The waiter I was with was super slow it took 20 min to get our food and the people that were next to me came after me, but they got their food before me. I think it's just that one waiter I had.
This restaurant surpassed my expectations by far! A tiny Japanese restaurant in a corner of Silverdale, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they went above and beyond in both their presentation AND their quality of food! As a vegetarian, I would not recommend it for looking for variety of options, but the tempura veggies, miso, and veggie sushi were amazing! Highly recommend visiting this place, but expect a wait on a weekend evening.
This was a great place for sushi. I had the California roll and the shrimp tempura roll. My friend had the California roll and the crunchy roll. The atmosphere was pleasant and the sushi was good. They served house tea with the meal, I'm assuming green tea. I didn't like it but my friend did. It just depends on your personal tea likes. One thing I didn't like was the soda charge for a refill. $1 per refill.
Great place to have lunch or dinner. Good sushi and soup, best spider roll in Silvedale. Iffy service but I have asked for and received several changes to normal menu items without issue and with a smile. This was my families goto Japanese place for many years and we enjoyed many great meals here.
If you are looking for a place to get some good Japanese food I would advise you to try this place.

We L O V E this place!! Chef Sugi is amazing! We always sit at the bar....before we even have a chance to order he always starts making my favorites, which aren't on the menu (hamachi topped with thin onions, ponzu, and fresh habaneros and the 'oh my gosh' roll). Very very impressed--amazing food--and amazing service if you sit at the bar and talk to Chef Sugi :)
Best Japanese in Kitsap County!. Hakata is amazing! The sushi is great, especially if you sit at the bar, but the specials are what sends this place over the roof. The daily special bento box can't be beat for it's price, quantity, and quality of food. As for dinner, you can't go wrong with shabu shabu or tataki. If you're looking for authentic Japanese food in Kitsap County, no other restaurant even comes close.
Love this place. We really enjoy going to Hakata and recommend it to all our friends. The spider rolls are our favorite, but have enjoyed all that we've had there. The tempura is very good, too. We don't usually order full meals, although sometimes we'll share a bento which is nice. We especially enjoy sitting at the sushi bar and watching our owner/chef prepare his very fresh and delicious sushi.

My best advice for Hakata, sit at the bar. Chef sugi, can whip up some original concoctions, just let him do the work and always say yes, very good. Beef sashimi, green muscles, king crab, ichiro roll, and spicy tuna are starters. Don't let him fool you, if you want spicy he'll make sure you sweat.
Low prices. Great food. Closed on Sundays so its a little inconvenient. Highly recommended.
Not bad. Good tempura - teriaki has good flavor but chicken is sometimes a little tough as is the beef. Overall, very good food.
