The food is outstanding! Lobster Mac & cheese, great cuts of steak, and a huge selection of wines! The staff is tremendous and the bartenders definitely know how to make a cocktail!

So I really didn't love this place. I will spend any amount of money on food as long as it is worth is and I really didn't feel like this place was worth it at all. The service was sub-par and the food not on the level with the price.

We ate here about 3 weeks ago.<br/>The reviews here are confusing; some are just glowing and others are frustrated....there is no real middle ground on these reviews or on Yelp. Some seem to indicate the steaks fell from heaven and others say otherwise. On Zomato, only a few reviews if that for this place since 2013.<br/>JG score of 2/10 our visit (+2 for food, +1 for atmosphere, -1 for price, 0 for no Diet Dr Pepper, 0 for service and 0 for we won't return)<br/>Okay, we only went here for a job meeting so we did not have to pay. That is the only reason that got us here. Among friends and foodies, we have only heard this place is pricey and not up to the price.<br/>Our meal started with a terrific Crabcake. Very tasty and great texture. Next we had a bland salad. Then a entree with a New York Strip Steak that was good but not wow with some above average vegetables. We ended with a bread pudding that was good but not wow. Overall, it was a good meal.<br/>The atmosphere is for fine dining. It is nice.<br/>The price that we heard our meal was worth was nowhere equal to the quality of the food. <br/>No Diet Dr Pepper only Diet Coke and a lot of alcohol.<br/>The service was nice and just typical.<br/>We will not go back. The food is good but not for that price.<br/>

I love the atmosphere and the food can be great too, but the staff is not up to par for this place. If I am going to pay this much for a meal, I do not want to be rushed. I think the waiters/waitresses goal is to get you out so they can go home as soon as possible. Also, some of the waitresses in the bar seem to have an attitude. I have even experienced eye rolls from them in the past.

Absolutely awful in every way. We sat down at the table and got water and bread but a waiter didn't show up for at least 15 minutes. Ordered a mojito that literally tasted like toothpaste. No joke. Food was ok - edible but not worth the price tag. To top it off, the waiter tried overcharging us on the bill. Will never go back.

This Place is Proof!. Superior's Steakhouse is proof that the diners in Shreveport are mostly interested in being seen at the latest "in" restaurant and have absolutely no concept of what fine dining is.<br/><br/>I had a bill for nearly $160 (including gratuity) for 2 people and could have fed myself better meals at home for a week. No better than average at the best.

I have always had a good experience here. The steaks are up to my standards. A lot of negative reviews discuss the prices as being too much. To these "people" I insist they stick to Applebees. This is my favorite restaurant in Shreveport. And it's in my top 5, behind Galatoires in New Orleans and St. Elmos in Indianapolis.

Oysters were mediocre. A good KC strip steak. Pass on the wedge salad and the creamed spinach. The 7oz filet was great. Service was lackadaisical and at times awkward. Probably wouldn't recommend it as the high prices don't match the service.!

Disappointed. Superior Steakhouse is proof Shreveport is mediocre enough for a mediocre steakhouse.<br/><br/>From the lukewarm "tiny lump of lobster" bisque to the wedge salad served on its side (??) to the boring steak to the terrible dessert, not to mention the overpriced martini (I've never understood why every time I am served the gin one when I ordered vodka) disappointment weighed heavy on us.<br/><br/>I do appreciate a reservation where the hostess greets me by name and escorts me to my table cheerfully and thanks me for choosing this restaurant. <br/>But those girls have perpetual frowns and are in a huge rush to return to their podium. They don't even bother to wish us a safe evening or invite us to come again. <br/><br/>No bother. I shan't return.

On Wednesday 17 August 2013 I had dinner at your STEAKHOUSE and ordered the pecan encrusted snapper and it was not fit to eat, the snapper had absolutely no flavor and had the consistency of Mush. This was the second time I had a meal that was'nt fit to eat (bone in ribeye) if this is representative of your establishment I will be telling my friends to avoid your place of business.<br/>I have eaten at superiors many times and early on it was the best place in town<br/>Hire a new chef or fire the manager.

Awesome bar area! Great appetizers...ahi tuna, boiled shrimp, huge onion rings, etc. Could skip most of their entrees. There are better steaks in town for sure. But, The Steakhouse has great drinks, huge martinis, great live music, great atmosphere. Have fun...it's a great place!

My son took his senior prom date there last weekend. We spent a month working on stuff for this night to make it special. They had the reservations wrong & had to wait for a table. The server was rude (I'm assuming because they were young adults & didn't want to wait on them). Never came & refilled their beverages. They said their steaks were good but the sides were horrible. Mac & cheese bland & cold & fries were bathed in too much salt to eat. After giving them crappy service he added a 20% grat. Which I would assume was normal procedure...IF HE DID HIS JOB AND DIDNT TREAT THEM SO POORLY!!! My son paid his $148.00 tab but I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!!

