Great service, amazing decor and above all some of the best food I've ever had. This is on par, in my opinion with Daniel's broiler. I had fried cheese curds with an apple butter dipping sauce, the pork shoulder over grits with a beet slaw, and to top it off the delectable cheesecake with pears soaked in honey. The cocktails were fantastic as well, the ca c'est bon was a delicious smokey rum filled delight. I recommend this place to everyone I know.

After a hard week of working at the clinic, we settled in and ate 90% of the small plates. The Yucca chips are to die for we ordered three bowls of them. The lamb ribs are scrumptious. The calamari is wonderful. Our waitress was just wonderful and the kitchen crew never let a bowl or plate lay empty for long. Really good food. And the ciders. .....yummy !!! We tried three different flights of the ciders. Some very dry yummy some very savory yummy the Porcecco Were just plain amazing. We were in the basement in a booth. Fair to say that the office crew will be back!!!!

This restaurant is one of our favs. With 3 GF people in our house, it is so nice to know we can go out somewhere without having to worry about getting sick. Despite some of the other reviews, we’ve always found the staff extremely friendly to us and our kids and the food - both breakfast and dinner has been excellent. I highly recommend this place but also recommend reservations as the upstairs can be busy and harder to seat sometimes. For kids - my daughter recommends the burger (big enough to split between her and I) and son recommends the fish and chips!

I love this place. The food is amazing (even the oatmeal is the best ever), the bartenders are fantastic. Incredible entertainment. The burlesque and drag show is fierce, Monday jam sessions are insane, but there just isn’t a night there that you won’t have a good time and feel at home.

Had a great time before an event at the Egyptian! Great food, and totally accommodating. Came in for happy hour and they we’re nice enough to find room for us downstairs even though the upstairs was full, and even though HH isn’t offered down there, they still honored it. Two big thumbs up for being legit good people and providing awesome service. Will definitely make this a regular joint.

Having gluten and dairy allergy I was so excited to try this place. To walk into a restaurant and not have to think about ‘I wonder if I can it this or that ‘ and just order was the best feeling ever. Delicious food and cider! Thank you for making my trip easy!

Really nice ciders and wine options, I had the bbq shrimp and it was just enough to fill my small tummy up! Looking at the other plates coming out of the kitchen they all looked delicious. Will totally try the fish and chips later. Bartender was super knowledgeable. Get a cider flight you'll love it.

100% gluten-free kitchen, had the first fish and chips since I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2013. Their apple cider is kickin, and I'm talking about the non-alcoholic kind!!

Of all the places I've tried in this area, this had the weakest mixed drinks. The food is higher priced for what you get compared to other bars around the area as well. Staff was nice enough, reviews online say there's a good beer selection here even though it's a cider place. It does not have much in the way other than canned beers. The reason it is rated at 4 stars is the simplicity of adding basil oil to the marinara and a thicker spiced apple sauce/chutney for the fried cheese curds. Attention to detail here always is the real seller.

The cheese curds and Brussels were amazing. Had the fish and chips for my entree and it was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend for anyone with celiacs but you’ll enjoy this spot if you’re not gluten free too.

This restaurant has a dedicated gluten free kitchen. It was so great being able to comfortably order anything off the menu. The server recommended some ciders that were great! The cheese curds came with marinara and apple butter, and it was so so good. We considered returning the best day just for cheese curds. Our dinners were ok. The burger bun fell apart, and my sandwhich was so so salty. The French fries were great though. As their kitchen is gluten free, I was expecting a higher quality bread than Udi's. But Udi's is safe, so I shouldn't complain.

My server was amazing. I'm not the most observant so I didn't realize the place was gluten free. Everything on the menu is gluten free. I had the wings, delicious, roasted veggies, delicious, and fried chicken thigh. I also had the pear cider flight which was fun. Highly recommend if you are gf.

TLDR: enjoyed the cider, greasy food, and fully gluten free (GF) menu Cheese curds: 8/10 - these were really delicious, they came out cheesy and hot! They are served with an apple butter which is quite an odd pairing at first, but it really grew on me. Only complaint is wished they were a slight bit saltier. Fish & chips: 10/10 - These were simply excellent! Probably the best fish and chips I’ve had yet, the batter is flakey but also light and crispy all at the same time. The fish isn’t overcooked which I find to be the biggest issue with fish and chips at other places. Pear cider flight: 7/10 - the cider here was quite good! To give context, I am by no means a cider connoisseur so from an average person I quite enjoyed the pairing of the cider with the greasy eats. Lemon cheesecake: 5/10 - The cake itself was quite good, wish it had more lemon flavor though. The blueberry compote was really good though. However, the crust was lacking in that it wasn’t really a crust (?). It was lacking crunch and felt kinda mushy. So maybe skip out on this one. Ambiance: The interior is mostly dim lighting, wooden booths and tables, quite cozy. The service was a little slow, but not noticeably so. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

It’s like walking into an English or Irish pub with old oak wood everywhere and giant booths. The cider and fish and chips were incredible. Highly recommend the atmosphere, food and of course the cider selection. Most of their ciders are categorized by Dryness, semi-sweet, or sweet. Great menu! Also, their sweet potato fries are incredible. Seasoned to perfection!

