My Uncle and I were in the area for a book tour and went to Cafe Navarre two nights in a row, The food was fantastic, and it's a really nice fancy place to eat. It is high priced in the area so it's somewhere you only go when you're willing to shell out 50$ per person - it's great for a special occasion. I went full on and got the prime rib medium, it was great. Our waiter Prince was why we came back for the second night and it was just as good that night as well. He said they often changed the menus, so I will be going back if I'm ever in the area for something special just to see what's new.

Wow just absolutely amazing. The ricotta gnocchi was incredibly tender and fluffy. The other starters were equally amazing. The dessert by far though was the best part. I am in love with bread pudding and get it everywhere I go, but this was by far the best bread pudding I have ever had!

A wonderful experience all around. Steaks cooked perfectly. Scenic View and it is beautiful. Service was excellent. A very romantic night or great friend bday date.

A quality meal but not worth the price tag in my opinion. The Guinness was a good pint, the ribeye steak was well cooked, and the creme brûlée was a tasty way to finish the meal. However, I’ve had better steaks and desserts for half the price so I don’t feel these meals are worth the price

The other night was my first time at Cafe Navarre and I was not disappointed! The food was incredible! The atmosphere was wonderful! And I had Cafe Navarre’s best server! Joshua had amazing food knowledge and he made me feel like I was his only table! He really completed the perfect dining experience! One of South Bend’s best restaurants!

Visiting South Bend for the first time, my husband and I had the good fortune of choosing Cafe Navarre for dinner. Located in an old bank, the decor is classic and modern at the same time with a relaxed vibe. The food was great (try the mushroom soup) and we appreciated the perfect, compact menu offering something for everyone. Cesar, our waiter, was a delight and a wealth of information regarding local history. A highlight of the evening was when Matt Soutra (who we discovered is the V.P. of Navarre Hospitality Group) stopped by our table to see how we were enjoying our meal and within 30 seconds elicited a good laugh from my husband and me. Nice touch! We left sated and charmed and will definitely be back the next time we’re in South Bend.

Great restaurant with outstanding food and staff. Our meal was cooked to perfection and the presentation was amazing. They have an extensive wine list and a full bar. It is a bit expensive but worth the price. Since you are parking downtown it can be a challenge but there is both street and garage parking close by.