Low grade dog food. I'm all for over paying for good quality food. This is throwing money down the drain though. Worst lamb I've ever had. Mediocre steak. The only thing on the menu worth ordering is the meatloaf. Go to the Cub or better yet grill your own if you want a steak. I've been here about 6 times usually at the pleading of a friend and it's horrible every time.

Good service. We made a last-minute reservation for four on a busy Saturday night, and we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. During our brief wait, we enjoyed drinks on the outdoor patio. The drinks were well-prepared and the patio service was great. We were soon seated at a booth indoors and our waiter, a young man named Jared, immediately greeted us and enthusiastically informed us of the daily specials. Three of us ordered steaks and one of us ordered shrimp. When we found out later that one of the steaks we ordered was sold out, Jared brought the general manager to our table at our request, and he arranged for a suitable replacement. We were pleased with our food, especially with the shrimp. We were very happy with the service and ended up having a pleasant experience.

Great Place.....Good place to take a client.. I like to come here for lunch, the entrees are a little cheaper and just as good. Everything I have had here was wonderful and the waitstaff is professional and attentive. Good place to take a client or spouse for a special meal.

Great food and service. I'm actually really surprised by all the negative reviews on this restaurant; I've eaten here quite a few times since I first visited Shreveport back in 2003, and I've always had a wonderful experience. The service is fantastic (attentive but not overbearing, very friendly yet professional), and the food is amazing. Yes, it's pricey, but definitely worth it.

Very Satisfied. We went here for our anniversary and had an overall good experience and felt we got what we paid for. We had been to Superior's once before, about 12 years back, and I really enjoyed it so I wanted to try it again since we had recently moved back to the area.<br/><br/>I made reservations earlier in the day and when doing so, the hostess asked if it was for a special occassion. I told her it was for our anniversary and she proceeded to ask if we preferred cheescake, creme brulee or chocolate cake for the dessert. I told her we preferred the creme brulee. <br/><br/>We arrived early but, since it was a Monday night, they had no problems seating us. Decor was very nice but I didn't understand why an "upscale" restaurant had LCD TVs in every corner showing ESPN. In the bar I understand, but in the main dining area? Really? It detracted from the "classy" atmosphere I remembered from our first visit.<br/><br/>Our waiter, Robert, was very nice and knowledgable of the menu. We settled on martinis for drinks and took a few moments to choose our selections. I went with the filet and lobster, and my wife the fried shrimp. We also started out with a shrimp cocktail which was excellent even though it was overpriced. The bread served with the meal was good but hardly noteworthy. Just something to nibble on while awaiting the main course.<br/><br/>Even though the restaurant was generally empty there was one other large group in our area that Robert was serving. I don't know if they were taxing him too much, but our service was not particulalry attentive. Our drinks ran dry on a few occassions and we had to wait a few minutes for refills.<br/><br/>The meal itself, in my opinion was very good. The filet was a bit undercooked but not excessively so and the seasoning/flavor was good. The accompanying sides, potatoes and asparagus, were also very good. The one noteworthy with my meal was the lobster. Although a bit small, it was delicous. The texture was absolutley perfect and just melted in my mouth. One of the best lobsters I've had in a while. <br/><br/>At the end of the meal out came the dessert, a slice of cheesecake with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate syrup on the plate. So much for the creme brulee I requested when making the reservation, but still a very nice gesture. The cheesecake was also very good but I would not choose it over other options.<br/><br/>Overall, we had a very enjoyable meal and dining experience for about $120 (alcohol, appetizer, 2x entrees, dessert). I do agree that the prices area bit on the high side but I think we got what we paid for. It's not just the food, but the whole experience and Superiors met my expectations.

Yuck. I've eaten here about five times now, always because someone else wants to go. I want to like this place because of the atmosphere and service but the food is truly atrocious. I got sauteed spinach once and it actually tasted like dog food smells, the shrimp and lobster bisque tastes like cream of tomato soup with a shrimp chopped up and tossed in, the broiled lobster was totally lacking in flavor. This is definitely a place to see and be seen if you're into that sort of thing but not a place I will ever eat again.

Good food, fair price. Superior's is expensive, yes but the price is worth the food, atmosphere and service you get for it. I've been here twice now and each time my husband and I have been greeted and seated promptly. The waitstaff is professional, courteous, and they know both the food and wine menu very well and are able to make excellent recommendations.<br/>Each time we've gone, one of us has order from the menu and the other has ordered the special and we've never been disappointed.

Expensive - Good But Not Great. I went here for a dinner banquet with a group of about 24. We were told that it was probably the nicest restaurants in the area. The decor is very nice, the service is great, the food is OK, but not great, the prices are ridiculous. For a 10 ounce fillet with 3 grilled shrimp on top, was $50. This does not include any sides, they must be ordered separate. I would say that my dinner with drinks and sides, was in the $80 - $90 range. I have had much better steaks for far less money. I will say that this is a nice place for a special occasion, but not for a good meal at reasonable prices.

