Great vibe, loved the food (delicious steak quesadilla and margs) and awesome service! Highly recommend!
This place has food with so many layers of flavors, the habanero salsa is out of this world and the staff is some of the friendliest I have encountered in Seattle. Will definitely go back soon!
Get there early! El Grito is quickly becoming a neighborhood institution. Come for the tortilla chips, stay for the absolutely delicious carnitas or fajitas plates.
My god 50 characters?! Okay I loved it, it was really cool. “I loved it” would have sufficed. Great place!
I think this place deserves a 4.5 star rating, so I'm giving it 5 to bump it up. The burrito I had was really good, and the red sauce was SO flavorful and delicious. The Marg was fine too, definitely satisfying!
Was really impressed by El Grito Taqueria. I was reluctant to visit as the place looks closed from the outside and then the entrance area looks empty as well. The food is delicious and the portions are huge, I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken quesadillas. Great guacamole 🥑! This is my new favorite Mexican place in South Lake Union.
Super casual bar serving good drinks and some mean food. The mushroom quesadilla was fantastic and the shrimp tacos not far behind
Great food, great ambience. Plenty of veggie options. The seven layer dip is unbelievable.
Plan to walk to take transit as street parking is expensive.
One of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to, best in the Seattle area. I got two simple Carnitas tacos, and it was amazing. They also had Jarritos Soda. Service was amazingly quick. The only con was it's not in the best area.
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants ever ! 🇲🇽
I’ve visited here and dined about two times now and have had take aways a couple of time. Their Chips and Guacamole is Devine and I never miss it 😭✨
🕯 ❤️Cute spot for a candle light dinner too, but a little noisy on Saturdays and Friday nights! (They’re closed on Sunday 😞)
🌸 Decor - They have really envisioned everything and displayed Mexican theme delightfully. The colorful lanterns, the brick walls, Mexican themed painting 🖼
🌮 Food - They’re really delicious! Customizable to make vegan /vegetarian dishes too and switch out the meat. I hands down love their chips and salsa 💃 Apart from that, I’ve tried their enchiladas, rice and beans, quesadillas, tortillas and nachos, I’d rate it a 10/10, except they’re a little oily so I’d give it an 8/10 sometimes.
🍹 Drinks - They have a great choice of cocktails and various non alcoholic beverages for people like me ! I’ve tried their iced tea ✨
🫶Service - Super fast and friendly servers!
Excited to visit there again soon 💕💕
We just spent four days in Seattle and this was the best meal we’ve had!! Our server was so nice and all the food was great, hot, great portions (you can definitely share the fajitas) and reasonably priced! My hubby loved his enchiladas, we loved the fajitas, and my teenager the quesadilla. It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere! Don’t hesitate to eat here (especially if you are tired of overpriced, overrated seafood).
Amazingly fast service and the best food I’ve had in the US in regards to Mexican. Legitimately the best. Like holy cow
Stopped in around 10pm on Friday night. Only bar seating after the front closed so a smaller menu as well. We ordered a chicken quesadilla and carnitas tacos. Both were delicious and the quesadilla was much bigger than we thought and very juicy. Likewise, I was worried that the carnitas were going to be dry but they were not! Also we ordered a slushy pina colada which was actually really good and refreshing. The food tastes of quality. Definitely recommend and would go back.
It can be busy in waves but I came after the lunch wave. One of the best Tex Mex burritos I’ve ever had.
Had a good time! Food was very delicious, I love that they used authentic Mexican cheeses on the nachos. Great prices and good happy hour selection.
Loved the food here today. Margs we’re strong and delicious. Chips and salsa on point. Loved the shrimp tacos and the refried beans. The serving sizes are generous. I wish the service had been a bit more attentive and the churros were too hard but other than that I loved the experience and I will be back!
Great food, fast service, reasonable portion sizes and fair prices; what more can you ask for? We all enjoyed our food & there were truly no complaints. I would definitely go back if I lived in the area.
Not a bad spot for close to the hotel after a sports event low-key nice ambience, drinks and munchies! Their tacos, off the chain. They had a tequila special that night, probably the biggest mistake was ordering two of them lol. Server behind the bar, I forgot your name.. he made our night! Check it out for yourself... also really close to the hotel so you couldn't go wrong with that! Plus we got a free Tequilla Hat, thanks again!🍻🥰
Amazing decorating! I love the atmosphere. My burrito was plain, although I did order the simplest item on the menu. My friend said the tacos were delicious – I will order those next time.
While visiting from NY, I was trying to check out local favorites. It took me maybe 10 minutes from my hotel to walk there. It was very busy during happy hour… obviously! The bartender did good best to acknowledge me while running around. I did get my drinks and food fairly quick. I imagine there’s more back house staff than front?
Overall, it’s worth checking out. My only question would be, where are the Spanish speaking employees??
Oh, and happy hour prices can be a little confusing depending on where you’re from. Just check it out and explore as many restaurants while you’re here!
Be aware of your surroundings when walking around.
Absolutely fantastic spot to fill up on tacos during Taco Tuesday. 3 dollar tacos and I tried a good variety of the pork, beef, fish options. Hard to get such a good value in Seattle these days with such authentic delicious Mexican flavors. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
