LiL RED's was so damn delicious.. I had Jerk Chicken, Collard Greens, and Jamaican rice and Beans. 100% on point. I recommend anyone traveling to the Seattle, to stop by and enjoy the delicious food.... but also enjoy the environment. Locals here in Seattle, get your a** down to LIL RED's. Your missing out on amazing Jamaican Food. Thanks Red..
Picked up Jerk chicken wings for a tailgate party today. Best chicken wings I have ever had. Don't waste your time going to a chain. Red offers a great catering menu. I have also tried his pulled pork, beef brisket and the most amazing mac n cheese at another event. Hands down best BBQ in South Seattle
The brisket sandwich with caramelized onions is so bomb. The rib tips, the brisket, the jerk chicken, mashed potatoes, the pies. You can't miss.
This is the best place to find this kind of food, I love the people and the cooks OMG so positive environment and great great food. Omg picture time.
I've had lumpia, mac & cheese, greens, ribs, chicken, smoked turkey and smoked prime rib from Red.
There's no place in Seattle I'd rather go than Red's for anything bbq or smoked!
Food was the bomb! The brisket was tender & juicy. Probably ate too much. But, once you take one bite, it's hard to stop!
The folks at Lil Red did a great job setting us up with our family's Christmas dinner. Everything from the brisket to the sides was excellent! The jerk pork was especially fabulous. Great job, Red!
So I can say is I will be back The service and food was great . I know that it will be on the best food spots in the 206.
That pork was out of this world. The right amount of spice. Great sides. I recommend the Mac and cheese.

Jerk chicken was phenomenal and so were the sides (I had plantains and the rice and beans). My sister never had Jamaican food before and she's already planning the next visit.
Just tried this place today. AMAZING! Great food leaves you feeling fat and happy. Friendly staff!

An Unforgettable Jamaican Culinary Journey at Lil Red’s Takeout and Catering
From the moment I stepped into Lil Red’s, I was immediately transported to the heart of Jamaica, by the mouthwatering aroma that promised an unforgettable culinary experience.
The star of the show was the Jerk Chicken. Each bite was a symphony of flavors – the spicy kick of the jerk seasoning beautifully balanced with a subtle sweetness and smokiness. The chicken was so tender, it nearly fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. It's evident that it had been marinated for hours, absorbing all the goodness of the spices.
The staff at Lil Red’s were warm and welcoming, ensuring that the dining experience was nothing short of excellent. Their passion for authentic Jamaican cuisine shines through in every dish.
In conclusion, Lil Red’s Takeout and Catering is a gem, offering a taste of Jamaica that's full of flavor and melt-in-your-mouth BBQ tenderness. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out on a truly authentic and delicious Jamaican culinary experience.
Absolutely fire, came down from CA and was looking around at places for dinner and came across this place online. 5 starts for sure!
Best restaurant in Seattle. So grateful for it's presence. Quality ingredients and heavenly flavor. You could eat here once a week for a year and never eat the same thing twice. Everything soul food should be. Tastes like love. My go to is brisket or jerk chicken with Mac or Garlic Mashed Potatoes and cornbread. Gotta get the Frankenstein Kool aid or Sorrel too.
Best BBQ in Seattle! Everything I ate was amazing. Curry chicken, rice, and peas! The rib tips didn't make it home, as I ate them within a block of leaving Reds. Amazing customer service and amazing Kool-Aid! That fire Raspberry Lemonade. Ox tail gravy was fire! Didn't spend as much as some of these overrated places around here. Mac and cheese was delicious! Extremely happy with every aspect of my experience.
Hands down the best barbecue I have had in my life. Ordered beef brisket with Mac n cheese and garlic mashed potatoes. Came with delicious cornbread as well. Would absolutely return and recommend to anyone visiting Seattle.
