Always our first stop when we arrive in St. pete! Food is great, staff is fun and fast, drinks are yummy and the music completes the scene...oh and the warm gulf breezes and view is spectavular!

The monkey is a treasure in an area full of fantastic dining and drinking options. The bacon jam burgers are straight up food porn. Blackened Mahi is amazing. The Cesar salad (or maybe their salads in general) have the crispest greens I've tasted in years. Their margaritas are tasty and definitely not some cheap mixer

Great variety of food and a nice margarita. I had the blackened grouper sandwich. Nice size and nicely blackened. Tartar sauce has a bit of spice to it. Detox bowl was very well received as were the fish tacos. The jalapeno margarita was nice. Very friendly quick staff.
This is beach bar is becoming one of my favorites. Great music! Tried several apps for lunch. We loved each one, we had: Asian pork lettuce wraps, firecracker shrimp, crab stuffed mushrooms, and my favorite was, Filet Miduga. I didn't expect to find that one a beach bar menu!
Great bar staff and heavy pours on very well prepared cocktails. Trouble here is the outside bar is alsothe inside bar so smokers are essentially in a smoke free environment blowing smoke inside through the window. Chases me out all the time. A true buzz kill in an otherwise nice place to spend a lazy afternoon.
Got the # one pizza. Thrift shop. Service was great. Perfect martini and a local IPA made dinner the best. The back deck was full so we didn't get the ocean view but was a great experience.
Great Time After a Day at the Beach. Right on St Pete Beach. We went there after a great beach day. We sat on the deck. They had a live band (every day they have a different band, our was a reggae band), we ordered drinks and grabbed a menu. We had 2 baskets of fries, and the "Drunken Monkey" Pizza. Fries were seasoned right and the piazza was AWESOME!!! Pizza was thick hand tossed with enough toppings that you could have used a fork and knife. The staff was friendly and prompt, there was lots to do while there too, 2 beach volleyball courts, cornhole, wallhooker. Highly recommend it to everyone, and will go back again.
Had lunch on Sunday. Menu had a lot to offer. Grouper was fresh. Nice local atmosphere. Bartender Jd was the best. Will be making this a regular stop when we go to the beach.
Great food and atmosphere. We ate here our first night at St. Pete. We went late so we didn't have to wait for a table. Service was great and food was pretty good. The onion rings were amazing! I would definitely suggest that you try them.
Hint: 2 dining areas at same address. In the front parking lot or way to back by beach. Go to back! Oh yea - chow was great.
Great Food Great Staff Casual Atmosphere. We have eaten at Toasted Monkey three times and loved it! The food is always fresh and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. The owner Phil and his wife came to our table and welcomed us too. The fish Tacos are fantastic, as is the clam chowder, Shrimp wrap, and Burgers. We'll be back again for sure and we'll gladly recommend Toasted Monkey to everyone.
Good food, reasonable prices, fun atmosphere. Service was slow even though they weren't that busy. Took us over an hour to get apps and entrees, other than that, I'd go back.
Very yummy. Love the food and drink options. Great poke bowls and lettuce wrap appetizer! Took my kids and they enjoyed as well. Pulled pork sandwich was very tasty. Quality and price match at this establishment. Outside & inside seating. Outside had live music that was pleasant.

The Chili Lime Shrimp was very tasty but not at all filling. A little more rice or more shrimp would be great! The Beyond burger was good but nothing out of the ordinary. As for the sweet potato fries, they were over cooked and burnt.

Met some old friends for lunch today at the Toasted Monkey. Sat upstairs with a beautiful view of the water. There was a great breeze and the sun was shining. Resturant was not crowded. Service was great, very kind, professional and attentive. Great atmosphere, food was good. Looking forward to coming back for the live music. Free parking directly across the street from the resturant made it east ti get to. Give it a try.
Great lunch experience! The outdoor seating was comfortable and in the shade with a nice ocean view and breeze. Menu had lots of selections. Food was fresh and very tasty, the portion sizes were large too even for lunch. They have live music but they were setting up as we were finishing, so we didn't get to see them perfom. We did watch them tune their instruments to the songs playing on the radio which was cool. Not sure if it's always like this but we had 3 staff members serve our table and they all were very attentive and continued to check on us asking if we needed things or just make light conversation, they were all great and friendly. Would recommend and would visit again next time I'm in the area.
My wife and I went on a Sunday night and the place was super busy but had a great beach atmosphere. We both ordered the rib dinner and they came out cold. Server took the dinners back and they came out cold a second time after being "re-heated". We were there for over an hour and a half by then. Sent the dinners back and we were going to leave when the manager came out and addressed the situation. He went above and beyond taking care of us. We ordered sandwiches (Chicken Philly and Buffalo Chicken) which were very good. BTW, a great band was playing all the while. We would definitely go again!
Place to be on St. Pete Beach, hands down. Lots of options here. They have great views at the upstairs bar. Perfect lunch spot or sunset.
The place is usually rockin with great live music downstairs. Good mix of all ages and oddly enough, the ages blend well. Good local and vacation crowd mix. Gives a club/beach bar vibe at night with both tables and bar seating downstairs. Not your thing, you have inside and upstairs outdoor dining and a more cozy atmosphere. They got you covered. The staff are all THE BEST! The drinks flow like water with efficiency and your never sitting around waiting for food or drinks. They want you happy and work towards it. Colin, Darleen, Stephanie are my favorites there. The best Bartenders you’ll find. Parking on-site is easy, Uber/Lyft friendly and fast. SAFE area walkable to lots of sites and people watching hot spot. Go hang out, plan to spend the day. Guaranteed good time!
We live right down the street. This is one of our favorite spots period. We come here multiple times a week. The staff is absolutely phenomenal and welcoming. We bring our 2 1/2 year old, and she lays it down on the dance floor for all of the great music including our friend Sara Diamond and all the other great artists. The food is so much better than typical beach bar food and there are so many options. You cannot go wrong.
I do wish we still had a projector for the bucs/bolts games tho!
The food is really fantastic as well as the atmosphere. Great place to listen to Live music . Recommend the Ahi Tuna and the Pork Lettuce Wraps. Seriously DeeeLish.
