One of my favorite spots in North Seattle to get tea and a quick snack. Often hard to get a seat (especially during midterms/finals as many students will take up booths for hours-long cram sessions) but so worth it!
BUBBLE TEA! <3 <3 <3 Rain Cafe's matcha milk tea is so good! It is made fresh, and customers have the choice of how much sugar is added (I get 50% and it is plenty sweet for me!) I haven't hung out at Rain Cafe, I only drop by for the bubble tea, but the vibe is 'urban cool' and they have a huge selection of yummy foods that I will definitely have to try sometime. Bonus: Rain Cafe is wedged between the impressive Asian Food Market on one side and Hobby Lobby (papercrafting supply heaven) on the other side.
Great late night stop! Excellent coffee & Jasmine milk tea Nice Place to relax.
Loved their Unagi Sushi Burrito!! The music and customer service was amazing. 10/10 would snack here again!
这里的咖啡非常好喝,还有各种特色小吃,节假日和朋友休闲的好地方
Good food, good drink, awesome dessert at good price!
Great place to dinner
Food was great! Taro milktea with boba my favorite
Baristas are nice, mostly girls
I like the one who always smile so pretty, being nice n cute. She has the best customer service n hope the other did the same like her it's not that hard to smile tho
I once ordered milktea with coffee jelly but the coffee jelly taste kinda sour n slimy in my mouth ? Need to check it before giving it to customer 🙄
Rain cafe. This place deserves six stars… It’s a prefect place to hang with friends, yap for hours without feeling disturbing anyone; or you can bring your laptop, wear your headphone and enjoy YOU time for hours without feeling disturbing anyone! Better yet, you could get tasty drinks and meal here. Better than better yet, the food and drinks are so affordable with great portion size!!
Staff are always friendly and helpful. Rain Cafe has a good selection of Asian fusion food and interesting beverages. My drinks always have good consistence and yummy. SO is very picky on coffee but love it here. Popcorn chicken is our long term favorite as we also enjoy almost every single things we have ordered before.
My friend brought me here for a quick dinner, and I was immediately impressed by the atmosphere it reminded me of a coffee shop, everyone talking and doing their own thing.
I got the Rainbow Sushi Burrito, and it was very delicious and came out within 5 minutes of my ordering. Though I will say that it was a bit difficult to bite into with the wrapping.
My sister and I LOVE this place. We grew up eating Japanese curry and their katsu curry is probably the best in north Seattle. They have awesome drinks as well. But, I think the best thing is that the price is fair for what you get, which is rare these days. Do yourself a favor, head to the asian market then hit up Rain Cafe for lunch. It’s one of our favorite things to do during a rainy Seattle afternoon.
This is a hidden gem! Well, it was hidden to me, at least 🙈. It's a storefront outside the Asian Family Market, with access also inside the market entrance corridor, near 125th and Aurora Ave N.
I got the Brazilian latte which was similar to a vietnamese coffee bit different enough to say I've found a new "treat yourself" coffee. I also splurged and got fried tofu (solid but not flavored I'm used to) and the lemon chicken wings. The wings I could eat often...🤤.
I look forward to bringing my kids and wife back to experience the quality and vibe of this Asian- meets- American cafe. I say it that way because so many items on the food menu are fried... very American. 🤣🤣🤣
Always the best time here! The shrimp tempura burrito is a perfect combo of seafood and spicy. And the Tiger milk tea is delicious. Have been coming here since 2017 and it always hits the spot 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Interior was super cozy and filled with lots of space to do work in!
I really enjoyed the music and the Lemon & Pepper Popcorn Chicken there. Highly recommend their Peach Italian Soda! Would definitely visit again to hang out with friends to play their board games and to study.
Our new favorite place! Love the atmosphere and the food, as well as the wonderful drinks! My fav is the rose tea! The spam fries are really good as well. I always get excited when my husband wants to come here :)
My new favorite coffee shop in North Seattle. It's open later than other coffee shops, is roomy with plenty of comfortable seating, serves decent Asian fusion food, and is reasonably priced. Hidden gem. Looks like a dump from the outside though.
