Habanos/Wine Seller/Slidell: The best.. Highest recommendation for Habanos & the Wine Seller/Slidell. Excellent, succulent hot sandwiches served quickly. Wide variety on menu of hot, freshly made sandwiches, salads, soups, fish for Lent.
Ms Brenda Hart (owner) and Ms Francie Maurer (wine expert) lead you to the best wines or to the wonderful humidor (excellently stocked).
Ms. Hart runs a very customer friendly, comfortable restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing and a bit like home. The ambience allows happy table conversation in a most pleasant environment.
The best part is the staff. Ms. Hart has excellent management skills that keep the spirits high among a large number of quality staff who clearly enjoy what they do, where they work, and who like each other, and are most professional with the customer.
Habanos/Wine Seller/Slidell has made of me a regular customer. The service is faster than a fast food place, with low prices to match. But there is nothing "fast food" in the excellent, cooked food. The kitchen uses the freshest ingredients to freshly cook your delicious food.
Habanos/Wine Seller/Slidell is definitely habit-forming. I love interacting with the cheerful staff.

Food was perfect, employees were most accommodating. Purchased some excellent wine with help from the owner. Will stop again when we travel this way.
Great food! The sandwiches all have distinct flavor and the atmosphere of the deli is perfect. Great staff, very friendly workers. Perfect for lunch. Wish they were open for dinner.
Great Place. I'm not a wine drinker, I don't smoke cigars, but for some reason I love great delis that are paired with a wine and cigar shop. And Habanos delivers on the sandwiches.
Took my son here Saturday during lunch. I had the Giuseppe which was hot and delicious. Son had the Hot Chick with the buffalo chicken. Took a bite and it had just enough spice for flavor and not overpowering. I also tried a cup of their chicken tortilla soup which was creamy and just spicy enough.
Friendly counter service, great atmosphere and great sandwiches (everyone else looked satisified as they scarfed down their lunch). Definitely will be a repeat visitor.
Pretty good sandwhiches. It's been a couple of years since I went. I will say the sandwhiches have good flavor BUT kind of pricey for what it is

This is one of my absolute favorites. I always get The Monterey and my mother insists on going there everytime she's in town and always gets the Stags Leap. The roast beef us a perfect medium rare everytime. Quick service if your on time crunch too.

Half wine store, half deli. The deli is open Mon-Sat, 11AM-3PM only, and the sandwiches and soup are excellent! At lunch time, locals crowd the place, and tables become scarce till after 1.
Top 5 restaurant in Slidell for sure!. The sandwich recipes at Habanos are what makes this place really special. They just seem to be really aware of the value of taste combinations. Try a few of their sandwiches until you lock on to one and you'll find yourself craving it often.
