Really lovely building and setting. The people were very nice too. We ate at the restaurant and didn't really have time to see the rest of the inside of the building, so this is just a review of the meal. The service was great, the dining room is lovely, and the food comes out quickly. We had the beet salad, tomato soup, hot brown, and fried chicken. The beet salad was really fantastic and unusual with fried leeks on top to mix up the textures. The collared greens with the chicken were especially good as well. The cornbread though was a little overcooked and dry (I love cornbread, so that was a bummer), and the hot brown was good, but not great- it seemed like the ratio of bechemel to turkey was a little high.

I stopped at Science Hill today thinking I would have a delightful lunch in their dining room. Well, I will have to come back another day because it was a Tuesday and it never occurred to me they would be closed so, I had not checked the hours before arriving. Tuesday is the only day the dining room is closed. Now, I will just have to make another trip to enjoy this lovely restaurant. That said, I always enjoy walking around this historic building. I am way over due a lunch here. It has always been a delightful place to visit. I will enjoy another trip to have lunch.

We recently hosted a rehearsal dinner at Science Hill for 28. The owners were very accommodating & Chef Jeff killed it! Best Hot Brown ever, Pan-seared trout with creamy succotash & Fried Chicken were also raved by all. We wanted a southern flair for the California & NJ wedding guest & they couldn’t have pleased us more. Presentation was wonderful too. Brian suggested his delicious Old Fashioned as a signature drink & it was a hit. Kudos to the entire staff!

Visited for brunch with a party of four, for the first time under new management. The actual menu and hours do not match the online information so call ahead. Quality of food was good for most items. Shrimp and grits were delicious and the Salmon Croquettes Benedict was very nice, with the exception being the asparagus, which was too large and tough. The smoked sausage and gravy biscuits were bland--we can make much better at home. The $12 Blood Orange Old Fashioned lacked taste, but the Peach Bellini was good. Staff was friendly, but young and a bit tentative. They will benefit with more experience and training. Dining room interior was cool so most of us had to keep our jackets on during the meal.

Science Hill Inn allowed us to host the most beautiful wedding! Jeanne was available during the entire planning process and their dining staff gave us an unforgettable meal that our families and guests loved! They could not have made our experience any more special! Thank you for everything, Science Hill Inn staff!

We had the pleasure of dining at Science Hill Inn. We were thrilled that they reopened and were delighted that they had maintained their beautiful ambience and Southern charm. I had the BEST Kentucky Hot Brown I’ve ever eaten!!! The bread was lovely along with wonderful turkey and amazing bacon. The sauce was absolute perfection! My friend had the Shrimp and Grits and loved it. Kudos to the Chef! Kristan, the new owner could not have been more adorable! We hope to return soon.

We, a birthday party of 12, had a late dinner at 3pm today. The service was absolutely great. Our server anticipated all our needs perfectly. The food was well above average for buffet service. It was southern cuisine and done well. The shrimp grits and sides were very tasty.
