Romantic, cozy, exquisite foods and presentations, truly Le Chef is among my very favorite restaurants. In the summer season, reservations are essential although, there is a high bar so if you want to take a chance, go for it. Tonight we enjoyed their French Onion Soup and Caesar Salad. The broth has a little white wine, and the bread is crusty and topped with Gruyere. It is delightful. The shaved parmesan and crunchy croutons complement the crisp greens and a light dressing. For our main course, I opted for the Baked Salmon and Ratatouille. Surrounded by a delicate sauce, the salmon was cooked to perfection. The skin was extra crispy and brought forth great flavor. My husband chose the Monk Fish Francese. Proclaiming it was the best he'd ever had, he contemplated ordering another as he's done since our high school proms! I am so accustomed to the servers expressions when reorders dinner for his dessert as some times the manager comes to the table to verify his choice. The Monkfish was so moist and tasted like lobster. The lemon butter sauce was exceptional as well. But he wanted the homemade cheesecake with a raspberry glaze, so he stuck with dessert this time. This is a great little spot on Jobs Lane. You won't be disappointed here ever!

LeChef never disappoints. The bars is great, the staff is welcoming and service is always reliable. The food is solid and it has a good vibe, without the see and be seen crowd.

Told us only barstool seating was available but the place wasn't busy and they definitely could have put together a table for party of 6. Food was good and really generous portions. Expected to only get a half claw of lobster meat in my risotto but i felt like I got the whole lobster instead! Pricy but then again it's Long island where the rich vacation on weekends so not surprised on the price.
Good service and friendly staff.

The dressing on the Cesar salad was magnificent and. I enjoyed the refreshing watermelon margarita. Service was efficient, just not very friendly.

Good service, good food. No frills, but definitely not a dive bar. Everything I've had here was great, especially the Mediterranean Pasta. Inquire about specials, or check the board outside!

Fairly standard French restaurant. Good selection of food, everything was cooked well.
Came with a large group 8+ and the service was attentive and fast.
Highlights were the service, bar service and the duck.
Wish they had a chocolate soufflé. 🤷🏻♂️

It's been a few years since I had the chance to visit South Hampton. Le Chef has always been my go to restaurant and they did not fail to disappoint. I had the braised short ribs and they were super tender and off the bone they way ribs should be. The soup of the day which was broccoli was delicious too. My partner enjoyed their signature duck dish and tuna tacos. Glad they were able to make the tacos GF for us both to be able to eat. The service was good too. We both suffer from different food allergies (gluten, dairy, tree nuts, and raw eggs) and they were able to accommodate us which isn't easy.

Our experience was great, in large part due to our bartender Patrick. We sat at the bar and enjoyed some drinks, calamari salad and steak tacos. All were very good. Recommend.

The Old Hamptons French Cozy Spot is still here. Great Wine. Small romantic room. Solid French Cuisine. Why Not go less trendy but more good?

Excellent location in downtown Southampton. Nice friendly bar and cozy dining room. Well trained bartenders mix cocktails well. Food is very good and menu interesting. A SH tradition. Convenient hours of operation, even off season. A "go to" spot.

We've been in Southampton now for 18 months and this was our first time at Le Chef. I don't know why we waited so long! Atmosphere was great and we could hear the conversation at our own table. The waitstaff were attentive, friendly, and the food was excellent. We've added this to our rotating repertoire.

I was visiting the LI beaches with GF on a motorcycle and needed a great spot, something different to spend lunch with my GF. She likes to eat healthy, so was looking for a place with no fried anything on the menu. Le Chef was perfect, if anything was fried, I didn't look for it. We both had a lobster and shrimp salad that was well to die for, incredible. I also had some Gazpacho which is hard to find in any restaurant, again incredible. The staff was kind and very attentive, the GF was very pleased and so was I. Its in the heart of Southampton, which is a clogged parking lot at peak times. There is a free public parking lot across the street for the park, look for it on Google first. Price? It's a little pricey, but not for the area, I spent a little over $100 on lunch (no alcohol), but we will both remember that salad for the rest of our lives. I was on vacation, do this only occasionally and wanted to impress both me and the GF with a place that was very different...mission accomplished and worth every penny.

I usually do not give 5 stars, may to two restaurants, but this one deserved it all. The food was eloquently placed and the ambiance was tragically amazing. Keep it going guys! Stay safe!
