This unassuming little spot cluttered amongst the grocery of Uwajimaya, puts out some great Korean classics with precise timing (7 or 9 minutes as instructed by the friendly staff) and delicious flavor.

I liked this place; the portions were perfect, the food was pretty tasty, and it was really cheap. The server even offered to mix my dad's bibimbap for him; in my experience, I've always had to mix them myself. I had their japchae, which I thought was good (haven't has enough japchae to compare). They also don't charge extra for brown rice :P yesssss

Fresh made to order and worth the wait. I ordered the Hotpot Beef Bimbap with Seaweed soup and it was exactly what I expected...classic taste.

Generous portions, nice flavors. I won't profess to be an expert on Korean cuisine, but I can say that the two things I've had at Shilla I greatly enjoyed. On my first visit I tried the Kimchi Fried Rice. A twist on its better-known cousin, Chinese Fried Rice, the Kimchi Fried Rice was spicy enough to make my nose run without burning my tongue out of my head. The portions of rice, kimchi, and meat were appropriate, and overall it was more than I should have eaten in one sitting.

On my second visit I ordered the Bulgogi Dupbop. I'd never heard of this dish. A bed of rice was topped with sauteed onions, bulgogi that was cooked with egg and carrot and a sweet soy sauce. Again, the portion was very generous! The tastes were very good, however I found the meat a little overcooked and I could have used a little more of the sweet soy sauce.

Oh, and if you go around lunch time, give yourself 10 minutes or so for them to prepare your order. The times I have been there they had a steady stream of customers.

Cheap and Tasty. Bi Bim Bop was plentiful, cheap and tasty. My friend had the new teriyaki chicken and loved it - the portion was quite huge for the price.

Definitely the best place to eat in the food court.

Korean-style shabu-shabu was eaten with gusto. Stopped by with a friend from Chicago for dinner in late 2005 or early 2006 and ordered the shabu-shabu. We requested it be serviced Korean-style with all the extra condiments that goes so well with this dish. We both ate heartily and left stuffed. Good stuff. We didn't try anything else that I remember. - Samit C

Three things: Tasty food, Friendly staff, and great price for the portions given! Eating at Shilla Korean BBQ is a bit out of the way for me, but the food and service is amazing and this is why I don't mind the 20+ minute commute to eat dinner there. Shilla has a nice sized menu which is not too large, but offers enough choices between different dishes. Pricing is great for the portions that are dished up. My favorite is the Bento Combo 1. As shown in the picture, this combo comes with bulgogi, steamed rice, a fried egg, some gyoza, a side salad, side vegetables, soup, and package of Seaweed sheets. All of this for under $12. The way the restaurant is set up, you can see the staff prepare your food over the grill and stove. Everything I have ordered so far has come out hot and fresh. The gentleman who is most frequently at the counter taking orders is very friendly and offers to explain how to pair or eat the food in a Korean fashion. Shilla Korean BBQ is located in the food court of Uwajimaya and seating may be limited based on what time of the day you visit. I would say that this is the only thing that I dislike. I would to sit in a quieter area to eat where more seating is available, but it is what it is and I do go mainly for the great food.

Delicious food. The man taking the orders remind me of Seinfeld's Soup Nazi with his demeanor of fast pace monotone type customer service. The food spoke for itself. Cheap eat with a lot to offer.

Exceptional service. The server remembered every customer's name, was generous with refills, and gave excellent instructions on how to eat the cuisine on order. I ordered the Country Style 'Bi Bim' rice, and he cooked, mixed, and served it right up in front of me in less than ten minutes in a earthenware bowl. It tasted great, and the service topped off a truly wonderful lunch.

Friendly staff, very welcoming. I ordered the bento with the bbq chicken. They finished the order very quickly and he even recommended the best way to eat it all. I'll take pictures next time. The food was great and so was the price.

Surprisingly, this small, "food court" type eatery serves the "right" stone pot Bibimbap - there's actually meat in it! Whether or not that's "authentic" is irrelevant as far as I'm concerned 😀 And that's without breaking the bank! As stated, it's a small eatery, so don't go expecting restaurant type amenities nor service. It's small, though there are shared tables - it's a food court. Parking will be a challenge as well.

The customer service wasn't too great and we had some issues with the guy behind the counter. We ordered the meatjun plate and it was pretty good with plenty of sides. Definitely filling, I'd come back for sure. I only marked it down because of the customer service.

I have been coming to this place for years. Ike will treat you right and the food is always great. While Bibimbap and beef radish soup are my favorites, the rest of the menu is outstanding as well.

Really good spicy BBQ pork but customer service is lacking a little on the friendly side. Seemed kinda pushy. I can understand being in a rush but a smile and thank you go a long way to retain customers

Hands down my favorite place to eat in Seattle. Love the owner, the spicy pork dish, and the fact that you can get seconds of rice and kimchi.
