Fab food, fun, awesome atmosphere of a wonderful north woods supper club.
The service was incredible with quite a large staff attending to our every dining need.
Everyone there was smiling & happy - both the patrons & staff. One bus guy was SO gorgeous, he belongs in Hollywood.
We had an absolutely terrific time.

We are not from the Chicago area, however we travel up here about once a year. I can honestly say this was one of the best dining experiences of my life! We had the baked clams appetizer. It was phenomenal. I had the veal piccata and my wife had the ravioli. Not only was the food wonderful, your service and attention to your customers is 2nd to none. We will definitely be coming back.
By far and away the best food and service in the northern suburbs of Chicago. A must for everyone who loves great food. A great Italian steak house!!!!!
I have been dining at EJ's for years with friends and family. We have also had numerous private occasions. The food and service are at an extremely high level.

I'm here on a business trip and went to EJ's after it was highly recommended by our vendor in Lincolnwood Great recommendation - I'm a vegetarian and still LOVED the food (garbage salad minus meat, baked tater, sauteed shrooms) and atmosphere. My carnivore work associates enjoyed their Ribeyes.

I have had dinner here and parties over the years. EJ's is the best....this place made me love meat. Everything on this menu is fantastic from the appetizers to the entrees. There is nothing at any time I have been here that is less than great! That being said, let me speak to the service....amazing....always! Every member of the staff are professional! I don't know how they do it! Thank you for our meal tonight under the tent. We felt safe and appreciate the attention to detail! I can't imagine anyone ever complaining about the food or service. If they do they can't be happy people! I love this place!
It was my first time trying EJ's and I heard such great things about the restaurant. Manhattan Rye on the rocks was great, the calamari a bit too salty for my taste, the chicken oreganata was excellent along with the french fries.
They're really good and fill me up. Currently I just order to pick up, they're really quick and nice. They have seats and tables outside. I can't remember if people are eating inside or not though

Every time I go I am consistently impressed with the top quality food and service at this restaurant. Of all of the 30 or so times that I have been there I have never had a meal anything short of excellent. Some people say that it is pricey but so are all restaurants of this caliber. With that said each entre is more than enough for 2 people. Over all if you get the chance to, GOT THERE!
One of the best steaks I've ever had. I felt that all possible precautions were taken to ensure a safe (covid) environment. Our waiter was very professional and gave us just the right amount of attention.
Holy cow, how did I live on the North Shore all my life and never tried this place?! We had an array of food but my favorite is the chicken with peppers. So amazing! Like honestly, you will wanna go back the next day for some! The service was ok, they had a huge tent in the garage with heat lamps and carpet. Felt no different than being inside. We happened to be there when a bunch of middle aged men were having dinner and were so loud and obnoxious we couldn't hear preach other speak.......I mean truly annoying. I felt like I was in a frat house. I imagined we'd at least get a free drink for our troubles but not so much as that.
I've been hearing about this place from a good friend for years it feels like. So when we found the time to go there I had to tag along.
Service is great but you need to be ready to order when they come around and don't hesitate or you might be waiting till they come back. Raùl was our server and he was great after I figured this out.
Menu is small but literally everything looked amazing. They had king crab and a few other specials in addition. We ordered a variety of food and I can honestly say I didn't hear any complaints around the table of 6. My marinated skirt steak was melt in you mouth and the crab was delectable. Cottage fries(meaty sized potato chips) were great and they even brought me some mayo which paired great with them.
We were one of the last tables and didn't feel rushed to leave at all. Overall no brainer 5 stars.
