Summary: It was a nice dinner and the food was decent, though maybe not worth the money.
The bread they give you, you have to cut by yourself and it gets crumbs all over the table from the crust being hard. The appetizer sampler of meat was amazing and the highlight of the night. The elk was delicious! The beef steak I ordered wasn't anything special (I actually thought the elk was prepared better) but the fries were good (though incredibly salty). My companions also complained of their various dishes being too heavy in salt. The dessert was good but basic.

The food was not great especially for the price we paid, (5ppl=$328.00), it lacked flavor, they use a lot of sweet sauces to mask good flavor and seasoning, and be aware of the fine print on the ticket and bring plenty of cash because if you don't pay cash they will charge you and additional 3.8% on your card, I refuse to pay there part of the credit card use fee for a restaurant that where a regular 8oz. Steak cost $55 and wasn't cooked med-well as requested but was well done and tough and lacked flavor, the steak fries where wonderful, the lamb chops where very small, the duck lacked flavor but that was masked with a sweet sauce

Mesquite Chop House had the most amazing food! We were a party of 13 and it couldn’t have been any better. The wait staff was FANTASTIC (Bailey) ! The food melted in your mouth. The cocktails were top notch! One of the best rye old fashions I’ve had. I Highly recommend this place.

Maytag blue cheeses and apple stuffed porkchops were good. The loaded mash potatoes were my favorite of the whole meal. Desserts are small and below average for the price. I would skip ordering that in the future. Server was attentive.

Went with a group from my office for dinner. There was supposed to be 3 waitresses considering we had a sizable party. Two bailed, but the one woman tended to easily 20 people. She was attentive and kind, our drinks were consistently refilled. I wish I had gotten her name, she was lovely! The food was wonderful, the chicken was juicy and the steak was perfectly cooked. The rolls were also to die for! Very pleasant outing, I would absolutely come back.

Best steak! Got a medium and it was perfect. The salad was great! The dessert i had was cheesecake. So they had 3 courses. Salad and bread, your entre and dessert. Plus wine and a bar with love music on the inside and outside. Definitely recommend and I can't wait to go back!!! Best customer service I've had in Memphis for awhile. All I've got to say it 5 stars and wow!!!!!

This wasn't the best steak house I've been to, but it's okay. Seems they were out of a lot things when we visited last night. Some dishes weren't worth the money they were charging. They could've kept that rubbery beard that was brought to the table. Our waiter was slow but attentive. Not sure what she had going on behind the scenes. They charged us to use debit and credit cards. I think it was 3.9% of your bill. I wouldn't choose to come back here but if I had to I may.

FROM MY EXPERIENCE AND THE LARGE GROUP THAT I WAS WITH, WE HAD A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE HERE.. THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE AND BLAND THE RESTAURANT HAS A DULL VIBE AND OUR WAITER WAS DRY AND DULL! I ASKED FOR WINE AND HE NEVER BROUGHT ME THE WINE LIST THE STEAK I ORDERED WAS BLEEDING, SO I SENT IT BACK TO BE COOKED HOW I ASKED FOR IT TO BE COOKED. WE SPENT $140 FOR 2 PEOPLE AND WE LEFT FEELING CHEATED.. THIS IS FROM MY EXPERIENCE! 😒
