Fantastic find on the less touristy side of At Augustine and not too far away from the lighthouse.
Best to mention 2 things before you go, 1. it's called Sheila's cafe Anastasia's kitchen - don't get it confused with another one further down the road. 2. It's cash only.
The food was amazing, they cook what they have and after a certain time they don't replenish so don't go late and be disappointed if they have run out if pancakes.
Talking of pancakes, they were delicious, light and fluffy with fabulous crispy bacon which I topped off with lashings of maple syrup.
There is both inside and outside seating, inside is quite limited on space so as long as the weather is nice then take advantage of sitting outside and enjoying the day and your food.
To top it off, the crockery is super cute with a lovely lighthouse/nautical theme.
We were only in town for a couple of days but we will definitely go back if we return.

Amazing little spot! The food was so good and there’s no shortage on your plate. You will leave stuffed! The staff is warm and welcoming. They make you feel right at home. I’ll definitely be back.

We were staying in the area, wanted something close and needed coffee! We saw this place had good reviews and decided to check it out. We had the option of sitting inside or out so we picked outside since it was such a nice morning. The inside was kinda small, close quarters. The name of this place is Sheila's Cafe aka Anastasia kitchen. It has 3
(Three) picnic benches + one round table outside. If it gets cold there's a portable propane heater outside.
We didn't have to wait to be seated. The waitress Nicole was very friendly and she recommended a few things on the menu. One of them was quiche, which I haven't had in years.
I'm so glad she said something bcz I would have just ordered eggs or chocolate chip pancakes (my favorite) but I went with the quiche plus home fries based on her suggestion and coffee. Nicole must have filled my coffee cup like 5 times. Thanks for the caffeine boost.
Hubby had a grilled bagel and home fries plus a Coke, which came in a can.
We were so happy with our food and our experience there. We'd definitely go back. NOTE: Bring cash. They don't accept credit cards.
Update: we enjoyed the food so very much that we went back again on Wednesday since they were closed on Tuesday. This time we had a hot ham and cheese on Texas toast, a can of Coke, quiche (spinach + feta) with home fries and a side of just one chocolate chip pancake. And coffee, lots of coffee. We enjoyed it very much and will come back next time we're in the area. There is parking out front.
Another update: before leaving town we had to get our fix so we stopped in for more quiche (crabmeat today), home fries, coffee, hot ham and cheese on Texas toast, a can of Coke. Was not disappointed! That's my creamer I brought with me- it's only available during the holidays.
We hope to go back to visit again soon!

What a fantastic find. Cute little Breakfast cafe just down from the hotels over the bridge in St Augustine.
Server and chef are both lovely and I would highly recommend this place to eat.
Absolutely brilliant

So happy we came here! The food was delicious and the staff is sooo nice! My kids and I enjoyed it very much and would recommend. They have outdoor seating - picnic tables. Family owned and ran, support your local small businesses.

This appears to be a beloved local institution, but I'll tell you of my experience today. There was a slight wait to get seated this morning but a table soon freed up as the seated guests had to leave and the restaurant was taking too long. Once I was seated it took about a half hour to get my coffee and order taken. The guests next to me were audibly dissatisfied with how slow the service was. There were only two waiters, but there are maybe 12 tables both inside and out? It made no sense to me why the service was so slow; perhaps the servers were keeping pace with the kitchen. I waited another 20 minutes or so for 'non-authentic' huevos rancheros which was basically a bean burrito topped with eggs and bacon. Other tables' meals looked pretty good though. Overall, the place is OK and the servers were polite, albeit extremely slow. Just don't expect a quick breakfast/brunch if you go. Also, it's CASH ONLY!

Best breakfast of our entire vacation !! Beautiful sweet atmosphere! Loved the feeling of sitting at my grandmother's table!:) with beautiful lighthouse decor ! And the sweetest staff ever! My food was delicious! I had carb friendly scrambled skillet! Yummy and great coffee! My daughter agreed that the home fried potates she ate reminded her of my grandmother's whom we lost in March of this year. A very memorable experience! We will definitely return again! And we highly recommend you check this small but amazing place out! You will not be disappointed!!:)

If you are in St. Augustine, or even near there, I highly recommend Sheila's Cafe. It was pleasant and the food was great. Would I go back? As a famous line from Rowan and Martin: "You bet your sweet bippy"

Small place, great prices. The banana and pecan pancakes are delicious!

This little restaurant had probably the best breakfast I've had at any restaurant. The pancakes were absolutely incredible. Perfectly fluffy yet, slightly crispy. The prices were just right and service was excellent. Just be aware that They are cash only. So make sure you come prepared.

This is my favorite place for a good breakfast out from now on. Too bad it took five winters for me to try it.

A nice quiet atmosphere with outside seating. Sheila was very friendly and she serves a very delicious breakfast. Excellent spicy sausage patty and a great seasoning on the home fried potatoes. A very good breakfast stop.

Fantastic Dinning. I have only done Breakfast and Lunch at Anastasia Kitchen, but let me tell you how fantastic of a meal I always get. Breakfast, try the Quiche (only on Friday's and Saturday's). Lunch usually the Special of the day works fine. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, go early, otherwise seating is limited.

DR.

Better choices in town. Limited menu and out of. Numerous items. Owner has a fowl attitude.

We had breakfast there, and it was delicious. Pancakes were made from scratch with real ingredients (blueberries, bananas, nuts). Sausage was cooked to perfection. Very friendly staff.

Horrible!!!. I was accosted by a woman from Anastasia Kitchen in the parking lot while I was carrying my 2-month-old son, she yelled at me and used profanity because I was parked in a space she felt was for her business. There was no sign indicating designated or reserved parking and I was patronizing another business in the same shopping plaza. I told the woman that I have eaten at her restaurant before, I happen to live in the neighborhood and also regularly eat at their booth at the farmer's market too. She'll never get my business again!

Small place with big flavor. If you have not had to pleasure of dining here you are missing out!!! Anastasia Kitchen is a true "Home cookin" restaurant. This is a small place with big flavor. The owner Shelia cooks every meal from scratch with old school St. Augustine Love. Her creative flavored pancakes include Blueberry-Mandarin Orange and Hawaiian with Pineapple, Coconut and White Chocolate. Amazing to say the least!

Great Home Cooking - Good Prices. I've been to Sheila's Cage at Anastasia Kitchen before for breakfast on a previous trip. I knew when I returned to St. Augustine I would be going back to Anastasia Kitchen.

We were greeted by Sheila, the head chef, server, and bottle washer. Based on Sheila's recommendation my friends and I all ordered the Tuna Melt.

While waiting were were treated to some delicious homemade bean salad prepared by Sheila. The Tuna Melt was great.

When in St. Augustine don't miss out on this small but quaint dinning opportunity.

Note: Bring Cash - No credit cards.

Awkward. The place is so small the waitress actually tried to seat us @ another patrons table! the odors from the kitchen were so strong, i smelled like a fryer when i left, and we didn't even stay to eat! what a joke, buy some more space people!

The best! Please try the breakfast! Quaint and cute.
