The food and service are always outstanding. Bob & Patty, the owners are present and everything is homemade, including the delicious desserts. There are daily specials and the portions are very generous. We drive 30 miles to meet friends at the Seymour Grille and it is well worth the trip. Try it and you will be back!
Just had the most amazing thing happen tonight at Seymour Grill. We (a party of 6) walked in, sat down and ordered and after a while, when our food had not yet arrived, we started to wonder what was going on. Eventually, our server came out to apologize and let us know that the cook had up and quit and that our food would be a while. Long story short, we had to wait a while for our food, which was hot and delicious when it arrived by the way, but as we neared the end of our meal the owner came over to our table to apologize and told us that the meal was on her. I was stunned. It would be different if there were just one or two of us in our party, but she took care of the entire check. She has completely restored my faith in customer service and proved that there are still businesses out there who put the customer first. She just earned a customer for life.

Our first time here as we are from Florida. A local recommended it and it was amazing. Our waitress was Elaina and she made us feel at home and gave great service. The food was amazing as well. Can't wait to find a way to come back again!
We had to take the bread pudding back to our cabin as we were so full! Yummy
Stopped for a small bite to eat. Got the French onion soup. So good! And decided to go with dessert instead of a meal. Had them surprise me. Peach Cobbler for the WIN!
Good ole fashioned comfort food. I've had quite a few options from the menu and have never been disappointed. All of their food is very, very good!
If you like bread pudding, don't miss out on it. It's the BEST I've ever had! 😋
I had tried Seymour Grille years ago (pre covid), but hadn't been back since. I was craving some chicken and dumplings one evening and saw they had them. My fiance and I got a couple of entres, and we were very pleased with the food. It's a drive for me to get here, but I will be back soon.
Elaina had the most amazing service tonight I came a while back and had a not so good experience, but tonight was amazing the food excellent people and especially Elaina!!! Definitely coming back!
While visiting Tennessee, we ate at Seymour Grille for lunch. Seymour Grille is a local restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. The unique part of Seymour Grille is that they bring popcorn to the table instead of bread. I ordered the country fried steak, which comes with two sides and is smothered in white gravy. The crunchy and meaty country fried steak was delicious. I selected fried okra and mac & cheese for the two sides. Even though the fried okra was cold, it was still excellent. The mac and cheese had a rich, cheesy texture. I heartily encourage you to visit Seymour Grille if you ever find yourself in the vicinity.
DUUUDE! Just an excellent southern comfort restaurant in a nice country town. Had the best fried chicken and mashed potatoes, but also finished up my niece's country fried steak. And don't get me started on their bread pudding and fried great tomatoes! Absolutely awesome!
This is the place in this area for some of the best food around. The facility and wait staff were clean and respectful. The menu was loaded with sandwiches and food plates to satisfy the taste of any person. Food was hot when served, and was very tasty.
Always delicious comfort food. I wish she was in South Knoxville but there is a drive-thru window so we can order and just pick it up. The banana pudding is a real treat. I can't wait to try the coconut pie. We called late last time and they were already out of all their fresh desserts major bummer I have really enjoyed my chicken fried chicken. The sides are just like moms.
I think she should bake some kind of homemade bread rolls to go with everything that we can buy! Yes that's my only suggestion. There was a buffet on middlebrook that I loved. I can't think of the name, but they've closed now. I miss her rolls.
We stopped here to get lunch and kill some time before check in at our cabin. Great choice!!! Great honestly cooking. They had popcorn instead of bread when we sat down which was fun. Their homemade ranch dressing was SO good! Like the best I've ever had. I got a fried chicken sandwich and it was very good. Their house chips were great also. Staff was super friendly and kind. Had a great time there!
We eat here often, service is great and food is down home cooking. One of the few places I can still get liver and onions.
Their Bread Pudding is AWESOME!

4☆ because of the steak. More on that later. I have eaten here 3 times. We drive from Maryville to eat here. It's that good.
1st visit had the BBQ bologna. Really good.
2nd visit I had the cow and bird. I think it's called that. Price wise it's a deal and a half.
6oz beautifully fried boneless chicken breast. Finger licking!!!
9oz steak... 0 flavor. I mean 0. Slight sear on it, but I swear it tasted like it was boiled. I ordered medium and it was medium-well. I can over look that. But it had 0 flavor. I had to ask for 57 sauce. I haven't eat steak sauce in years. It didn't help this poor dead lump of meat. The mac-n-cheese was really good. Just get the chicken and Mac. You won't be disappointed.
My wife had the fish n chips. She said it was great. Golden and flaky.
3rd visit I had had the meatloaf... That was a really good meatloaf. It was juicy and tender. A lot of places over work the meat so it's dense and tough. This was loose and full of flavor.
My wife had the burger. It was a really good juicy burger.
The desserts... I haven't had a bad one yet.
Pros: Really good prices, friendly staff, awesome chicken, great desserts, my wife said free popcorn.. 😆
Cons: It's a drive unless you live there, the poor so called steak 🤮.
Hubby and I had been craving meatloaf for a while now. I found this place and reviews were great so we stopped in. The food was good.
Harley C. was our server and was so friendly and right on top of everything!! He made sure we never ran out of our beverages and checked on us the right amount of times. So friendly and the food was amazing!! We definitely couldn't eat it all. If we are ever back in this area we will come again!
The Cobb salad was great until you taste the cheese. It’s a cheap cheese. Just go up to a larger shred of cheese and better brand would help. The hamburger steak was kinda greasy but rest was good.
Bathroom floors were very greasy.
Good service. Pop corn is unique and a nice addition to the meals. Great food and reasonable price. Will definitely be back.
I came here for birthday dinner with my 89 year old mother we both had the fabulous fried catfish and homemade mac & cheese with bread pudding 5 star food. Aaliyah was 5 star server attending promptly to every need ubove and beyond.
5 star personality. This is the best comfort around.
Had a wonderful dinner. Chicken & dumplings and French Dip sandwich. Onions rings were great! Server was exceptional! First visit but I will return.
