Good food! Great customer service!
Nice pub type place. We met friends here. It was our second time at Fred's. This time I had an Alehouse burger and my wife had the Chicken Breast sandwich. Some of us had beer off their long list. It was fun, the food was really good, the beer was good and the atmosphere was good. They seated us out of the way, but that didn't mean they ignored us. In fact, they checked on us a lot, so we felt well taken care of.
Best pub grub around. Lots if draft beers and a great selection of scotch. The yummiest thing to pad your stomach for a pint or two is their garlic fries. Can't go wrong at Fred's!
My husband and I visit Fred's at least once a month, that's about as long as we can go with out their DElicious lobster bisque! The Asian nachos are mass tasty as well as the Mick Jagger fries of course.
Excellent burgers, great selection of local beers on tap, prompt and friendly service, moderately priced, generous proportions. We will be back.
Rollin' on the river. Luv it!. I drive from Seattle regularly to eat at Fred's.
I have had lunch here many times, usually on weekends, and only once have I been disappointed.
The service is always good and they have a large selection of ales on tap and they also serve local wine.
The reuben sandwich is really good and so is the fish and chips and if you like you can get waffle fries instead of regular type french fries although both types of fries are really good.
The lobster bisque is quite good too.
Reasonable prices are the norm at Freds. I've never felt overcharged for the amount of food I get.
The atmosphere is relaxed and you never feel rushed.
There are plenty of shops to look at in Snohomish before and after your meal at Fred's.
It you are wondering what happened on the one disappointing visit to Fred's it was that I ordered one of their pizzas and they brought me a Totino's pizza.
The crust was burnt and baked so hard it was not edible. In typical Fred's fashion though they got me another menu item replacing the inedible pizza. No questions asked.
Anyway, this happened a very long time ago (2006) and I have had no problems eating here since.
Finding parking can be tough on some days in downtown Snohomish so you may need to park a ways away and walk to Fred's.
Fred's can be kind of dark inside too. Not many windows and they keep the lights down low.
Highly tasty pub food (we had the brewben sandwich- nummy!!). A beer and liquor menu that would satisfy even a Ballard beer snob.
None better. You simply can't get better pub food than what Fred's River Town Ale House has. They have some unique menu items, plus the best "comfort food" around. My wife and I now live out of state, but we try to get to Fred's every time we're in the Seattle area visiting the family. Don't miss out on this local favorite.
Eat here. I'm not kidding. Their food is amazing. The BEST reuben I've ever had. The lobster bisque is creamy and flavorful. Waffle fries are fantastic. Again, just eat at Fred's, you and your wallet will not be disappointed.
Great. Just ate there yesterday....had the philly steak....good flavors.....good service....excellent coffee....nice atmosphere....would go again.....
Good vibe.... Fun spot with a nice menu in downtown Snohomish.
This place was decent!! The fries were perfect, and the portions were pretty big too. Service was fast! We ordered the turkey panini, lobster bisque and jalapeño business burger. I will say that the lobster bisque, while it tasted good, was not warm enough and kind of tasted like it probably came from a prepackaged bag they buy in bulk. The cheesy garlic bread that came with it was the only redeeming quality.
Stopped in for drinks on a Sunday night. Easily found seats at the bar. Sevice was very friendly and prices were good. Very extensive beer menu and a great selection of scotch. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere and decorations, there is a really cool painted map of Scotland above the bar (I love maps). My companion ordered a lemon drop off the signature cocktail menu for $9. Great value, great price, friendly service.
Great food and drinks. One of the best in Snohomish. We drive a long way just to go to Fred's sometimes. They have a very large tap list and many different brands of Scotch to try. Check out their Paninis with a side of waffle fries and their amazing blue cheese.
Amazing veggie burger! Some veggy patties have a odd texture but this had the perfect texture and good flavor. The bun was great as well.this place has so many good vegitarian options in general. Very quick and polite service, only issue is a slightly long wait for food but I'm not super patient.
Food was great. Coconut prawns was crunchy and coconut not overpowering. Asian tacos was delicious. Wish they had put more peanut sauce. Philly steak was OK. Fish and chips were fresh and tartar sauce was amazing
Great selection of drinks (including Omission gluten free beer). Vast food menu with gf bun option.
Service was great!
Fred's Rivertown Alehouse is exactly what you expect, a bar and grill. We have been here many times with friends and it is consistent and comfortable. This time four of us stopped for dinner. I started with a beer, an Overcast Espresso Stout from Nitro. It was a solid stout and I would have it again. One person had the Chicken BLT Salad with a side of cheese bread and was happy. Another had the Porter Ale Meatloaf and was mostly happy, though the baked potato was fairly small. Two of us went with burgers,. One had the Ale Housel Burger, which is a double burger with onion rings and BBQ sauce. I had the Hog Wild Burger, which added ghost chili BBQ pulled pork. The burgers were good, but next time I will go with the Mill Burger, the standard burger, since the pulled pork did not add $2 to the burger in my opinion. The service was solid as usual.
