Swing by Cafe Selam when you’ve got a little time — service moves at its own pace, and is always attentive and kind. For years, I’ve been coming for the foul (ful) and coffee. It’s amazing. Thank you, Cafe Selam, for always coming through with delicious food and friendly service!! So stoked that y’
This place is a local favorite! Cafe Selam has fantastic Ethiopian food - and if you live nearby, you’ll start to crave it once a week. I’m not vegetarian, but I love the veggie sample platter which is perfect to share between 2 people. Portions are generous and flavors always spot on. Downside is
Wonderful Ethiopian cooking in a neighborhood setting. Their Injera is terrific. We had the vegetable combo platter, Doro Wat and Lamb Tibs, with a side of cheese. All delicious. The Ethiopian beer is a good lager. Nice folks. Cafe Selam will be our go-to Ethiopian restaurant for the foreseea
First time trying Ethiopian food and was not disappointed! The meat and sauces were very tasty and the portion sizes were generous, everyone was stuffed by the end! The Ingera was very good and they also offer a gluten free version. Inside and outside seating is available. Service was a bit slow, b
Wonderful Ethiopian cuisine. $. Feels like comfort food. Vegetarian dishes, plus beef, lamb, chicken, and fish are on the menu. Mild spicy for the most part. A few mild-medium spicy meat dishes. Casual atmosphere. We enjoyed good relaxed conversation with with our meal.
Awesome Ethiopian food. No-frills and super clean tasting. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The doro wat was perfectly cooked and so tasty. They even had Ethiopian beer to top everything off. Truly a high-quality, class joint for some of the best African food around. Highly recommend!
My family and I enjoyed Ethiopian food for the first time in Cafe Selam, the food was absolutely delicious and the girl that was serving us was a sweetheart, she helped us pick our dishes and explained to us what each one was. I would definitely recommend coming here.
It was my first time eating Ethiopian food, and I am in love! We will return for sure! We tried the vegetarian combo, and it was more than enough for two people. The injera bread was absolutely delicious! Service was great and very friendly, and they have patio seating - very nice for the hot weathe
Went with friends, we got 2 veggie combos perfect for 3 people. I like the Alisha wot, it was delicious! Food is delicious but it is not as flavorful as other places, but still very good. I liked the injera, pretty fluffy and they give you a lot of it. Service was not great, we had to stand up sever
Love the portion and service. We ordered beef tibs, lamb tibs, and a fish dish. The fish was too spicy for me, but the other two meats were great. If you don’t want your dishes to be spicy at all, make sure to mention you do not want any jalapeño in your dishes since they seem to use that as embelli
Best Ethiopian food I have ever had. (And I have been in Ethiopia!) Don't expect much atmosphere - just amazing food.
Incredibly good food, best veggie platter I've tried yet of multiple places, & lovely people fostering authentic warm interactions while taking your order. Looking forward to returning soon!
Every time I've eaten at Cafe Salem has been completely delightful. I love all of the workers there. Food is out of this world. Have been waiting to go there safely with covid and colder weather days approaching. Went tonight and sat outside. It was spaced out and the experience was as great as alwa
Go-to spot for Ethiopian. It is filling and fresh. Huge portions! The meat combo is nice, but I love the qey wot so much. The lamb in general is delicious.
Casual dining with excellent food. I had the vegan injera platter and it was fully seasoned and filling 🙌 staff are great and the vibes are strong. We ate outside and it was luscious.
Great food! Pleasant staff! We liked eating outside, only wish there is more space outside with slightly larger tables!
Ordered the vegi combo, the meat combo, and the beef tibs. For the vegis, each was very distinct and flavorful. The beef tibs were juicy, tender, and had onions, bell peppers, and jalapeños stir fried with it 🤤 Everyone is very friendly, would come back again! The restaurant has a few tables inside
