This place is almost literally a hole in the wall. It has 4 chairs for customers. But damn the food is good. Fish fried up to perfection. Excellent tarter sauce even. Crab puppies were soft and moist. Fish and chips and the crab puppies are even Gluten Free!

I just ate here for the first time today. I've been meaning to go for a while now because the owner always sees me waiting for the bus and says hello and is really nice and funny. I got a 5 piece catfish and chips and a mini sweet potato pie. I'm from Virginia where we used to have fish fries all the time with catfish we caught from the lake. Eating this food, I was taken back to those fish fries with my family. The crispy batter coating is perfectly seasoned, not too thin or too thick, and the fish inside is flaky and moist. The hand cut style chips are crisp outside and fluffy inside. The tartar sauce is delicious and has so much flavor and zest that goes perfectly with the seasonings on the fish. That sweet potato pie though!!! It was incredible! The pie crust seemed to be made of ginger snaps, and the filling was sticky, spiced, sweet, and earthy just how it should be. I will be back!

Very nice place, small and clean. Friendly staff and a good variety of things to choose from. Fish was on point but the highlight was the smoked salmon chowder. Will be back for a large cup next time!

You could tell this place was family owned. It was very clean, the service was fast and the employees were very friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves great food. The 1 bad thing was the restaurant was small.

my husband and i went after seeing this place featured in a YouTube video comparing low-cost salmon with ridiculously priced salmon. we were intrigued by salmon fish and chips (i personally LOVE salmon) but it was hard to wrap our heads around. so, off we went on a day off to seattle to try this for ourselves. and oh... my gosh... it was worth the drive! it made me so deliriously happy, I'm actually sad that I'll be moving away and unable to go there more regularly. highly, highly recommended!

Had seen this spot in an online show and had to check it out, did not disappoint!! This is the BEST fish n chips I’ve had in my life, try the Salmon Chowder you’ll be glad you did. Visiting from Idaho but we will make this a normal stop on future visits. YUM!!!

Fantastic fish and chips, and a total bargain! The taste and quality of the food is great, and the many offers plenty of options. Having recently moved up from Texas, I'm used to a fish and chips place having one type of fish, but that's not the case here - there's anything from Alaskan Cod to oysters. The service is friendly, and the food is always ready quickly.

This place is a must stop if you love good old fish and chips, fried oysters, clams. and so much more. Reminded me of a few places I've been to in the south and even back home in Detroit. See pic of fried salmon, oysters, and the Atlantic cod. Limited counter seating inside and a few tables for outdoor. The two gentleman cook and run the place with friendly customer service 😂 My kids made sure that we got lunch here again, and it'll be a regular one, whenever we pass through Seattle. Highly recommend!

Had the pleasure of having lunch here today. Was treated to the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. We opted for cod, the fish was fresh and flaky, cooked the right way with a perfectly crispy, thin batter. Fries were seasoned nicely and well cooked. The coleslaw was fresh with the perfect amount of tang from the acid. Tartar sauce was good as well with a nice kick of heat. Service was excellent, prices were very reasonable. Do yourself a favor and stop in to see these fellas. You will not be disappointed. We can't wait to go back.

Creating a new review because it looks like my old one is no longer there...but this place is so worth it. Ironically we first came here years ago after seeing it on Worth It episode on YouTube. We have lived around WA from 30 minutes to almost two hours away from here and have always made a trip here regardless of how far. The salmon is always so lightly breaded, crispy outside, tender and flaky on the inside. The prawns also have very light breading and that perfectly cooked crunch to them. The chips (fries) are crispy and delicious. That's not even to mention how outright friendly the guys working here are. Just excellent people and amazing cooks. Tipping has never felt so justified as here. Prices have increased a bit since we first came, but whatever keeps this place open, I am willing to pay. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Got the shrimp po boy, chicken strips, and gumbo. Overall the po boy was okay. Wish the shrimp was a bit more seasoned. Chicken was just okay. But the gumbo was amazing. Definitely worth cooking just for that

Get your fish n' chips fix right here. Awesome place, great food with a Cajun twist. The guys that work here are really cool. TIP ONLY WITH CASH, the guys don't get anything if tipped via card. The photo of the PoBoy may not look amazing, but trust me, their PoBoys are hard to beat. Neighborhood is a little grungy, not many places to sit, but we usually just get our food to go and sit in the Safeway parking lot and eat.

I called in requested that I get this Burger. And I asked for grilled onions and it is so good. So they completed the order to my liking ten stars If I could give it. So you know it's good when you get all messy.

Their special with cod and shrimp was bomb. Fries were a little over seasoned, coleslaw had no taste. Tarter sauce is bomb! Overall, we'd come back again. Great customer service with smiles.

In a time where customer service and professionalism is at an all time low Emerald City Fish and Chips stays consistent and professional. The food is always good and the restaurant is always spotless.

Visited Seattle and wanted a good fish and chips meal. Reviews were good and it wasn’t too far away from where we were staying. Not only was the fish and chips hot fresh and very well worth the price (blew Ivars out of the water), Marchay (sp?) who served us really showed us some great hospitality and made the experience even better for me, my wife, and the kids. Top notch. Highly recommend when visiting Seattle.

Fantastic food, service and very convenient location. I had the special combo which was delicious (cod and shrimp). I was very surprised to find out later that the food was gluten free. I cannot imagine going anywhere else in Seattle for fish and chips. Thank you.

Fantastic lunch special. The staff are both kind and friendly. After coming here for the first time I’ve been back 4x in 1 month. Pro tip: get an extra tartar sauce, it’s amazing.
