.

Delectable!. Same owners of Tamarind Tree opens another great restaurant offering their wonderful menu of Vietnamese cuisine.
We took a our lunch break and enjoyed an order of their special Tamarind rolls (enough for 4) and their curry duck rice dish which was tender and scrumptious.
Wonderful service, intimate ambiance suitable for all occasions. Parking might be a challenge in the evening, but the effort is definitely worthwhile.

Would like to go again. It was a classy Asian dinning experience. But the price was affordable. I had the braised duck preserved in tofu. Tofu didn't come with the dish but the duck was very delicious. And also ordered the Seafood fried rice. Great food and Fine dining. It was hard to choose what to order from their plentiful menu. I'd like to go again and try other dishes.

Yay!. What a great improvement over the last tenant in this spot. The drinks are great. The food is so interesting and the sauces they bring are superb. It is a fun restaurant to eat at if you like enjoy unique flavors. Staff is hit and miss. Some are exceptional and others are just average. have been a dozen times and it leans toward the exceptional. Don't discard it if you have a bad service experience. Give it another shot.

Great DT Addition. Long does a very nice job creating a downtown retreat for good conversation and authentic Southeast Asian comfort. The flavors are outstanding, staff is very welcoming and entertaining. As a sister spot to Tamarind Tree I think they did a great job at keeping it in line with the vision but keeping the interior design and menu choices unique. I recommend it.

Outstanding!!!. The food is excellent here! Try the Provincial noodles or the Provincial crepe. Prices are reasonal for what you receive. The only down side is the sloooowwww service, hard to get lunch done within an hour unless you order in advance so that they have it ready when you arrive. A "must try" for everyone.

Grazer. A superb dining experience. The food presents unusual and exotice flavors - a culinary adventure. Prices are reasonable. The wait staff was terrific. Our wait person, Nu, guided us through a very long menu with choices beyond our experience - made great suggestions and even taught us how to eat one dish the proper, Vietnamese way. This restaurant will be at the top of our list of favorites and of places to take visitors. Congratulations.

Elevated Vietnamese in an Unexpected Space. Long Provincial's genius is in its sauces, more than simply the sum it fish sauce and chili paste. The turmeric fish rolls were a wonderful take on the traditional fresh spring roll, with turmeric-marinated catfish and a hot sauce that approaches unbearable, while still delightfully edible. The chili lemongrass chicken served over vermicelli and vegetables was generously portioned and well-textured with fried shallots and crisp vegetables. At under $10, the lunch version of the Long Provincial Noodles deftly combines what appears to be half the menu in a single dish, with skewered grilled pork, chicken, egg rolls, grilled shrimp, and prawns alongside sugarcane in a well-seasoned sauce.

Long occupies the former Qube space, the high-concept restaurant that missed on both timing and location. It is an odd and rather dark space that retains some of the décor of its predecessor, and it is as disarming as having dim sum for the first time at O'Asian, which occupies the power-lunch shell of the former Ruth's Chris on Fifth Avenue. My only complaint was that Long seems to have retained Qube's music, with a soundtrack that made me feel like I was stuck in the movie Garden State. Otherwise, this Downtown gem from the owners of Tamarind Tree is a hit

The food is very good. Favorites were the soft shell crab salad and the shrimp on sugarcane with noodles. The cocktail list is exceptional. Try the roasted chili martini :-). They have done very well with the space creatively blocking off the less than stellar 2nd avenue view. Sizeable menu and a good and reasonably priced wine list, although with such a great martini list you may not be ordering wine.

The food was delicious, especially given the overwhelming breadth of the menu. Seriously, there were three pages of appetizers alone. Service was excellent, but slow. I just think the staff was overwhelmed. Perhaps hiring a few more people would do the trick. Overall, worth the trip, but only if you're not in a hurry.

Fresh and Delicious. I love the fact I can get tasty Tamarind Tree food for lunch without having to jump a bus to the ID.

I've been a few times since it open and have never been disappointed. The spring rolls are a great starter and so is the garlic butter crispy chicken wings. Their grill pork is delicious and not fatty like most places and is perfect in the noodle bowl. The Long Provincial crepe is a nice choice if you're really hungry and looking for a little bit of everything and if you're feeling a little under the weather their chicken noodle soup hits the spot.

A tasty addition. Brought to you by the owners of Tamarind Tree in the ID, this downtown counterpart located in Qube's former space attempts to erase some of the criticisms - most notably service - that preclude Tamarind from being a stellar restaurant.

