Great to have this place when wandering hot gardens for hours, but don't expect fresh or super delicious food. Sandwich bread was crumbling dry and the espresso shots were very, very bad. Staff was kind and quick.

Wrong menu- absolutely none of the items match the online "view menu". We spent 10 minutes in the car deciding, when we could have driven somewhere else.

It is utterly amazing what people complain about. If you’re looking for Five Star food & service with discount pricing, The Park Bench Cafe is NOT for you! That’s not the intention here. The location is absolutely beautiful - and mostly peaceful. It’s a wonderful place to sit and meet with friends. Or read a book. Or just relax and appreciate how utterly privileged we are to have such a place. If you’re hungry, pack a lunch - then you can eat exactly what you want in beautiful surroundings. And if you feel like a treat, there’s coffee and ice cream merely a few feet away. It’s amazing that the luxury of a snack bar even exists here. Enjoy!

Had a delicious chicken with cranberry sandwich while sitting in the shade after walking around the gardens.

This is a wonderful little cafe that serves delicious food and refreshments in a quiet shady setting in the middle of beautiful Manito Park.

A disappointing Park Bench since it changed hands. Manito Park deserves SO MUCH BETTER!!! very small amount of menu choices with nothing but a "so so" expensive fruit cup. We had to return coffee order and clarify fruit cup vs parfait to clerk taking order . My sandwich was good. We had to ask for water, came warm without ice. Worst was the staff talking very loudly and very negatively about customers they had during their shift or season working there. Not a place i will count on for good food and service. What a shame. Where is the leadership and training component to make this place shine. Also surprised at the amount of plastic used without recycling containers. What a waste. What a crying shame. Park Board, are you listening?

I paid $4 with $1 tip for ice cream on a cone. The amount of ice cream on a cone I ordered was not even enough to fill the top of the cone. Really?
