This Au Bon Pain location is usually very busy at lunch time, so I tend to come here at breakfast time, when it’s a lot less crowded. Bakery items are always fresh and they rotate their soup selections seasonally. The deli sandwiches are made to order at the counter, and there is also a varied selection of ready made sandwiches and salads in a cold display case. The hot coffee/tea bar stays well stocked with several selections from which to choose.
Walked in and got a Toasted Everything Bagel with Bacon. Left and opened up the bag and noticed something wasn’t right. I popped open the bagel and saw 3/4 of a piece of bacon on the sandwich. I walked back and went up to the deli counter.... she asked what was wrong. I opened the bagel and showed her the 3/4 stick of bacon. She said ok? Said if I want more I need to order “ extra bacon” I looked at her and couldn’t hold in my laughter. Anyway I walked out to never return. Manager caught me at the door. Couldn’t believe it. Took the bagel from me. Was clearly upset. And personally made me one. Amazing. Saved a weekly customer from never returning to continuing to return. Thank You.
