As I stepped into this unsuspecting pizza shop in the heart of our dear city, a gust of warm air hit me, carrying with it the promise of home-baked crust and bubbling mozzarella. A sweet, yeasty aroma wafted through the door, reminiscent of a New York City subway car at rush hour - if the subway car was baking fresh bread and the passengers were made of tomatoes and garlic. The walls of the shop were adorned, not with the usual kitschy Italian trinkets or motivational quotes written in tomato sauce, but with images of the NYC skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and a picture of a rat carrying a slice of pizza that I'm pretty sure was bigger than him. A clear homage, or perhaps a humorous jab, at the pizza shop's roots. Ordering a slice, I was presented with a piece of pizza so large it could have been used as a makeshift umbrella. The toppings were generously spread, with pepperoni pieces that were almost as numerous as the potholes on 5th Avenue. The first bite was a revelation - a riot of flavors that was as chaotic and bustling as Times Square on New Year's Eve. The sauce was tangy and bold, the cheese like a comforting blanket of creamy goodness, and the crust had that perfect blend of chewy and crispy that made me long for the sounds of honking taxis and impatient pedestrians. The ambiance of the place was as busy and vibrant as the streets of Manhattan, with the staff bustling around like yellow cabs weaving their way around the city. They were as warm and welcoming as a NYC hot dog vendor, with the same no-nonsense efficiency. But let's not forget the pièce de résistance - the box. Yes, the pizza box that featured a caricature of King Kong holding a slice of pizza atop the Empire State Building - because nothing screams 'New York' quite like a giant ape enjoying a slice of pizza. In conclusion, if you've ever found yourself yearning for the Big Apple while walking through our city, this pizza shop is definitely worth a visit. It's as close to a New York experience as you can get, without having to worry about finding a parking spot or paying Manhattan rent prices.

The pizza was better than average, as well as the Greek salad. The portions are HUGE! The two slice lunch special can be enough for two people with the size of their slices.

Ordered Angelo’s for the first time through doordash, as we were hungry and tired from work. It came quickly and hot, and the pizza was absolutely delicious. Crispy, thin crust… delicious sauce, it was perfect. Reminded me of the pizza in New York where I’m from. Safe to say we will order again!

My second time coming here for me and my friend and I think this might be our regular lunch spot when we're in town. The owner is a super friendly guy and the good is delicious. The lunch special is a really good deal. You get what looks like half a pizza it's so big and a drink for just a few bucks! My friend got that and I was starting to wish I had too until my lasagna arrived. It was a huge portion and delicious.Definitely recommended.

Food was great. Service was fast and friendly. Buuuut..... the floors in food prep area as well as dining area were absolutely filthy to the point you could not help but notice it. I placed the order and went to another business while I waited for the food to be made. When I came back I had to wait in line, that's when I was looking around and discovered the floors. I had already paid for the food so I just took it and left. I realize things can get busy but this was way beyond that. I will look before ordering if there is a next time.

Don’t let the stars mislead. My first visit was for a gyro. Honestly my worst ever. That’s my fault. Not a Greek venue. Came back tonight and got the Stromboli Supreme and the Fried Ravioli and DaFuh? Freaking Amazing! And I mean wonderfully outstanding. Balanced ingredients, perfect bread. All neurons firing with reckless abandon. Sorry belly, the taste buds are going into overdrive tonight!

I did take out here. Seemed like a good small Italian pizza joint vibe. My order was ready when they told me over the phone and it was great. I had a stromboli and it didn't disappoint. More filling than I expected.

Absolutely stellar food, stellar service, place is a little dated but what else can you expect with a mom and pop pizza shop now a days. We’ll be back again if we’re ever in town.

Stumbled across this place when in Smithfield for a gymnastics meet. Pizza is NY style and was really good. They also have pasta dishes, cheesesteaks, subs, and some apps. Staff was extremely welcoming and service was good. Located in a strip mall. Space maybe could use a facelift inside, but then again it is a pizza shop. Thought it was a good find and would definitely go back.

I just had a very good Greek salad and pizza! I really liked the side salad size and freshness w Ken's dressing! I gage pizzas by the color of the crust, and this one was perfect! However, I would like to have seen a better inspection rating! They are in the Belk shopping area!!
