Hubby and I have had multiple bad experiences at various Hacienda restaurants in the Michiana area, so many to the point that it’s been several years since our last visit to any Hacienda restaurant. We were in South Bend this evening and decided to gamble a little by giving Hacienda Erskine Village another shot. I’m very pleased to say that not only was our experience vastly different than our previous visits, our server made it one of our best dining experiences at any restaurant in a long while.
Hacienda has a star employee in “Mac” MacKenzie (sp). Even though it was incredibly busy, she took the time to answer menu questions, offer suggestions based on what we asked, and at one point when the chips and salsa were getting low, I told my husband he should mention it to her when she walks by. Hubby never had a chance to say anything because she’d already noticed and within 30 seconds she had them sitting in front of us. She checked on us several times throughout evening and when the bill came, she let us know we can take care of it when we’re ready, no rush. Aside from the service, the food was hot and very good.
We’ll make sure to drive from Elkhart to South Bend on a night MacKenzie is working, we know she’ll make it worth the drive.

Jared was an excellent server!!! Took great care of us. I tried to find a manger to tell them but like usual can never be found when I’m there.
We had a birthday party here in the Fiesta Room and it was wonderful! Thank you so much to all of the wait staff! They did a spectacular job! They were friendly, helpful, accommodating, and fun!

I know many aschew chains, but I love this place for food, staff and atmosphere.
Had a great time at Rod's Birthday dinner at Hacienda the meal was great !
My favorite place very friendly!!! Good food love the salsa and ranch. I been going there for over 5 years.
Lori is absolutely amazing had a huge party with a lot of kids tonight for my daughters birthday and she was amazing
Awesome experience. The staff totally help me surprise my friend for his birthday n it was just an altogether wonderful experience. Food was great, area was clean,and the staff is doing so well during these times ! Keep up the great work everyone
Had a shredded beef enchilada and one of the best orange margaritas I have ever had. Really frozen and yummy! Maybe I was extra thirsty but it was special.
The staff was excellent and we did not have to wait to be seated. The greeter was personable as well as the waitress. Our food was perfect and I love the salsa and chips
The food was very good. I always comes out fresh and hot. The price isn't too high I would go back again (this wasn't my first time.going either).
