Founders Tavern - Southold - Photo album

The food is delicious. The menu is varied. They accommodate my vegan diet. The service rates 5 star most of the time. Great value. In season we try to hey there weekly.
This is our go to whenever we come to Southold for the season and even during the fall/winter. The food doesn’t disappoint, the cocktails are strong and priced right, and the service is beyond 5 stars. The atmosphere is so welcoming and family/kid friendly. They do have a kids menu (not printed), cr
Came in for drinks and to watch the Belmont stakes. Great bartender & friendly crowd. Didn't have food, but dining room was full and everything we saw going out to tables looked appetizing. Will have to come back for a meal.
LOVE this place. the staff is so attentive and friendly. the food is always fresh and delicious and great selection of local wines.
Cozy little place for dinner with the family. Kids and such welcome. Bar separated from dinning area. Service get a little rushed.
Don't let the name fool you. This is GOOD food, not bar food. Our mostly church group of 10+ came together for first time in long while to break bread, laugh, and love on a Friday night. We inhaled onion soup, baked clams, calamari, and salad for apps, then seared tuna, fresh fish, and more for dinn

I started with boneless wings and to be quite honest, they shouldn't even be on the menu. Picture having chicken nuggets with buffalo sauce on them 🀷.. Then I had a (custom) burger wth sauteed onions, mushrooms, bacon and american cheese cooked to medium temp. It was done perfectly after it was sent
Great food - tavern mixed with family dining atmosphere. Filet mignon steak tips with horseradish are a favorite, but everything on the menu is wonderful! Friendly, attentive staff, one of my go-to restaurants on the North Fork.
The onion rings were delicious, as was the BBQ pulled pork sandwich I had. I was there with a party of seven and we all really enjoyed our meals and several shared appetizers. Great burgers too!!! They seemed to have some good looking desserts as well, though we didn't try any. Would definitely go b
Excellent consistent dining experience. Our server Sharmane was very professional and attentive to our table of 8. What makes this place so special is that it's a secret that only locals know about. Their menu is rich and diverse. There's something for everyone. The prices are very reasonable consi
Enjoyed this restaurant had a fireplace going and food was very good. Atmosphere warm and friendly will definitely go back when I visit
Excellent food and service. very friendly staff. I go there every time I'm in the area
Bartender Mike was great! He was VERY busy yet still got everybody what they needed! He suggested we try the seafood special which was awesome and we tried the chili*excellent. This place is a hidden gem! We will definitely be back!
Food was pretty good. It can get crowded at times. If you dont want to wait make sure to make a reservation. Unfortunately our appetizers came out cold, but the main entrees were good. I recommend their homemade desserts. We had the chocolate penutbutter pie and it was fantastic.