I like this place for coming to do work or have meetings sometimes. It’s a great place for the local highschool kids to go and they add a great energy to the place, even if they are a bit loud :-D. They could add noise proofing materials to the ceiling and walls to make it quieter. The Chicken Katsu is excellent here. The teas are good, but definitely a little pricey... But I’m glad it’s here for the unique menu and ambience.
The tonkotsu ramen taste very good but I will try other foods the next time I will go back there. The employee hand me a special device that will vibrate once your meal is ready and get it yourself from the counter.
Neat little food pit stop before shopping at the Asian grocery ~ the iced americano with oat milk was strong, the eel donburi was satisfying (wish there was some vege tho), and the beef noodle soup was pretty solid although some of those meat chunks really are a jaw workout. Would come again to try their fried chicken bowls and other drinks :)
Really nice setting and fairly quiet. Food options are good and the fact they serve the ramen burger already made me a happy camper. There's a bit of spice to the sauce they use on the burger, and the ramen "bun" is cooked very well. Ordered a couple of them along with a taro-flavored smoothie with boba. Would be 5-stars but when sitting at a booth the cushion wasn't secured down and almost slid off it. Easy fix but just a bit annoying.
While I've been coming here for 5 years or so I've never posted... primarily because the food is always so delicious my tastebuds always get the better of me and I forget the camera eats first ^_^ The spicy soy ramen noodles are firm and the egg is still soft, proof of well prepared noodles. The tonkatsu curry is very juicy. Many places the tonkatsu is dry, but here it's rather moist, and paired very well with the lightly spicy curry. If you want a good variety I definitely recommend cooking here.
This place is great! It's a cute cafe with plenty of desserts, snacks, and large variety of drinks. You could even eat a whole meal, if you wanted. They even have a poke station now, which is very easy and non stressful. The staff are almost always friendly and accommodating.
Downside is this place is always full with people just studying. Which wouldn't be too bad if they were all customers. However, a lot of them will be taking up tables for hours without a single purchase. There should be stricter rules to help keep tables open for customers. It'll look way too busy just simply for people sitting and working at the tables.
I know several people that occasionally come to Rain Cafe for some bubble tea, and I have actually never gotten anything from Rain Cafe yet, even though I usually go to Kiki's Bakery right next door.
If I'm being honest, I was pretty impressed! I got the tropical creama with boba which had passion fruit and mango topped with cheese foam. It was a very refreshing drink, and the foam really helped balance the sweetness, and added an element of saltyness. It all worked very well together. As for the boba... it was also very good! Perfectly cooked, and really soft, and also pretty flavorful too!
The staff were pretty friendly and sweet, that also goes for the inside of the place. I was actually surprised to see a couple of people sitting down and eating at their own booths. I was also surprised by the size of Rain Cafe as well.
Overall, I thought that it was pretty solid place with some delicious drinks! Maybe I'll swing by more often!
Rain got 4 stars from me only because of a staffing issue. No one to fill the rain water dispenser and the table we sat at had dusty horizontal blinds and a table I wiped off a I sat.
The lychee fruit ice was amazing. The beef noodle dish was good as was the Ramen dish, shoyu i think, was also good but he said there was flavorless pork steeped in it so yeah. Still really good.
The atmosphere, vibe, music, and location was all primo, awesome, and I highly recommend Rain Cafe on hwy 99.
This place is a great choice to study, work, or for a quick bite. It's located inside the Asian Food Center and there's many parking spots. There's always seating and it doesn't get busy (except during lunch when high school kids come, but they leave right after).
The service is always fast. I never have to wait longer than 10 minutes for food. Their rainbow sushi burrito is my favorite! & drinks takes less than 5 minutes!
The cafe is spacious and relaxing. Lot's of variety here whether you're looking for drinks or casual small bites.
