I have been trying the same dish at different restaurants. Tonight I ordered “beef with bitter melon” at House of Hong. I would give this dish 5 stars.
They also have Dim Sum starting from 9:30 to 3:00pm
I have been there with two of my chinese friends. In my point of view, I think there food are tasty and reasonable price also.
There resturent should be pack. Maybe because of not the right time for chinese people to eat dim sum, that is why there are only 3 tables when we went there around 7pm.
I hope this help.
Located in the International district, House of Hong is a good place to have your Chinese fix at a reasonable rate. Went here for an early lunch.
Its a big place and very busy. You sit at a table and food starts coming. Servers come to your table with food carts with variety of dishes you can choose from. You pick the ones you want and they mark the menu. You pay for what you pick. The variety is just endless.
The food quality is good too.
Overall a good experience.
If you haven't been before be prepared, the food will be served on carts for lunch. The moment you come in and get seated your immediately approached by multiple carts full of different foods! All the foods that I tried were very tasty, some a little bit more greasy than I'd like. Overall, excellent food and very good service. The servers do not communicate in English all the time.
Excellent dimsum! I finally found "my dimsum" restaurant in Seattle. Very courteous staff, dimsum carts constantly moving (so it's never a dull feast).
It's downtown so parking horrors come to mind BUT, a lot is situated right in front! It's paid parking but relatively cheap. Street parking, also paid, is available...if you can find a spot.
We like going here because of the free parking lot. Otherwise, I feel like there are better food selections in Chinatown.
The food was so yummy and they give large portions.
Good food, average service, I noticed that not all tables are served equally based on the their locations. If that gets fixed I will go back. Try their chicken pastries, its devine!
Super delicious food, I order way to much but omg is so delicious really original and fresh food !
Great service, hot food, decently priced. The host was so sweet and I loved the variety of dim sum served. I can't wait to go again next time I'm in the area.
I feel like a lot if places in that area like Jade Garden and Harbor City have gone down hill from the times I frequented them a couple years ago.
This place, to me, has gone up in quality since I've been there. Even better service than the great service before, all the dim sum is hot, and I feel like the variety has expanded.
Delicious! Dim sum here is a family tradition when the uncle and cousins come from out of town. The food is hot, delicious, and plentiful. The service is speedy and efficient, and the decor is delightful. You really can't go wrong with anything off the carts (but it's not great for those who don't eat meat or shellfish).
We went here on a very slow Monday evening and received excellent the service and above average food. The hot and sour soup was the best I've had in Seattle. The Mongolian beef was on the sweet side and lacked any spice which was a bit unfortunate, but it was very well cooked and tender. The pork with cabbage was delicious, had some heat to it, and great textures. We'll definitely have to come back for dim sum to check it out.
We have ordered from here a few times. We decided to check it out. We’ve eaten at several of the dim sum spots around the international district.
We were seated right away. Food came quickly and often. The tea tasted great. We will definitely come back.
We go there frequently for weekend morning dim sum. It's good! Service is good. Once we went for dinner and it was awesome. At dim sum, we usually order some to take home. This morning I am drinking their house blend tea -- we bought a canister of it to take home. We love to eat dim sum all over Seattle, yet we keep going back there. It does help that they have parking!
I've been going to House of Hong for almost 30 years. That should say enough. The food is great! There aren't too many other places in Chinatown that serve better dim sum. Lots of seating, so it will accommodate large parties very easily. Parking is a bit of a pain, but that's just Chinatown in general. Definitely eat here if you are looking for a good place for dim sum.
