Delicious diner food, fun atmosphere, and friendly staff. If you want a variety of food for breakfast at a good price point, this is the place. The service is fast. Loved the chicken ‘n biscuit.
On weekends, they can be very busy, so go early to avoid having to wait for a table.
I had heard a lot about this place on reddit. It offers a relaxed vibe for a diner. We ordered a big dipper. The bacon and eggs were great. The hash brown was good too. The pancakes were excellent and fluffy. One big dipper was enough for two and we made a right decision to split it.
One of the best huevos rancheros I’ve ever had! Highly recommend it. The macchiato is made in the traditional way as opposed to the Starbucks version. Customized the traditional eggs benedict to get a vegetarian one, it was quite expensive.
Truly one of the best restaurant breakfasts I've ever had. I had Eggs over medium, bacon, hash brown with french toast. It was all cooked perfectly, the eggs were perfectly over medium, the bacon was delicious and the hash browns were done the best I've ever had at a restaurant. The French toast

The Shanghai Room which is located inside of the North Star Diner is such a treat!! As one of the go-to spots in Greenwood, the Shanghai Room offers great Karaoke Friday thru Sunday from 9pm to 1ish with KJs Sav and Jack D. Try to get there a bit early to save a spot for your friends!!
We had such a good time having dinner there. The server was friendly and prompt, the decor was kickass, everyone in our family had a great time which is hard to accomplish because we all like different things. We will be back!!
The spirit of Anthony Bourdain still fills this little dive bar with energy. The Shanghai Room has been a Seattle must stop for decades some people don't like dive bars and that's fine if you do this is one of the best you'll ever find. The night we were there they had comedy and when that was over

This is my favorite diner in Seattle. Awesome staff, great atmosphere, and amazing food every time I go. The drive thru burger is one of the best in town, it doesn't fall apart and the price for quality is awesome.
Food is really good here! And staff is awalys great. You have 3 options when you go in: the diner, dark bar, or patio. The bar section also has a couple pinball tables. Happy hour is awesome here(checkout the menu)! Avocado presentation 5/5

Went for lunch with a friend. The service was vey good the food just ok. My hash browns were close to burnt. But my friend had a generous helping of fries to share.
