I was born and raised in NY so I'm a super pizza snob. Peel and Press is one of the best Seattle has to offer. Without a doubt the best pizza place along California avenue. It's kid friendly and the outdoor area is dog friendly as well. The staff is amazing, accommodating and extremely friendly. Plenty of parking in the back and fantastic happy hour deals.
Wanted to check out this small store front pizza joint. Interior very mellow and pizza is besides the point. Great Italian menu with all the usual dishes. However, created and served with their own style. I had the chicken parmigiana, deeeeliiiissshhhhh! On a bed of pasta and pesto. So terrific, piping hot food. Green salad on a Sunday night, nearing 10pm? Fresh? Delicious? Absolutely!! Great service too. I'll be back for sure. Highly recommend it.
Against my desire to keep this place a secret; The quality of the pizza and killer pasta dishes in combination with the coolness of everyone who works there made me an eternal regular. And I've have never had a bad experience, ever! Damn good pizza
Great pizza, and the drinks were excellent! The staff was attentive and friendly, and our waitress helped us discover a new drink when our regular favorite wasn't available. (A mojito without mint is hardly a mojito at all.)
We tried the Garlic Bread, Rustica Pizza and paired it with a great Brown beer from the rotating taps. Everything was great! While there isn't a kids menu, they do have high chairs and boosters to accommodate younger guests. The place was very busy, everyone was seated quickly, and we never felt rushed to finish our meal. We will be back and highly recommend Peel and Press to all!
This is one of the best pizza and past restaurants you will ever find! Go try it!
Great food and great service. I wish we could have tried every menu item. I had the pasticciata with an Italian sausage. Others had pizza and GF spicy marinara. We're going back!
The sausage and peppers pizza was delicious, loved the sauce and crust, parmesan twists are super good. I can see why this place is rated so highly
Excellent food and service. The owners are exceptional people who live in the community. We need more business owners like this. The socialists bullying these kinds of people have to go.
Great joint for pasta, pizza and drinks. We brought our 3 month old son and the owner came over to hold him so we could enjoy our meal together instead of our typical eating in shifts. Wonderful local joint our family highly recommends!!!
Best place to eat in West Seattle! Great service!!!!
Eat here all the time and it's always awesome! My favorite is the Blanca with red sauce and just about every cheese in the kitchen. Yum
Great people ! great food ! A owner who cares his guests are happy! When you try it you will find out just what a great experience you will have. Great to go food to enjoy at home also.
Having tried Talarico's, Pegasus, Zeek's, Palliacci, Red Star, Credo, and more- Peel & Press is the winner by far! Generous toppings bordering on deep-dish, a small pizza makes three meals! Love it!
Peel & Press is such a gem. Their pizza is great. Fluffy yet crunchy crust. Great flavor and generous cheese. Service is always super friendly and attentive. There's not a ton of seating, but we have always lucked out.
This is a great pizza spot! The crust is chewy and delicious, jalapenos are fresh and not canned, and the pepperoni is huge and not overly greasy. We were very happy with our pizza and had to resist eating the whole pie in one sitting.
Dude might be the hardest working person in West Seattle. Dan was taking orders, explaining the menu in-depth and offered us a twist on a regular dish. I asked if the kitchen would know what he was doing he said, “don’t worry, I am a chef as well.” He then stepped back and made that specific dish himself. Not that he had to, because the kitchen was doing a great job, but because he wanted to. All the staff was amazing, the drink are 🔥 and the food truly amazing.
Then I find out he isn’t just a server with a kitchen background but he is the owner of this place, The Bridge, The Point and Flight Path. Bro, when do you sleep???
What a find!!! My sister has been raving about this place for many months now and we finally found some time to check it out.
First impression. It looked dead but i guess It was a weekday and people were just getting off work. Eventually it picked up.
We got margaritas. Not the best but also not bad.
The food was so good!!! The pizza was sooooo cheesy and one of the best I've had.
The crab cake was also scrumptious.
We cannot wait to be back!
The appetisers were fantastic, we had crab cake and garlic bread, both serving were quite large. The pasta were okay, didn't try the pizza but it looked good on other people's table. The place is clean and service was nice but could be more friendly and personal. I would go back and try other food.
First time I walked in thought I had walked into a neighborhood dive bar. It was a bit on the low light side w a TV playing on quiet. But wait a sec, dang the fragrance wafting from the kitchen were unbelievable. The pizzas in the brick oven, the fried calamari, OMG. Delish. Excellent food, and drinks. Patrons and staff all know each other and welcome the newcomers. Have had 3 of their pizzas in 3 weeks. What a West Seattle gem. Thank you P&P
4.7 stars is roughly right. Great pizza alert - miles better than anything nearby. After disappointing pies elsewhere, I tried the very inconspicuous Peel & Press. Blink while going past and you'll miss it - but don't. I won't recommend any other place in West Seattle right now, save Proletariat.
Toppings abundant. Cheese, way to be Peel & Press, you get that we buy pizza FOR THE CHEESE. And you do not disappoint. As for the dough/crust, very good, not bad, but look, overall it's very good. Price is a tad higher than Proletariat, and far more a value than Supreme.
Look, this is probably West Seattle's best pizza right now. Unfortunately when all you guys figure this out, Ima have a much harder time getting my green pepper, onion and sausage fix.
Peel & Press, you rock. I will be back soon and hope this awesome pizza was not a fluke. Looking forward to it again! Thank you!!
2022 visit update: their pepperoni rocks, too!
This is one of our favorite places to eat. Very laid back and consistently delicious with sweet staff. Try their pasticciata!
Our first time going here and I was very impressed! Great drinks, the food was amazing, and although there was only 1 server and he was very busy, he was super fast and made sure everything was perfect. Didn't feel like I had to wait long at all. We will be back!
We love this pizza establishment! They are pro community and do a lot to help out ALL the marginalized. My husband loves their pizza thickness and toppings--coming from Chicago/Detroit, this says a lot. Always friendly and welcoming, plus they have parking in the rear, so it's easy to get in and order and sit in or take out. Top notch all the way!