Mixed feelings. I went on Sat. night. Orders included salmon, lamb, and steak. The cocktails were strong and great tasting. The food was pretty good. The downside was the service. The waitress was polite but the food took way too long to come out. We watched several tables arrive after us, yet receive their food way before us. I may try it 1 more time.

Love it!. I love Superior. I moved from Dallas to Shreveport nearly a year ago, and this is where I go to feel normal. I happily take visiting guests and hold business lunches/dinners at Superior. I'm always welcomed by the manager and the service is excellent. The lobster bisque is excellent, a must have. I've ordered a little of everything from the menu and it's always been cooked well and tastes great. There is a reason why it stays busy and it's the best dining experience I've had in Shreveport.

The biggest rip off!. You would think when a table is running a tab over $700 for four people, management would take notice. Not at Superior's Steakhouse! We decided to dine at this notable Shreveport dining destination this past weekend and I will vow, it will be our last! I have to say the service from our respectable server was good. That was the only thing that was good. Our appetizers, which included the special duck breast with creamy grits was horrid. The duck breast was cold and the grits were undercooked. They had a raw crunch. The duck breast was a quality cut but, lacked any seasoning and was cold. On to our soup/salad course. The potato leek soup tasted like a chicken broth without any seasoning. It was luke warm when served. The Caesar salad was something on the flavor of Ruby Tuesday's or, even a sad example of an Olive Garden Caesar. We now are on to our entrees. At this stage of the evening, we assume that if we don't have a few more rounds of cocktails, we will be stopping at Sonic for a takeout on our way home! All of our steaks were a big disappointment. Mind you, we are paying for a steak that is in the $40 to $50 price point. My steak was flavorless, bland, and had so much fat, I probably had 20% real meat in my Bone-In Ribeye. I am aware marbling is important in a prime cut steak but, this was mostly greasy fat with no meat. The other guest had a filet which they said was just ok. The other two guests had the Dry Aged Ribeye. They felt their steaks were a bit tough and were both overdone for being requested medium. Our sides were disgusting! The au gratin potatoes tasted like a box of Betty Crocker's version and the spinach had curdled with the cream that was added. You knew the spinach had been preapred far in advance and was probably kept warm over a double boiler. We passed on dessert and decided to have after dinner drinks. At this stage of the evening, booze was our closest friend. The wine list is impressive but, they are marking the wines up over the standard mark up base. You need to know you are probably paying 150% to 200% over cost. Shreveport doesn't offer a great many restaurants but, this one is truly a rip off. The manager never came to our table once and asked us how our evening was. When we left, even though we did leave a 25% tip for our server, the hostess just gave us a snub and walked away. I suggest Superior's Steakhouse come out of the clouds and take notice. You are not the only steakhouse in the area. 2Johns is far "superior" in quality of cuisine and hospitality. At least they care about their patrons who spend $700 a pop when dining with friends. And they do make certain you feel welcome. You lost this customer. Believe me, I will let my friends know about our evening, as well. This was a simple flush of $700 down the toilet.

Always good. Went last night with a date. Perfect as always. Valet always remembers you, bar usually hopping, smoking patio, great wine list, and the food never disappoints. Not that expensive either. We didn't order wine and the whole shooting match came to $180 with a 30+% tip. It's well worth the time and cost. If you want a bad steak and no wine because you only want to spend 80 bucks on your girlfriend then choose a chain, but if you want a decent evening, this place always works.

Less Than Impressed. I had high hopes for Superior's and was eager to eat there. To my surprise, though, the food was not that impressive. I enjoyed my steak and the service, but I feel that I could have had an equally enjoyable meal at Outback. I was hopeful that the souffle might salvage my dinner experience, but 3 minutes after I ordered it, the waiter returned and told me they were "out of" that dessert. It was 7:30 on Friday night! How are you out of your signature dessert?! Anyways, I enjoyed Superior's, but I think there are many restaurants of equal or better service and food for much more affordable prices. The bill for our party of 3 was $280 - it certainly was not worth it. 3/5 stars.

Lunch is best. For dinner, I feel this place is overpriced. But lunch is a divine treat! Makes me feel like a "lady who lunches" when I go there, with the old-world country club feel, white table cloths, and professional servers who tend to every need with a smile. Price is reasonable for what all you get; I usually get out of there for under $20 including tax/tip, and always have leftovers enough for the next day's lunch. The bread they bring is moist and tastey; then I get a salad, large-portioned entree (the trout amandine is my favorite), and then you cannot BEAT $1 desserts--the bread pudding made of Krispy Kreme donuts is sinfully good. Love this place for a special lunch!

