I've been to a lot of pasta and pizza places in Boston, this may be top 10. The past here is AMAZING. It's fresh, bursting with flavor, and packed with delicious ingredients. The pizza is next level. It's soft but not raw, few ingredients but complex flavor, and thin but not a flat bread. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The chef/owner was working that night. We asked to speak with him and he was humble and kind. I was blown away with the high quality of dishes. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting. This place is a must!
This place was money in the bank. Basically the pizza was AMAZING-tier, the pasta was "pretty fire"-tier, and the Diet Coke was poor/watery-tier. But who cares about the DC concentration level when you're eating this kind of food. Like most Italian places are great quality but give you these tiny plates. This place filled me up NICE AND BIG. And the best part? My mom paid for most of it because she was celebrating me posting my first paper on the ArXiv. So the food quality, the portion sizes, and the nice little reduction in price due to "Mom's Grant Money" leads this restaurant straight into SOLID 5-star territory. Watch out for the 5% cut they take off the top (rather than just paying their back-end staff fairly) -- worth it though, for that INSANE-level chicken honey pizza.
TL;DR: Fantastic food. The drinks were great too! Not too much not to love here.
Food:
Arancini - One of my favorites around Boston. Definitely get these.
Brussels - These brussel sprouts are always cooked to perfection with a nice cheese in the middle.
Olives - A plate of olives with puts and slices of orange zest. If you like olives, you can't go wrong with this dish.
Pane - It basically tastes like a margherita pizza without the sauce or the cheese. It's a flatbread. Lol!
Margherita Pizza - One of the best margherita pizzas in the area, prepared in a wood oven.
Meat & Mushroom Pizza - It's exactly what you would expect from the description. I loved this pizza.
Mushroom Pizza - I'm not usually a fan of white pizzas but this was exceptional.
Dessert:
Double Chocolate Cake - Once again, no complaints. The cherry sauce compliments the cake very well.
Drinks:
Sangria - Just a standard sangria. I wish it had more fruit pieces in it but it's still great.
Pear with me - I love this drink. It tastes like a pear and comes with a dehydrated pear slice.
Gorgeous restaurant. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Staff was also wonderful. I will be back next time I am in Boston!
Stopped in on an out town trip- one of the best meals I have ever had-period.! Creative, well crafted cocktail menu and the bartender executed perfectly. The dishes are made with fresh, quality ingredients and it is evident in the results. Full of flavor without being overpowering, sauces are not overly rich and dishes were served piping hot. Waitress was spot on-friendly, knowledgable and provided excellent service. We will definitely return on our next trip to Boston.
Really quite excellent pizza. Best I've had in the Boston area. The pasta is also top notch.
Ordered two "personal" pizzas ~ $20 each for two people. Went home with leftovers.
Recommend the white pizza with mushrooms or the red pizza with eggplant.
I think this picture is a good example of the experience!
Wonderful Italian restaurant in Somerville. Small menu and everything is delicious! The food style is really warm and comforting. The flavors are bold and rich.
The cannolis are the best I’ve ever had! The pan (bread) is awesome and should be ordered with every meal. The meatballs are tender and each one has fresh melted mozzarella on top. The gnocchi is homemade and delicious!
I have both eaten at the restaurant and ordered take out. My photos are from takeout.
Nice sit down place with a handful of seats at the bar. Good food here. I especially liked the arancini.