Everything was fanatics, we ordered the chicken meal, jerk in bone, with red beans and rice and jams. The second meal we ordered was their burnt ends with macaroni and cheese and greens. The last meal we ordered was their brisket with garlic mash potatoes and baked beans. We also ordered a lb of sausages, we got two chicken and two pork, one barbaque and the other jerk, in both meats. The food was excellent, everything was cooked to perfection. Most the time when you order burnt ends, theirs bones in them and areas of gristle. Not these, their thick, no bones or gristle, nice and tender. The brisket is really good, very tender, thick slices and a good portion. The jerk chicken was good, I'm not a big fan of spice, I can only handle small doses of heat. The jerk chicken wasn't so spicy that I couldn't eat it, it's very good, but does have a small amount of heat. My favorite side is their Mac and cheese, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Their greens are really good, they do have a small amount of heat. Truly, you can't go wrong, all of their sides we tried were really good. If you want sausages added to your order, you'll need to call to order them, it's worth the call. All the sausages were good, I think the chicken barbaque is my favorite, but I'd be happy to order any of them. Their prices and portions are great, I live 20 miles away, but will 100% be a returning customer.
Absolutely delicious food. We ordered pretty much a small portion of everything. Oxtail, burnt ends and Mac and cheese were beyond incredible. Very deep flavors. We’re from West Virginia and were a little hesitant to try northwest bbq but it was Devine. Lil reds deserves the hype
I grew up in Texas and have been smoking bbq, specifically pork items, personally for about 20 years. BBQ. Doesn't. Get. Better. Than. This. Especially in the PNW.
The Team here knows what they are doing. The only thing we would have different in the south is a loaf of sliced white bread by the cash register.
The selection is fantastic, portions are second to none. I will be back for some rum cake that we missed out on.
Lil Red catered my birthday party for July 23rd at Golden Gardens Bathhouse and they went above and beyond! They were communicative, engaging, and kept us updated about where they were at, who would be there, and what to expect.
I cannot gush more about the food, oh my effing god. The mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were so good my grandma took bowls of it home with her afterward (my grandma LOVED it, so high praise), everyone was raving about the brisket and burnt ends, the jerk chicken, and the pork ribs. The food got demolished by my guests and it was so, so, so plentiful.
Thank you to Monica for being absolutely amazing in taking care of us and making my birthday fabulous!
Best people ever. Super patient and great at explaining the big menu.
Food is full of flavor. Get the sauce!!! Otherwise the meat’d taste a bit dry.
I like their jerk chicken, brisket sandwich, greens, plantain, mac n cheese and ribs in BBQ.
Got the jerk chicken combo here with mac & cheese and the fried rice as a side. Everything was delicious but the mac especially made the whole meal. Guys working there were very nice, will definitely be going back.
The best BBQ I’ve had since moving to Seattle. It’s hard to find a good BBQ spot with good meats AND good sides. Tried the brisket, ribs, smoked jerk chicken, Mac and cheese, garlic mash, collard greens and EVERYTHING hit the spot. I’ll be dreaming about these ribs for a while 🤤
Might have to be my favorite restaurant in Seattle. Oxtail is unbelievable. The rice is good (but who does bad rice...). But the garlic mashed potatoes? As good or better than 5 star restaurants.
It's not cheap, but every time I can afford it, I'll be back
We recently ordered Lil Red’s for our 1 year anniversary party. We ordered food for about 35 people. I submitted an inquiry via email and I received a call back very soon after. Placing an order was extremely easy, and I was able to pay the deposit over the phone.
We ordered the greens, cornbread, pulled pork, mac n cheese, and boneless jerk chicken. The food was ready for pickup at the agreed upon time, and expertly packed. Everyone was so friendly and willing to lend us a hand in loading the car.
The food was perfectly hot when we took off the covers and ready to serve. And the smell was intoxicating! Our party was memorable for many reasons, but the food was certainly one of the top highlights. I received so many compliments on the food, from “this is the best bbq I have ever had” to “do you have ziploc bags so I can take some home?” , and everything in between. The portions were extremely generous. I personally think the star of the show was the mac n cheese, but judging by the amount of everything that was eaten, nothing fell short of outstanding!
We will absolutely reach out to Lil Red’s for future catering needs!
Stopped by for lunch, first visit. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Wednesdays the daily special is Jerk Chicken Burrito — I ordered it loaded on wheat tortilla (flour, wheat, and maybe spinach tortilla options if I remember right), as recommended (they thought I might need a nap later). The burrito was huge and super delicious. The jerk seasoning as hot and tasty and complemented all the other flavors. The burrito even held together surprisingly well, though keep it wrapped with napkins handy. It went great with a cold beer, and Lil Red’s is working on a beer permit. My friends enjoyed their lunches, too, with special praise for the collard greens.
