My aunts and cousins sometimes gather in this cafe just to visit...it's a lovely, modern space - spare and light. There is seating for about 30 people, so it's not gigantic but should hold your party. Casual - get delicious soups and sandwiches here. Soup runs $4/7 for cup/bowl. Sandwiches are imaginative and well made with great ingredients like local Macrina bread. For instance, the Frida sandwich is brie with grapes and walnuts ($9) - I love it. They also have salads and hummus, etc. Nice, small kid's menu. No item over $5. Really a delightful, casual and peaceful place for coffee and a bite.

Tried the hot chocolate on a cold rainy day and it was just great. They made from good quality chocolate (and not powder) and the sweetness was balanced. Nice people serving you as well.

We stop here whenever we can. The food is delicious, made well and with great care. The service is just as genuine. The variety of offerings and quality of fresh ingredients are hard to find and worth every penny. Seek out this gem, you won't be disappointed!

Really delicious! Has options for everyone which includes vegan and gluten free. You also can check out the beautiful artwork at the Frye art museum, which is an amazing free resource.

Very peaceful. Food all looked very good. We had pasties that were delicious. Coffee was very good. The espresso was the highlight. Could be the best in Seattle.

I tried the vegetarian chili, it could have used a bit more spices for enhanced flavor. Nonetheless, it has a nice tucked away outdoor area which allowed for a quiet lunch.
