And Miss Amy is by far the most amazing person to speak with over there and has an excellent eye for making chocolate desserts as well as artistic desserts. the chocolate shoe that she had was absolutely perfect for my wife's Valentine's Day
My Granny was born in Georgetown in 1925 and grew up on Velatis. I have eaten them all my life. I live in Alabama and I order them online . Whenever I get a box, I always remember my Granny and how we would sit and share them when I was little.🥰
I have been going there fof over 50 years. The quality hasn't changed. The prices have but it's worth every penny. The employees are so friendly there that you don't want to leave. I really LOVE this place. Best candies in the world!!
This is a top quality candy store that treats you as it would have at its founding 150+ years ago. The chocolate delights are made fresh, in the store, and packed fresh to your order. Today I bought my wife's favorite and they even added a decorative bow to the shrink wrap sealed box of chocolate
Delicious caramels! Just bought a small pack to try, and my husband and I have eaten almost all of them. Soo yummy! The chocolate they offer also looked good. Try this place, and support a nice small business.
Velatis is the home of my favorite candy!! Vanilla sugar caramels (some people call them English caramels) with cashews. Great authentic candy store located in heart of Silver Spring. I really enjoyed the nice assortment of the candy as well as the different options. Very friendly staff and service as well. Price was reasonable considering the type of merchandise offer. I would definitely go back.
Thanks for the memories. My father always brought us a box of the Velatis caramels for every special occasion. I was crushed when it was no longer available. Got a white chocolate caramel truffle that was very good. Service was friendly. They also offer espresso which I’ll have to go back for.
Its the best place for chocolates, chocolate truffles, and Italian caramels that will really captivate you! It is a must visit for sure!
