We just ate there today, Sunday January 28, 2018, after seeing a post about Davila's BBQ on Traces of Texas facebook page. It was phenomenally great! One of the best places we have eaten in the past several years. We tried brisket, chicken, their awesome family recipe sausage, lamb ribs, and fried catfish. The sides were equally delicious, and the banana pudding was one of the best I've eaten at any restaurant. Well worth the drive, and the hospitality and prices were great! Thank you!

We have 2 kids who attend TXST and chose to stay in Seguin for a change of scenery. We decided to pick up BBQ and the guy at our hotel recommend this place. Both gentleman behind the counter were super nice and substituted extra brisket for chicken in our Davila family pack. The brisket was moist and flavorful with generous portions. We got rice and potato salad that was also delicious. They offered us plates and utensil packs because we were taking out. Excellent customer service! We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

We had a turbo go out in our truck and got stranded in the town this BBQ joint is in for a few days... driving by and seen the place and had to stop. They were closing in about 4 min when we go there and allowed us to stay in and eat, watch the TV and enjoy a fast, fresh awesome meal. Liked it so much went back a second day to try the other BBQ there. Great food awesome staff but a very good BBQ. Would highly recommend it

Don’t pass up this place. Home of the Cowboy BBCue! Perfectly executed Texas smoked St. Louis Ribs. Perfect pull. See the first picture. Notice the meat stayed on the bone. The second picture the bone is clean. The meat comes off as you want it... not in one bite. If it comes off in one bite it is good indication of them being over steamed. Let’s not forget the perfectly executed Brisket. Treated with respect..trimmed properly, and simple salt pepper rub. Also had perfect pull. Held together through the slice to serve. Pulls delicately with minimal resistance. The fat melted like butter as you bit into the meat. Great bark and smoke to boot. The sausage was house made. Very reminiscent of German style but more lean. Very impressed with this place.

Davilas BBQ is the best place for BBQ in Seguin, Tx. I had been going there sense I was knee high, my parents would take me there. We would not leave Seguin until we visited Davilas at the end of our day. So I always went back home with my BBQ. Those were the good old days. Me and my BBQ. Thanks Mom and Dad for my memories.

My hubby and I drove in from Austin to try it out for ourselves. We saw an episode on Food Network channel. It was by far the best brisket and sausage we've had. We met owner Adrian, such a humble and friendly guy. Overall experience two thumbs up! We will return, God willing. .

Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday. Parking is available in their lot or nearby. They offer a drive-thru window, as well. Established in 1959, this family-run BBQ joint is a treat! I enjoyed the two meat plate( pork ribs, brisket) and my wife had the one meat plate (pork ribs.) My sides were coleslaw and savory green beans, hers were mac-and-cheese and pinto beans. My meats were delicious and tasty with just the right amount of spice and good smoke flavor. Barbecue sauce is provided but seemed unexceptional. My wife enjoyed her mac and cheese though it was a bit soupy. She truly loved the pinto beans, however, saying they tasted like her grandmother's! Total for 2 soft drinks, and our 1 and 2 meat plates was not quite $30. They also offer Meats by the pound and a variety of homemade desserts. Drinks and beers are also on offer. Indoor seating is picnic tables and booths. Outdoor seating is available. The atmosphere and cuisine made this a charming place to eat.

We've heard so much about this restaurant over the years, and finally got to make it there this past weekend with our family. The brisket, chicken and ribs are out of this world! The sides were all fantastic- everyone at our table had their favorite. The fact that this is family owned and operated is the icing on the cake! The Davila family will truly make you feel like you're at home when you visit. Thank Y'all for such a wonderful experience.

It a good small town bbq spot. The brisket was okay, I wasn't a huge fan of the bbq sauce. But let me tell you a story. A couple of weeks ago I went to a Mexican restaurant as I had a hankering for some nachos. I paid like 12 or 14 buck for some "authentic" nachos. I was very not impressed with what I got for the price I paid, I mean to the point I'm considering dropping a star for that Mexican restaurant now that those memories are flooding back to me. "What does that story have to do with Davila's" you ask? Well they too have nachos and by god they were the kind of nachos I was expecting. The chips were solid and thick, and they didn't skimp on the brisket topping. The chicken was really good as well. Oh, and they have outdoor seating that is dog friendly.

The food....well they've been open for more than 40 years, so they are doing something right. Great atmosphere, great beer selection and patio dining too. Can't wait to go back and have the Grilled cheese and brisket sandwhich
