We must have come on an 'off' day. It's a Sunday afternoon, at 12:30 and the restaurant is empty, except for one table with a father and daughter, and one of the server's daughters running around in the back. First thoughts were "why is this place empty on a Sunday afternoon?". I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and there was what looked to be fecal matter smeared on the wall by the toilet and the soap dispenser was filled with water. About 20 minutes after ordering, and being brought 2 baskets of burnt chips, the server told my husband they had no red sauce (one of the main ingredients of what he ordered) and asked if he wanted something else (mine and my children's food had already arrived at the table by this point). He politely declined, saying he would just eat at home later. When I got my plate (shrimp chimichanga), it was missing pico, lettuce, and guacamole. It just had a dollop of sour cream with it. When I cut into my food, my husband asked for the waitress to take my food off the ticket because the tails were left on the shrimp. I was very disappointed because I love Mexican food! I hope that this was just a one time thing because other reviews I read were so positive.

This is the Absolute BEST Mexican Food in the Memphis-Southaven-Horn Lake, Olive Branch-Germantown area! The chips and salsa are the best I've had and once you've had the Burrito Loco you will be hooked! Friendly Service. Don't let the parking disuade you, park in the Walgreens parking lot if you have to, you wont regret it.

The chips a real fan and the salsa is very tasty and fresh! We had the veggie fajitas and the lunch special with two tostadas and it was all wonderful! The price was right!!! The Service was impeccable!

Best Mexican outside of Mexico. Out of all the restaurants I ever visit, this is my favorite overall, and the ONLY Mexican restaurant I will eat at. The food is delicious, and the service is fantastic. The portions are just the right size. I didn't realize how much better the food at Rio was, until I visited another Mexican Restaurant closer to home. Trust me, it's worth the extra drive to go to Rio.

This is truly one of the best Mexican restaurants. The food is great and I believe they have the greatest salsa its truly outstanding.

This seriously is the most authentic mexican food. Tacos de carne is the best. Im so glad we found this place! Mi pueblos chips salsa and cheese dip were seriously lacking but here its perfect! The tacos came double corn tortillas which is exactly how they should be prepared. Other mexican resturant should be ashamed compared to here!! Will eat here for life.

Great Food and Service. Very good Mexican restaurant. A lot of menu options including non Mexican fare. Food and service is outstanding.

Hello, rio, nice to meet you!. Thank goodness rio grande replaced the crappy mexican restaurant that used to exist in this location. the staff was warm and inviting upon arrival and the carnitas dinner lived up to my expectations. it was nicely flavored all across the plate, and the guacamole was absolute perfection. the complimentary salsa was so fresh and had the perfect mix/amount of onion, cilantro and jalapeno. we shared the cheese dip, and my date had one cheese quesadilla and two shredded chicken quesadillas which he bragged about as well. so all in all, i'd hit it... again.
