Have to agree with the other reviewer who said the food here is better/tastier than a lot of the formal restaurants' nearby. Specifics: kimchi jjigae tastes like authentic/home-cooked, samgye tang super flavorful broth (with tender chicken), dduk mandoo guk broth clean and not too salty, haejang guk again clean broth not too salty and a generous portion of quality beef.

That is truly authentic Korean food!! After working in Samsung for many years I know what Korean people eat everyday. Very fresh and spicy.

This is one of several restaurants inside of Lotte supermarket. I never knew there was a section of restaurant. We find our selves coming back here. I always order the seafood pancake and beef ribs. Comes with miso soup, rice, kimchi, bean sprouts and pickled cucumbers. Love the ribs and pancake. We also get the Seafood Dolsot Bibimbap, Served piping hot in a stone pot consisting of rice, seafood, and vegetables mixed with red chili paste. After our meal, we can do a little shopping in Lotte. Very convenient. The food is consistently delicious. Food comes out piping hot and fresh. Dining is in a small food court but you do not come here for the ambiance

Wow! The taste and low price are the best I have seen these days. Unbelievable that a place attached Korean grocery store out performs in taste and price compared to other main Korean restaurants in the area.

While this doesn't rival any of my favorite Korean restaurants in the area, I think that Sang Rok Soo is the perfect place to grab some quick, homey, and cheap Korean classics. You can find kimchi jjigae, doenjang jjigae, sundubu jjigae, bibimbap, bulgogi, yukgaejang, seolleongtang, galbitang, naengmyeon, and so much more! There are 34 options to choose from, which is quite an extensive menu for a little cafeteria inside a supermarket. Plus, the food is truly authentic Korean cuisine. Dishes average between $8-10, which is very reasonable. If I worked around here, I'd come for lunch or dinner almost every day. There's even a LA Galbi + doenjang jjigae option for $12.99, which is the cheapest I've ever seen LA galbi and doenjang jjigae being served anywhere in the area. Usually, it's $12.99 for just one of the dishes elsewhere. The food also tastes very good. My favorite is the kimchi jjigae, but I've had several other dishes and they all tasted delicious so far. I've been here a couple of times, and I've always enjoyed eating here. The portion is perfect for me. You even get a side of rice and two banchan dishes with your entree, so you'll walk away satisfied. There's also free roasted barley tea. The staff is very friendly too and the seating area is clean. They frequently will wipe down the tables after customers leave. If you're doing your grocery shopping, why not drop by Sang Rok Soo for a quick dinner too?

Food was great! While ordering was a challenge due to my terrible pronunciation of Korean, the staff helped me out and make the process fun.

Pretty good for the price and the location. Half of the price in any Korean restaurants I Springfield.