What a treat to be able to have perfectly fried fish and chips... And it's all gluten free! Such a big deal for those of us who haven't had fish and chips in over a decade. Also they do something magic with their tartar sauce to make it taste extra creamy- huge fan, want the recipe. Their cider selection was premier- every single drink on the flight was delicious and interesting in its own way. The service was lovely, incredibly punctual when necessary but hands-off when we were visiting and enjoying our time. Which leads me to my favorite part about this place: it's kind of sexy pirate themed?!? Okay that might be a bit dramatic: let's say vintage naval themed, which is perfect for a place in Seattle. I loved all the art on the walls, the beautifully carved wood booths and the indirect lighting. I felt like I stepped out of our cruel world and into the coziest corner of gluten-free heaven in Seattle. (Edit: restaurant came under new management and gutted the decor. I was shocked because the only thing in there now is a shelf with a monstera plant sitting on it. Also the plating had smaller portions now and it's more stuffy in there vibe-wise. Honestly, it's so bad that I'm disappointed and changed my review to reflect that change).

I'm a long time customer who LOVES the new ownership! I had been disappointed with Capitol Cider for a long time and had stopped going altogether. When I heard about the change to "A Stir" I decided to give the place another try. So glad I did! There was more/better flavor to the dishes we tried. The drinks were better. The waitstaff was friendlier and SO helpful with questions about allergies. We miss the paintings and natural wood of the booths but that's small potatoes compared to all the improvements. We will be back soon!

First time been here. Didn’t know that it is a gluten free restaurant. We ordered broccoli, calamari, cheese curd and polenta with chicken. All tasted delicious especially the cider. Wait staffs were friendly and provided good service. I highly recommend come to this restaurant if you never been. They have lots of options for food and drinks.

If you want to drink something different than beer, this is a great place for you! Capitol Cinder is a restaurant and a cinder brewery, they have tons of different cinders. There are so many different types and flavors that you will get impressed. Here we ordered some fruit-semi-sweet ciders and fish & ships, both were amazing. You should try this place out if you want a sip of tap cider!

Likely the best gluten free brunch place in Seattle. I had the gluten free biscuits and gravy with a fried egg on top. Wow. Fresh, tasty, large portions, and fast. The biscuits and gravy are better than regular, non-gf biscuits I've had in the past. They're extremely fresh and hearty and the gravy was the perfect amount of thick and savory. I actually can't believe I ate most of it because each biscuit was about the size of my fist (I am female though, so smaller hands, but still) but it was a cold rainy Seattle morning so the hot savory food hit just right. The coffee was just alright so don't think you're going there for the coffee but the gf good more than makes up for it. Parking was horrible though so I highly recommend taking an app car to arrive.

This place was great. Friendly service, and the food was lovely. We actually ordered more after we finished our first round. Not that we needed it (we all totally ate too much) but it was so tasty we couldn't resist.

We ate here during happy hour (3:30-5:00). The menu is very limited but has some good choices. My husband had the wedge salad. He liked it. Small for a happy hour price of $12. I had the fish sandwich and fries. Not the best gluten free bun and the piece of fish was a fat ball shape, in the middle of the bun. Not easy to eat and horrible bun to fish ratio. Just so so with a few pickle coins, lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce. Food wasn't real hot either. Would have been better with cheese. Their fries were really nummy. Also $12. We shared buffalo wings that were delicious and the best value for the portion size. The cider samplers were great and fun to try several kinds for only $7. Would like to try their regular dinner menu but would order carefully because these prices seemed pretty expensive. ($20 for fish and chips). Our waiter was very attentive and friendly.

Definitely the best fried cheese curds in my lives. The fries are nice, too. However, the burger and the chili are kind mild. Overall, nice atmosphere and ok food. Not too sure about the living wage stuff.🤔🤔

Helpful/knowledgeable staff, great cider, and superior atmosphere. A fun and enjoyable hang out. Do it, even if you don't like ciders. Boysenberry cider was on point.

This place is a gluten-free dream come true! We came for the ciders, and were surprised to see so many gluten-free food options... it was the whole menu! Only the beers are not, of course, but I was able to have gluten-free chicken and waffles! And it was amazing! They have fish and chips, chicken pot pie, stuffed French toast, and so much more. I will be coming back whenever I'm in town to try something different on the menu. The service was outstanding, the drinks were refreshing, and the food can't be beat. Even if you're not required to eat gluten-free like I am, you will not be disappointed by Capitol Cider.
