On a cold night, determined not to give into the temptation of ordering in, I was looking for nearby options. While exploring the neighbourhood over a stroll entered the mall & reached out to the top floor to discover Palomino.
Due to a private event, a section of the restaurant was reserved & not accessible. However we were seated in the wide & open bar area.
We quickly placed our drinks & dinner order from the happy hours menu.
We ordered Matchstick Truffle Fries, & a Fresh Romano tomatoes & mozzarella pizza with an extra topping of rotisserie chicken.
Our order arrived quickly, the truffle fries were simply awesome, in fact the best I had in Seattle so far.
Loved the pizza which has a very generous helping of the tomatoes, & the chicken was great but limited. The flavour was mild & strong at the same time, was too heavy for two people.
They had a huge offering on mains, it will take a couple more visits to do justice & explore their vast menu. Service was very attentive & fast, considering they catering to a large private event the same night.
With more cold nights expected, we are definitely going to visit nearby options like Palomino, more.
Excellent food. Double excellent service. I believe our waiter's name was Adam and he was extremely pleasant. I had the seafood Louie and a sorbet for dessert. The kids menu offers great choices with large enough portions.
This place has two sections, a fine dinning part and a happy hours section. We love doing happy hours at this place. Plenty of choices, very good ingredient, tasty and prices are very reasonable. Happy hours fan should give this place a go. Go early for the happy hours as it gets crowded by 5pm.
I've been to this location twice for happy hour and once for dinner so I'll focus my review on HH. HH is from 3pm-close and the seating area is HUGE. We had no trouble finding a table at 6:30pm when there was a wait for the dining room area. Things that I have tried from the HH menu and a quick review on them.
1. Charred kale salad--delicious, highly recommended
2. Truffled matchstick fries--crispy, with good flavor from the truffle oil
3. Tomato-basil bruschetta--bread is crispy and topping is good, 6 pieces for easy sharing
4. Potatoes gorgonzola--huge plate of waffle fries with a gorgonzola sauce. recommended. fries were crispy and should reheat well
5. Bacon and eggs--literally 1 egg, 3 small pieces of pork belly and 5 stalks of asparagus...I definitely do not recommend ordering this one for $8.95
6. Public house burger--Burger was on a nice brioche bun and meat was juicy when cooked medium. The fries with this are matchstick fries but I like the truffle version more.
7. Pizza--nice crispy thin crust, reheats nicely as leftovers
8. Gelato--$2.95 for 3 small scoops of gelato and a biscotti, totally worth it! Today's flavor was chocolate peanut butter.
Overall, great place to go grab a bite before a musical at the 5th Avenue!
Great escape from the ordinary...we had the spaghetti and Turkey bacon blue cheese panini. Wonderful flavors all around. The staff were welcoming and took great care of us. The decor and noise level also contributed to a nice ambiance. A must see if you're hungry or want Italian.

While visiting Seattle my husband and I wandered in here not sure what to expect. If only we knew we would have visited sooner!! Absolutely wonderful from seating to dessert. Our server was beyond lovely, our pasta and veggies fresh and delicious, and Oh. My. Goodness. The dessert!! Freshly fried ricotta and orange donuts, tossed in sugar at the table, served with warm Nutella and Raspberry compote for dipping. Astounding. 10/10 will be back.
Phenomenal food.
Red sauce was spot on, and both the four cheese rotini and chicken parmesan were delicious. I haven't found Italian food this good anywhere else on the west coast, not even always my own kitchen.
The Tiramisu was a bit strong with the alcohol, but still delicious.
Also the servers got us in and out of the restaurant in 45 minutes, which was great as we had to get to the theater. Let them know in advance and they put in the extra umph.
Delicious place to eat dinner before going to see a play at the 5th Avenue Theater! They will also validate your parking for while you are at the play as well. Their seasonal plates are unique and delicious.
Great food and friendly service. Happy hour is very crowded, though. Sat at the bar and had a vegetarian ravioli that was rich and creamy.
The food was delicious! I had the lunch combo, a half sandwich (turkey, bacon, blue cheese) and soup (portabella mushroom). Would recommend for a date, quick bite, great service.
Delightful dining experience in an atrium setting at Palimino that will more than satisfy your taste for Italian. The portobello mushroom soup is extraordinary and the Rigatoni Bolognese with spicy Italian sausage is magnifico!
I had an excellent late afternoon meal here. I cannot eat gluten without getting sick, Celiac, and hence really enjoyed Palomino. Lots of GF options. Had the house red wine, burger with fries, and donut holes for dessert. The burger had a gluten free bun, fries were prepared in a separate fryer without any gluten, donut holes were gluten free. All was delicious and served wonderfully by the wait staff. Highly recommend for all, but especially if you suffer from Celiac and are tired of always having a salad when you must eat out.
Excellent all around! Micah took great care of us and recommended some awesome drinks. We tucked in at a table near the window in the bar area.
The serving size is large so be careful with the order. The staff is quite attentive and service is good. You have both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available.
Solid place. Been many, many times over the last 2 decades. Not much to complain about; enjoy!
