Few can pass on freshly baked goods from a bakery, and after a visit to Ye Olde Bake Shoppe, I suspect you will be among the regulars here. The aroma when you enter surrounds you and creates an initial frenzy...what to eat, what to eat. And when you see their offerings, you need restraint as everything is deliciously decadent. Folks do line up to get their cinnamon buns. These are light and airy dripping in icing. Their donuts and croissants are amazing. They bake an excellent variety of bread and pretzels, and these are so flavorful. Cakes, cookies, and cupcakes abound. Take your pick-they will each be delicious. If you don't see your favorite do ask as you just maybe minutes away from the next tray coming out of the oven. And right by the door are treats to feed the ducks at nearby Lake Agawam, the perfect spot to sit and enjoy your goodies from Ye Olde Bake Shoppe.

We absolutely love this place! Everything is so delicious. Come prepared to by a ton to support this great local spot. We recommend at least a pound of cookies and their cobblestone bread.

I'm not in Southampton very often, but on my way east, I try to stop here on the way in.  Or on the way back!  You have your choices of bakeries to stop at while in the Hamptons.  Levain or Tates, etc.  But this is THE place to stop.  There are two items I think are amazing.  They have a raspberry crumb cake that is to die for and last week I had the apple fritter that is simply amazing.  They also have a cheese Danish that is delightful. The shop inside is super quaint and cute.  The service is friendly and helpful. It's a litlte out of the way for me, but I'm telling you it's worth the trip.  South of the highway on Windmill Lane and close to town if you're staying in Southampton - close enough to walk for sure.

How is it that this great baker does not have a line out his door? There is nothing he can't do, but if you can only have one item....make it a pound of Linzer Tarts. OoooLaLa. jr

Their iced cookies and cobblestone bread are the best! Thrilled to eat the flamingo and palm tree iced cookies last week.
