Sushi is decent, service is ok. its close to home so we do not have to travel far. We have tried different items each time we go (almost twice a month) always satisfied. Only thing im not crazy about is the lighting, its kind of dim in there.
The sushi here is decent, and they have some tasty rolls with local flavored like the Slidell roll. We eat here often and the service is always good. In our opinion, the best items on the menu are the sushi rolls, gyoza, and harumaki.
Great choice after a day of kayaking the Pearl River. Good price for a lot of food, and service was lovely. The crab salad is yummy! And you can't beat 2 for 1 domestic beers.
Delicious! Great for lunch or dinner. Relatively cheap compared to other sushi restaurants. Very very tasty. I recommend the dinner special. 3 rolls, 2 soups for about $18 with a tip. Perfect for date night! Love the staff, so friendly and attentive. I'd recommend any time.
Nice atmosphere. Service was good. The food was delicious! I had the chicken teriyaki with steamed rice and side miso soup and salad. My boyfriend had miso soup and lobster roll with fried rice. Def will come back and try shrimp teriyaki next time :) oh, and I can't forget hot saki mmmmmm
By far the best sushi. Try the old town, red dragon, and the Deep South (new favorite!)
I love this place!! The people are very friendly. This my number stop for sushi in Slidell. I go at least once a week. Sushi is fresh and tastes great. The only thing they don't use brown rice, but that doesn't stop me from going.
Probably best sushi in Slidell. Seems to be the best sushi place I've found in Slidell. Prices seem reasonable, especially considering how much you get. Have eaten there several times and had good services on all occasions. One of those places in town I consider a "treat" to eat at.
The staff is super friendly and the portions are great. The pineapple fried rice is yummy. I usually get rolls, the only issue I have is they could have some garnish for flavor and the avacados are never ripe.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Sushi is good quality. I got a spicy tuna roll which was real good. I also got the New Orleans roll which was decent. I would go back but just stick with the basics.
Find the sushi there very good, but think the tempora is the worst I have ever had. We have tried it three times over a six month period and every time it is never cooked properly. I have complained and ignored, so now we win'r order if we go back.
Best sushi is Slidell. Take out or eat in !
Sushi Bar Sensei. The Samurai Roll (sliced into 8 large pieces, covered with three sauces) and the Ice Cream Tempura (Mango) were my favorites of the evening. My wife isn't a sushi fan, so she tried the Yaki Soba (chicken sauteed with buckwheat noodles in a soy-lemon sauce) and loved it! And a quick tip: Don't be a goober like me, the front doors "pull out!" Our waiter, Sang, was very helpful with our selections and service was quick. To date, my favorite restaurant in Slidell! 7/2010
Yummy!. Very quaint atmosphere with delicious sushi for a reasonable price! While they are awaiting their liquor license you can BYOB and they will serve it to you! Love it!!
Generous. My husband and I stopped in for lunch one day and were rewarded generously! We were greeted with warm smiles and towels and when asked to explain some of the specialty rolls, our server was ready and willing to describe them in detail. We started with a lovely miso soup while we made our sushi selections.
Now, my husband is a big guy and we both love sushi so we, being used to the small rolls normally served at these prices, ordered quite a bit. Let me tell you now that we had two boxes to take with us when we had finished! The fish is fresh, the rolls are beautiful and the portions are extremely generous given the prices! My only complaint would be the one of my rolls was missing its quail egg.
The service is also generous; our glasses never went empty and our waitress was eager to chat with us and even offered some playful teasing when we couldn't finish what we had ordered. A fun time and a lovely meal that we hope to repeat when we revisit the North Shore.
Sooooo good! Blows osaka out of the water hands down and its way way cheaper
