What a wonderful spot for breakfast or lunch in the Nation’s Oldest City. Located on Hypolita Street away from the hustle and bustle but still in the ❤️of the historic district. I have the Bacon 🥓 Egg 🥚 and Cheese 🧀 on a Jalapeño Cheddar 🥯 my guest had the Cinnamon Muffin with Cream Cheese Frosting. I highly recommend both of these menu items. Great service with wonderful outdoor seating. Awesome people watching as well.

It is a must to stop at Schmagel’s Bagels!!! The staff was so nice and the bagels are incredibly fresh!!! They have a great patio area to sit in and enjoy your breakfast sandwich. We had the everything bagel with lox and scallion cream cheese and the breakfast bagel sandwich on an everything bagel with cheddar cream cheese. I would give this place more stars if I could!

Stopped in this morning wanted to sit down my fiancé and dog. They had a nice seating area outside so I went inside and ordered. Thankfully they had the bagels we wanted (I heard this place sells out quick). Had ordered two bacon, eggs, cheese and a bagel. Needless to say we were not disappointed. The bagels were not heavy (or big for that matter) the eggs and bacon were cooked just right. We enjoy a nice bagel that isn't too heavy on the stomach. Would definitely come here again just a little earlier would love to try a poppy or sesame bagel. Either way if you can get here early enough try them out.

Amazing! Everything we had was delicious! The breakfast wrap rocked! The lox was so good! The cold brew was terrific! Wish I could eat here daily. The staff is friendly and impressive. One woman was taking orders at the register and serving outside. I highly recommend making this your destination for breakfast and don't sleep in! The line is worth the wait.

Amazing bagels! They ran out of bagels at 10:45am so make sure you get there early! Loved it and will go for breakfast every morning of our stay.

First off i love the name. It’s just fun to say. Secondly, great bagels. If your in town and in the mood for bagels, look no further. Schmagel’s bagels is the bagel place.

Amazing bagels. I got a garlic bagel with herb cream cheese and it was perfect. The bagel was toasted perfectly and the flavors were unique. The outside vibe was so peaceful and a toasted bagel was just what we needed on a cool day. Reasonable prices and great service just added to the experience. Definitely would recommend.

Five Stars. I give Schmagel's five stars! I have never ordered anything that wasn't completely delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the overall vibe is great. They also deliver to my apartment downtown which is an added bonus.

Worth the stop. This is a quaint bagel shop; really the only bagel shop in this town for years. They are worth the stop for sure! Friendly service and good fresh bagels! Love it every time I go.

Best bagel I've ever had. Hands down. No contest. I had the jalapeño cheddar bagel with cheddar garlic cream cheese. The coffee sucks though. On the weak side. There's no sugar coating it. Come on now. No liquid creamer. The powdered crap. Lame.

I've been going there for years. The food is awesome, but most of the people aren't friendly at all, and nearly every time we order delivery, the order is both wrong and late, and then we've been asked "No tip?". Not cool. Kind of put a damper on what used to be one of my favorite places.

Lunchtime on vacation. The best value for your money in St Augustine for breakfast or lunch. The lox was some of the best I've ever had and I know lox. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good coffee too.

Great place!!. We had breakfast from here and loved it! Good coffee, fresh bagels, and tasty breakfast sandwiches. And the fresh cream cheese for the bagels is divine! Have not tried the lunch sandwiches yet, but they use Boarshead meat, so it would be hard to mess up!

The best and the only. It's the best and only real bagel shop in St. Augustine. Bagels and cream cheese are always fresh and homemade!

Philly Panini. Best sandwich ever

-----02 May, 2012-----

Best sandwiches in SA. Unbelievable. Nice and clean. We'll be back! Love the Philly and Five Cheese!

Schmagel's Bagels is my absolute favorite breakfast place in St. Augustine. The atmosphere, employees, and food are top notch and amazing. I come here at least once a week and have never been disappointed yet!!

This used to be my favorite breakfast place..

slow service, not as much cream cheese, takes forever with delivery. The Jamaican me crazy coffee was the only thing keeping me there for awhile.
Joel
Best everything bagel ever.

Great little place. Wonderful food, everytime we visit St Augustine we always make sure to stop by there. My husband love "The Scam" and I am a devoted BLT'er. Their sandwiches are hugh and filling. It is amazing how the little simple places to eat are usually the best!

My bagel was so bad I scraped off the cream cheese and salmon and put it on a cracker instead at home. Go to Everything Bagel near home depot and hobby lobby instead..

Schmagel's Bagels -A Local Gem. O.K. let's get right down to it. Schmagel's Bagels is a real local gem and, yes, I'm a local

Big plus, they actually open when they say they open and for me that's at 7:00 AM. Great coffed and great fresh bagels and that's another big plus.

I especially enjoy their delightful and peaceful courtyard that looks out to the street. None of that obnoxious loud music blasting away that is typical of so many other places. You will find the courtyard small but cozy.

You really must try a panini, they have three different types. I would rate it as outstanding.

Finally, everyone needs to know that their prices are reasonable. None of this lets gouge the tourists bunk that you will encounter elsewhere all too frequently.

This is one of those places that truly make downtown Saint Augustine a joy to visit or in which to live. You will enjoy the experience at Schmagel's and, when not rushed, you might even get Domingo, the owner, to help you brush up on your Spanish..

GREAT. They got a new owner a few months ago and thankfully, nothing has changed. Schmagel's still offers great bagels and homemade cream cheese. Definitely a local Flagler hang out.

Bagels and Sweet Tea.... A Flagler College student's staple! Wish their hours were longer!

Best Breakfast in Town - Bar none!. The jalapeno cream cheese breakfast wrap should be considered a religious experience. It is so good it's like it has been blessed by the Pope himself.

A unique bagel experience. Go early, get your favorite bagel, some really good coffee, sit outside, read the paper, watch people passing by on Hypolita Street, and there is no better way to spend the morning in St. Augustine. This place is a favorite for the college students and faculty at Flagler College which is only a block away.

A bagel experience. Schmagel's Bagels charm is all in its atmosphere. The ample outdoor seating in the middle of St. Augustine's historic district makes it a perfect place to start a morning.

The bagels are average and the coffee is good. As I was walking out, I saw a patron eating a "Mediterranean Bagel" which is what I should have ordered (I got an "everything" with cream cheese). This Mediterranean had cream cheese, red onion, a large slice of tomato, and cucumber - it looked amazing.

Overall, you won't be disappointed and you'll leave ready to start your day of St. Augustine fun.
