I called a week or so in advance with a wacky request for a custom cake, called some other places before and it wasn't looking hopeful... finally I found Macri's, they took care of my request like I was an old friend. I even had to change the pick up times A COUPLE TIMES, and they were never any thing short of lovely and gracious.
This is some of the most amazing food I have ever had...from the tiramisu to pizza...and the incredible pastries..
You won't be disappointed...
I got an apple fritter and it was delicious. I also got cheesecake, canoli, and a cream horn and they were so delicious I forgot to get a picture first 😋 I will for sure be back there for the pasta and pizza.
Where do I begin! Carmella, her family, and her staff are all amazing people who are so helpful and responsive. They were great to work with and coordinate our wedding changes with when Covid happened, and they were understanding about switching dates and making us a smaller cake for our micro-wedding. The cake and the desserts were ordered were BEYOND PHENOMENAL. Let me tell you, we are a very Italian family and we are still talking about those cannolis. My husband and I cannot wait to eat the top tier of our cake for our anniversary, and we cannot wait to work with Macri's again next year for our bigger wedding event! Thank you so much, Carmella, for helping make our special day amazing.
Macri’s Bakery is my go to place for an amazing lunch. It’s great during the week for a quick lunch break. The San Francisco panini is always amazing along with their custom made salads and pizzas. Can’t forget to pick up a cookie on your way out. They are seriously the best cookies in South Bend. I recommend either the double chocolate or the chocolate chip peanut butter cookie.
So, so good. Just legit real baked goodness. I bring these donuts to work and I sneak them in so no one knows I have them. It is possible to eat a dozen so be careful. Prices are perfect too vs any franchise places. I'd rather get these any day.

Macris is my go to place if it want pasta or pastries. The polo picante is excellent. I am never let down when I come in. The staff is always friendly and they always have a great selection of treats.