They are way too proud of their food and even though food is good, it's not worth the high price that they like to think it's worth. You are really paying for the "status" that this restaurant holds not really on the quality of their food.

Shocking Add on Tips 25%!!. After being over charged for what was supposed to be an appetizer...I was charged a 25% tip on a lunch with co-workers!. I cannot believe anyone believes that is acceptable, it was not even close to excellent service and the waiter kept ramping up the bill even at the end. Lunch options are good and reasonably priced for the type of restaurant that you are dining at (dessert at lunch is dirt cheap!) I have been disappointed every time I came in for dinner. <br/><br/>There is a beautiful bar and it is a nice place for a pre-dinner cocktail - if you can push past the room full of $30,000 millionaire d-bags that like to frequent the place. Really, I have never seen so many snotty post college, pretentious jerks and skanks in one location. I feel like there should be some really obnoxious reality TV show being shot in the bar of this place. It's not as bad during the early part of the week, but the closer you get to the weekend the more of them you see.<br/><br/>The restaurant is different. It has a nice enough feel, but there are televisions in the dining room...fine dining tv? <br/><br/>Just stick with lunch.

Not impressed at all. My boss sent my coworkers and I therefor lunch one day to show his appreciation . Although the wait staff was very professional and pleasant, I didn't eat anything on my plate and they never even asked me why. I ordered the fish and my side item, I thought was veggies, and I also ordered sweet potatoes. When my dish arrived there were no veggies and the fish was placed right in the middle of the sweet potatoes. Yuck! The fish seasoning was so spicy I couldn't eat it. People from my table gave me some of their food so I wouldn't go hungry. (that is never a problem), but it was so expensive. I was very disappointed. I am not sure I will go there again.

"Just Okay" Steak. I really love some red meat, and am always looking for a really good steakhouse. When we moved to Shreveport, everyone recommended Superior's. We went once on our own and another time with a group. Both times we were less than blown away, but no real complaints, either.<br/><br/>The wait staff was professional and the experience was decidedly more upscale than many "steakhouse" restaurants (except Ruth's Chris, etc.), but honestly I found the food, especially the steaks, to be just okay. <br/><br/>For a nice evening out with ambience and a nice wine list, it's decent. But for a really yummy steak experience, Superior's is disappointing.

Long-time shreveport resident. The food was great, the service was great---the drinks were lousy for what you pay---$7-$8 for a well drink is ridiculous. It would seem this restaurant would figure it out that if you serve a good drink--i.e. 1.5-2 oz of liquor, then you can charge accordingly. But don't serve some half-assed water-down version and charge too much for it. Satisfy the customer with alcohol, they will order food, and talk great about your restaurant. Otherwise, stiff the customer on the drink, then it looks like you would rather milk his wallet that help him have a good time.

You havve got to be kidding. What is all the fuss about this place? I have dined here three or four times in the past year and this last visit was the worst. Over priced, poor service and the food was not up to par for the prices they charge. I ordered my steak m-rare and it was served to me well done. I asked the server to take it back to the Chef and he told me that was how I ordered it! I will never be back and will tell my friends about my experience as well.

A Little Conflicted. I've only been here twice..once for my birthday and once for my graduation dinner...and am a little confused. The first time everything was awesome - no complaints. The second time, however, the food was still great but the service a little iffy...and we had the same server. <br/><br/>I got the fillet both times and was very happy with the quality. The appetizers were also very good.<br/><br/>I wish I could just say good things only, but the second service is definitely what's killed it for me. I'm not really sure whether I'll be returning for a third time at this point.

No longer our favorite. We have always enjoyed Superior's Steakhouse but, our last few visits just haven't been what they use to be. My husband is a steak junkie and really hasn't enjoyed his favorite steak here. The quality of the meat isn't what it use to be and the service has been a hit and miss and also on the rude side. Although this is a great location for us because we live not to far, we are now going to enjoy one of the other Shreveport destinations for our dinner's out. Superior's is a beautiful restaurant and has a lovely wine list but, it's all about the steaks and they just are not making it as the premier steakhouse.

Great service!. I'm not sure the steaks are worth the price, but the service has been superb the few times I have been there. Actually, their tuna fish I had was superb and better than steak although I normally would prefer steak to fish.

This restaurant is absolutely elegant and the food is high quality, fresh and well prepared. My favorite: dining in the bar sipping a wedding cake martini. The hunky bartender with the sexy silver goatee makes the best drinks and has a refreshing and professional disposition! I will go back again and again.

Oh my Gosh. I found the steaks excellent and the service great. It's worth the price for those special dates.

Swing and a Miss. If you are looking for your run of the mill Steak House and you don't mind paying through the nose for a steak you could find at any fair restaurant in America, you have found a home. Service is average at best as well. I have made 3 trips and there will not be a fourth.
