We love the Broiler!! If you are a foodie, this is not your spot. This is an easy going square meal neighborhood place. Sometimes the service isn't great, but sometimes it is the best. The food is good, but nothing fancy. Love the old style open kitchen and the bar/lounge is a gem among contemporary hipster madness. They make a killer martini too.

After a long day at work (and having to work late) I really wanted a steak but most of the usual steak houses were about to close. I found this place in Google after changing the filter to say open until at least 11pm. The main restaurant had closed but the lounge was open and serving full menu. I got an 8oz sirloin that was delicious with a house salad that has cheez-its on it(adorable and yummy). The bartender was really nice and the only thing she forgot was our horseradish(we ordered a lot and that was an and then) but quickly got it for us when I reminded her. Nice atmosphere, nice server, super yummy steaks. I will absolutely go back even though it is not near where I live.

A Seattle institution for as long as I can remember, and I'm old. The Wedge defines comfort, good times, great memories, the neighborhood, and even the city. We chose it as the location of our 35th high school class reunion and it still gets mentioned.

It's the best restaurant in all of Seattle. The London broil is to die for.

We stop by this restaurant whenever we are in the neighborhood. They serve good food at reasonable prices with very attentive service and kindness. It's very much a neighborhood restaurant with a warm casual feel. If you are looking for the dining equivalent of a warm hug you can't really go wrong here.

This place is awesome! They put a lot of care into the atmosphere and food. It’s one of the only places in Seattle with classic sides like baked potato and mashed. I had the Reuben sandwich and it was fantastic. Perfectly toasted rye with kraut, Swiss cheese, and tender slices of seasoned beef. Possibly the best Reuben ever. The food came out hot within 15 minutes, service was diligent and consistent, and I can’t understand how they turn a profit with such great prices! Overall a fabulous experience. I’m going to try the prime rib next.

For a classic 50's steakhouse atmosphere, can't be beat! The vegetable beef soup was overflowing with delicious big chunks of beef. The London broil was tasty, a generous portion, and had a nice peppercorn gravy that really complemented the flavors, and the baked potato was creamy and tasty even without the toppings, and even the potato skin was delicious. The interior decor and staff look like they haven't changed for years, which is part of its charm - dark wood, odd photos of underwater tentacles, comfortable booths, low lighting, an aquarium. It seemed like many of the patrons were well known by staff and come there every week.

First time at the broiler yesterday. Jon was our server in the main room and he was an absolute legend. Great service! I’d come back just for him. The food was what I expected - reasonably priced and quite good. The onion rings are absolutely worth the $1 upgrade. Also had a pomegranate martini that was fantastic. Jumped over to the cocktail lounge after dining room closed and had a great boozy hot drink.

Iconic Seattle restaurant! They have everything from burgers, lasagna, steaks, and prime rib on weekends. On their donner salads, they use cheez-its instead of croutons. Make sure to check out the lounge - it's like stepping back in time as it has vintage vibes! It does have tvs to watch a game. Drinks are good and strong.

Pleasant as usual. Meat quality has definitely gone downhill since I first started coming over 50 years ago (!!!). Prime rib was tasteless, a bit tough. Potato still delicious. My brother really enjoyed his teriyaki steak. Wine prices remarkably reasonable. I come back because it’s an icon that holds pleasant memories, not for the food.

Had a very enjoyable dinner here. The zing wings were great, nice and juicy and not too dry. The onion rings were really crispy and freshly fried. A must order dish I say. The NY steaks and the Fillet Mignon were good too. One of the more affordable steak place in Seattle. A definite worthy visit in a rustic setting. Highly recommended!

Our first time to this popular old school neighborhood restaurant. There was a neighborhood car show in the parking lot that was also excellent. We had lunch, which was very good. Hand ground meat on hamburgers and several selections. Side salad and blue cheese dressing were good. The salad had a few cheese crackers on top in place of croutons. Great idea and reminded me of something my mom would do. Chicken may be substituted for beef any burger. Will definitely go back.

I wish I took a picture of the steak, (prime Rib) my partner had. It was delicious, soft to the cut and bite and definitely worth the price. But leftovers will do....it's even more amazing the next day. Drinks: Don't be judgemental like me because I usually don't like to buy mixed drinks at restaurants because they are weak sauce usually, BUT, definitely not this place. I had the bullet Rye mixed drink and everytime I took a sip, I questioned my inability to avoid a nap on the ride home😂🤣🤣😅, have a drink, it's definitely worth it. TREAT YOURSELF. I am not the biggest steak person and honestly I have been craving lasagna for months, so I ordered it when I saw it on the menu. It's a broiler, it was definitely worth $16. I loved the surprise mushrooms in it, but it was not the most amazing lasagna I HAVE EVER HAD but it worked for what I needed then. I wasn't the biggest fan of beef in lasagna but ONLY because I always eat it with Italian sausage. The crowd is older and I appreciated that. Definitely a place where people are not on their phones, believe it or not, which makes it intimate.

Loved this place for years!! It's like an old sweater that just keeps getting as time goes on. It's really exciting to see developers & city planners in Seattle tear the fabric out in places that unite the community in order to put profits and high occupancy dwellings in their place.

This place is an absolute treasure! It won't win a James Beard award but the food is good, drinks are amazing, it is affordable and the retro ambiance is amazing.