The service here is excellent, and in keeping with the theme at Tamarind Tree, the decor here is chic and stylish as evidenced by a giant firepit elevated above most of the tables and a jellyfish tank that separates the restaurant from the lounge.

Most importantly, the food is offered at the same affordable prices as Tamarind, including my favorites: a fresh green papaya salad with jicamas, carrots, roasted peanuts, and a ton of fresh herbs topped w/ fried shallots accompanied by skewers of lemongrass infused chicken offered at $10; and the specialty crepe, filled w/ seafood and pork, mushrooms, and bean sprouts that you can wrap in endless quantities of fresh romaine and basil offered at $12.

With the addition of the lounge and its presence downtown, the drink menu is also more extensive, including an attractive looking happy hour w/ cocktail specials from 4-6.

I'm pleased to see that you can get fresh, affordable, and ultimately tasty Vietnamese in a downtown setting.

Great for vegetarians. Only 2 blocks away from my office, Long is going to be a go-to lunch destination for sure. It has an extensive menu with at least 1/3 of it being vegetarian. YAY! The grilled lemongrass tofu bun was generously portioned for only $8. The tofu (4 big bricks) was tasty...with a great grill char. They may have been a bit big to be eaten gracefully but that's a nit. The other two issues...1) The dainty side bowl of fish sauce was way too small (more was quickly provided when requested) and 2) The noodles were overcooked and slightly mushy. This was the most grievous problem by far. But overall the dish was flavorful and I am looking forward to coming back to try the veggie spring rolls and the faux shrimp.

A really great Vietnamese place with delicious albeit prices dishes. It can get crowded around lunch rush. The server was really friendly and attentive. The food is a bit expensive, but definitely worth it. The egg rolls tasted absolutely amazing and the summer rolls were very fresh. Entree options are plentiful and delicious as well. I'd highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good Vietnamese place and don't mind spending.

Food was delicious. Service was friendly, but slow and inefficient. We told the server we were planning a family style dinner. However, the server kept bringing our food without any serving spoons. He always had to go back and get us a spoon. We were left staring at our food minutes at a time while waiting for a serving spoon. Despite that, we did enjoy our dinner. We would come back.

From the outside, if you can find it, it might look like a hole in the wall place, but you'll be pleasantly surprised when you walk through the door. I had a small fried tofu pho which was way too much for me, but I sure gave it a good try! I was a little surprised with the noodles, not a bad thing, but I would prefer the traditional noodles. Still, that wasn't enough for me to rate them lower. Nice, fast pace but upscale place. Not a place I would bring kids. Great place!

This place was seriously good, and our waiter could not have been nicer! Have anyone with allergies in your family or friend group? This place seamlessly handles vegetarian, gluten-free, shellfish allergies and more! Plus, not to mention how absolutely delicious all our food was! The eggplant appetizer was fantastic (both veggie & GF 🎉) and the chicken bowl was a definite win as well - excited to return when I’m back in town, thank you for your commitment to helping customers find menu items they can eat and for your high-quality dishes! ✨

Came here for my birthday and got seated very quickly on a Sunday night. The jellyfish tank is OK, I grew up in Chinatown so I'm used to eating next to giant fish tanks. They're a little small here. The food was bomb though, and service was fine too. It's a little loud which sucks if you have a soft voice, but other than that pretty nice restaurant for when you're in the mood for classier Vietnamese.

One of my favorite vietnamese restuarant in seattle. Same owner as Tamarind Tree and the food is absolutely delicious. There are street parking nearby and is a short walk from attractions like pikes place. The ambient in the restuarant and bar is beautiful so make sure you bring a camera.

Delicious Viet food!! I’m giving it 4/5 stars because it’s expensive for what it should be (I grew up eating in Little Saigon, CA) but I’m sure the high cost is due to its downtown location. It is also nicely decorated and seems to be what I classify as a more upscale Viet restaurant. Love the extensive menu, including a nice selection of exotic cocktails. Our server, Hung, was excellent and always on top of things. We sat on the patio due to Covid and felt perfectly safe. I love getting pho tai here, but their rolls are really good as well. Tried the mi vit tiem (duck noodle soup) and wasn’t disappointed either. Great location for date night or intimate dinner with friends.

Delicious Lemon grass chicken, I’ve been a number of times and the last two times the service has not been what it once was and 6 of us had to share 2 menus. The food is always excellent but I hope the service goes back to how it once was.
