Their staff has terrible manners. Their older lady that works there rolled her eyes at me when I was ordering food. Their food is good, but wouldn’t recommend going there because the staff is just so terrible. They don’t acknowledge their customers at all. Do better. I’ve dealt with Karen’s, and worked with some, but I think roles are reversed in this situation…

The employees made me feel unwelcome
They were short with me and moved me aside
They ignored me when I asked how I could roundup their tip to ten bucks when they charged me $8.87
They ignored me when I just wanted a lemonade. They told me I could only get the lemonade if I get a pretzel with it
I’ve been going to pretzel maker for years. They were nice to me in the past. I used to get lemonade there for years without being forced to getting anything else
And it is the same place in Kitsap Mall I’ve been going to for lemonade since 2002.
They have great lemonade, the pretzels are ok.
But for the past few years, the owner and the employees have been very unfriendly to me.
I don’t know if it because of new owners or they changed their policy
But just recently, they have been cold towards me.
I don’t think I’ll be going back to this location if they make certain customers unwelcome
I know what it’s like to work in retail
I know what a Karen is. I’ve dealt with them at my job numerous times before. Customers that are rude for no reason when you give it your all to be friendly.
But the workers at this pretzel maker were unwelcome towards me and moved me aside.
I almost lost my cool when I tried telling them that I couldn’t tip them or asks them to help round my amount since the machine was asking me to tip. (I avoid being a Karen, because of how coldhearted a Karen can be to workers who are doing their very best)
I don’t even want my pretzel or lemonade anymore. I felt like The employees of Kitsap Mall PretzelMaker treated me like trash.
And this is the first place I am giving one star
I normally give other places 4 or 5 stars

Recently I ran by Kitsap Mall, and at the very last minute, I decided to try Pretzel Maker again; it has been many years; 2011 was the last time having food from there, to be exact. My family and I decided to stop eating there due to their ability to char the pretzels every time we ordered one. It wasn't like it happened one time; it happened many times. To top it off, the employees were never polite.
Ok, so here we are, 2021; Why not, I'll give them a try!
I ordered their pretzel bites which happened to come in a reasonably tall cup and a side of cheese; of course, mustard is a must in my opinion ;) At least this time around, the pretzels were a significant improvement, not a single scorched mark on any of my bites. The cup of cheese? It was very bland and boring this time around; it didn't taste like anything to me; at least the last time, it tasted like cheese, which sort of disappointed me because I paid for it and couldn't eat it!
Not much has changed how the employees act; the lady who was there wasn't exactly the friendliest person; she started strong, asking to help me, and then fizzled out fast! No smile, and not even a thank you!
I honestly do not understand why people get into customer service of any kind if you don't like to deal with people. I am certainly not saying all customers are correct; that isn't always the case, but if you are working around people, and people are your livelihood, use your manners, a please, and a thank you go a long way with me! There is no competition around this area; if you want pretzel dogs, or pretzel bite, or a slue of different flavored pretzels, Pretzel Maker is your only option, and they know this!
Pretzel Maker offers various items, full-size pretzels and pretzel bites with several flavors, pretzel and mini pretzel dogs with numerous dipping sauces, and different flavor lemonades, and I believe I read smoothies as well!
They are located in the Kitsap Mall next to Baskin and Robbin Ice Cream, right outside Barnes and Noble

I arrived and was looking at the menu with my boyfriend before ordering for a little. The man who works there started to tell us basically if we don’t have cash we can’t get anything because their card machine doesn’t work. It’s not an issue that we needed cash but the way it was said it was more of a, “go way”. They charge extra for a SMALL little bit of tasteless cheese, SUPER oily and highly priced. THEY ALSO DID NOT WEAR GLOVES THE ENTIRE TIME THEY WERE TOUCHING OUR PRETZELS AND THE LADY IN THE BACK WAS PUTTING RAW ONES ONTO A PAN WITH NO GLOVES AS WELL!

The staff is extremely rude and have a bad attitude. Believe the majority of the reviews. Anybody saying the staff was pleasant is probably a friend or family of the owners.

The man working there today at 1:50pm was soooo rude , didn’t get our order right at all because he was so rude and wasn’t listening ! I will not be returning no matter how much my son enjoys it . 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this location! Have been here many times, and has been a childhood favourite. The family running this business are the sweetest with excellent customer service, attentive to all of their customers, and delicious food! They do their best to accommodate customer needs all while being a small family business. Would recommend this place to anyone

So, I hate giving bad reviews but they need to improve their customer service. The food is good but when I went to order they ignored everything I said, never answered any questions, and refused to fill the complete order with no explanation or anything. It would have been one thing if they told me "hey we're closing soon and this is all we have at the moment" or "sorry we ran out of those items is this ok" but throughout the whole thing they said nothing and acted like I wasn't even there until they started checking me out and even then they didnt answer any of my questions and gave me the wrong items/amount. They just seemed really rude and don't seem to care even the slightest about their customers. Personally, I don't plan on ever going there again and wouldn't reccomend it to others either.
