Grouper, grouper, grouper. You must order a grouper dish when eating here. It is their specialty and for good reason! I ordered the "Super Grouper" which was a broiled grouper wrapped in bacon. It was really good. Perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked to tender deliciousness! Their grouper sandwich is one of their most popular selections. We tried the fried brocolli and cheese bites for an appetizer. They were really cheese and good. The restaurant is a casual seafood restaurants. Prices are not expensive. I ordered the key lime pie for dessert. It was tart but a little too sweet for my taste. I prefer less sugar.
Old School St Pete. It seems like I have been going to Harvey's forever. When St Pete wasn't loaded with cool privately owned restaurants you could count on Harvey's to come through. Their Sunday brunch is always a hit with our whole family. The grouper bites, tomato salad and Reuben are my husband's favorite. The chicken salad sandwich and hay and straw noodle dish are my favorites. The blueberry pancakes on Sunday are a favorite of our children. The decor is fun (red bar rail being a highlight) and hasn't changed much in the last 30 years. Some things are fine just the way they are and Harvey's is a NE St Pete staple!
Harvey's is always Great! The Grouper is the best and the folks are just down home friendly. Never disappointed and we will always come back for another great experience.
The fish spread appetizer is to die for! I have had all different types, and Harvey's is top notch. Their reuben sandwiches are also great. I would highly recommend dropping by if you have never been!
Love Harvey's. Been going for years and it's always consistently good. Favorite items: Grouper sandwich, Chili Burger and their Chicken Tenders entree. They make their own Honey Mustard for the Chicken tenders (very honey rich..delicious).
Great broiled grouper sandwich! Nice fresh bun! The onion rings were killer!! Server was very nice. Would go back again.

Rabbit Holed. Harvey's was a well-kept secret unseen by us 'til Sunday brunch today. Loyal customers, friendly staff, reportedly consistent food, mellow atmospherics, and an efficient kitchen add up, however, to a solid presence. Our server recommended the house-made hash and she was spot on. I had it "crispy" with eggs basted and the cheesy (in a good sense) breakfast potatoes. My partner enjoyed the hash Benedict and potatoes with a nice assortment of fruit. We'll need to hop into Harvey's for other meals.
Good food! I had the Chicken Marsala, broccoli bites, and hubby had scallop and shrimp Alfredo pasta. Both were were really good, was actually surprised! Not just ur average bar food!! The long island teas were OK, our last 1 was the best, at $7 a drink they could at least use bigger glasses :-( we will be back to try the burgers 4 sure!!
Not something I would normally order, because the "steak" part is usually something more like a a thin piece of shoe leather, At Harvey's, however, I got a thin piece of tender, flavorful beef with perfectly done eggs and the yummiest breakfast potatoes (added grilled onions at my request). I'd get it again, but then again-- what DOESN'T look good at Harvey's?!?!?!
Well Done...!. Good food...nice folks....good booze...! What is not to like..? GREAT burgers...! Good pub grub...!
One of the true neighborhood / locals places in St. Pete. Grouper sandwich is one of the best in the area. All of the sandwiches I've had have been good. I've been going for 20 plus years. It's always been consistent for me.
Best burger in town. Forget El Cap and all the others in town, you want the best burger, you go to Harvey's on 4th. Delicious, everytime. Great service is the topper.
Ordered the steak and eggs and the breakfast croissant. Friendly service, good atmosphere, great food :)
Okay place to eat. Good food. A little disappointed that they no longer carry the rasberry sauce for the Jalapeno Peppers. But overall good and decent food.
Feels like home. 10 years ago I became a regular with the lunch crowd and every time I am back in town I have to go. I always liked the screened-in patio, the often quirky waitresses, the menu, the benches, the mixed crowd, and my Florida Gold sandwich.
This time (for the first time) the Jalapeño poppers were served with some kind of white dipping sauce and not the chipotlee raspberry jelly I was used to. Still good, spicy poppers with scorching cheese in the middle (forget that mouth blistering factoid every time). The grilled Florida Gold was as good as I remembered and I will surely continue my nostalgic visits.
Good & Reliable Food. I've been going here for over 10 years. It's our go to place when we don't know where to go. They have the most consistent good food at reasonable prices. The best burgers and homemade potato salad! And the Maine Lobster at their full moon parties is great!
Good food....fun atmosphere. Good pub food...good size portions...attentive staff
Love this place. Great atmosphere, service and food. Had the fish sandwich which was excellent! We would definately go back when we are in the area. We were just lucky when we blindly walked into this unique grill.
Best cheeseburger period. Been coming here for 20+ years and I've searched far and wide to find a burger that I like more but nobody has come close. nothing beats delicious consistancy - i've never had a bad burger. please see my profile picture for reference.
What's not to like? Food has been consistent for 25+ years. And the prices are inline. It's not McDonalds people.
Good food, burgers a little pricey, but tasty.
The Florida Gold intrigued me, as I am always looking for a decent veggie sandy. Freshly sliced avocado, alfalfa sprouts, grated Swiss cheese, and sliced tomato on whole wheat bread with a fantastic house-made 1000 Island Dressing. The ingredients were tasty; I decided to have it grilled. I’m not sure what happened there; the bread was sort of grilled but cold when it came to me.
Finding ourselves Saturday "bachelorettes" for various and sundry reasons this weekend, one of my oldest and dearest pals (Georgia Peach) and I decided to revisit the scene of many unspeakable crimes of our misspent youth. Harvey's was where we ate and drank our lives away in the early 90s and I was delighted to find that the pub-grub served here is still top-notch 20 years later...which explains why the place was slammed at 2:00 PM in the afternoon. We grabbed a couple of stools at the bar where we received uber-friendly and helpful service. Despite its "bar-ish" demeanor, food is surprisingly fresh and creative at Harvey's. Onion rings were about as good as they come...crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The Peach and I have relished in the house-made Broccoli Cheese Bites for decades and they never disappoint. Harvey's Chicken Salad with mandarin oranges and toasted walnuts on a tender croissant has withstood the test of time. Quality always prevails. Potato salad s
Harvey’s is a special place in St. Pete, I would say. The staff were very friendly and competent, and the food was way above average for this type of diner (in my experience). The menu’s extensive, and several of their offerings are award-winners. In addition to the classic American pub-fare food we ate, they have full meal entrées, pasta and salads. Not to mention some good-looking desserts. I’ve seen bigger places have good menu lists that weren’t half what Harvey’s offers. If you can’t find something on their menu to meet your needs and satisfy your hunger, then you’re not really from this part of the galaxy…
So you know that place. The one your friends suggest you try. And you say "Yeah! That sounds great! I'd love to go there." And then one thing leads to another. You forget. You remember. You forget. You don't want to deviate from the norm. Then, one Sunday
