Restaurant Chronicles: Brother’s Seafood
Drove to another state for dinner. I missed my exit and still got there in 13 minutes… lol. I wasn’t sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. I immediately wanted to become a regular. It seats 9 comfortably at the bar and 28 at the tables. The restaurant sits in a strip mall. I walked in and felt cozy. Wheel of fortune was on and Jenn, the bartender/cashier said that Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune are a nightly thing. I found myself and nearby tables trying to guess the puzzle or clues while dinning on full bellied clams or lobster rolls or crab cakes.
I Ordered the three way combo of clams, scallops and calamari oh And Portuguese soup as a starter. (First time for anything.) Never heard of the soup but it says it’s mom’s soup on the menu. Very delicious, had lentils and potatoes , kale and a sausage in it. Yum! I would come back just for the soup. I normally don’t post empty plates or bowls but here we are…
Laura, my waitress was wonderful, she said it was her second night! She did an excellent job handling all of her tables and making sure everything was wiped down!!!!! (Me Singing) love it! The place was extremely clean!!!!! So after my soup, my meal came out. A very generous portion for the price. I needed a mini Togo box! While enjoying my meal customers were still coming in for dinner and others were doing the call in take out thing!
It was a warm fuzzy feeling that came over me as guests left and see you tomorrow was said! This happened several times. Lots of customers were greeted by their first name, I loved it. Customers were catching up with each other.
After my meal, I went back inside to talk with Eric, the owner! Super guy, been in the business for years!!!! He knows his stuff!!! Gave good New England advice! I could use it… lol
I am so thrilled I googled “fried clams near me” even if it took me to another state! 😂 I will become a regular just like John.
I have since then returned and took my son when he visited from college.

Excellent quality seafood, friendly service, food comes out quickly.
I ordered the whole belly fried clam side. Batter was crispy, not drenched in oil and perfectly cooked. Food is market priced but seemed expensive. What I paid for the side would probably get you a whole clam plate with fries elsewhere. It is what it is. Other than that food and service was good.
Unusually excellent. Small place. Unpretentious. Off the beaten trail. Delicious food. Cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced. Generous portions. I'll be back. Gladly!
I went there with my Cousin today and her family while we are in town for her lil brothers funeral. They were right when they said the food was "TO DIE FOR". I AM A PROFESSIONAL CHEF and I was like ya ya ya we shall see..... Well, they were 1000% right. The Lobster Bisque was loaded like no one's business with chucks of lobster and I had only gotten a cup. We had a good bit of everything delivered to the table and no one could finish their meals. I even took my Belly Clams and the rest of my scallops onto the plane with me to eat when I get back to TN. Tonight😁😇 I will definitely be eating there again next visit. Bravo to the Chef and the waitress was hands down amazing. No one in the whole place had to wait for anything! 5 stars for sure, a hidden gem!
