I have been dying to try Diner 24 DTSP but got around to it a few months after it opened. It smells like new stuff how fun. I was really excited about the diner because I wake up before 7 on weekends and most breakfast places open around 10. I visited around 9 am on a Saturday and they seemed really short staffed. There was one waitress and 1 bartender who was the cook. I ordered a tequila sunrise and a cheddar cheese omelette. I had to wait for my drink because the cook called in and the bartender cooked my food. I got my cheddar cheese omelette was full of American cheese but the waitress dropped off the food and didn't check on me at all. I will assume it's a mistake because they have American cheese omlettes and cheddar cheese omlettes. They did not give me any jelly with my toast or offer it. The tequila sunrise was very good and string but it was $9. The waitress pretty much ignored me for 45 minutes until I just got up and said I had to go and paid for the terrible omlettes that I took 2 bites of and the tequila sunrise. Oh yeah I was ignored and spent $20 on terrible omlette and a good tequila sunrise. I ordered 2 coffees to go and heard the waitress and cook/bartender arguing about where the to go coffee cups are. Also the garbage where she dumped my omlette was in full view of the dining room. Also a customer complained that the lights go out in the bathroom when she sat down on the toilet and her answer is the lights do that. When the waitress finally came over to give me my check I told her that the omlette had American cheese and her answer to me is that she told the cook that it was supposed to be cheddar. The staff was arguing with each other in the dining room in full earshot of the customers. The bartender/cook said she is tired of a the waitress yelling at her and said she needs to stop unless she wants to go home. She even cursed in front of us all. Eventually the other customers in the dining room said they just want their checks and left. It came time to pay for my horrible meal after being ignored for an hour the waitress came over to inform me that my card was declined. I was concerned. I was wondering what kind of mishap happened to get my card declined because I know that my card is good maybe someone stole my card number. I called my bank. My card was not declined but my magnetic strip was broken and they told me it was declined instead of inputting the number. This place was really unprofessional, next time I will just drive to waffle House.

Hour wait for a mid-morning breakfast.
Every so often a kitchen has a bad day. We got there for Diner 24's. An omelette and a breakfast combo took an hour. Our waitress was gracious the whole time, apologized profusely and reduced the bill. But still, not a great experience.
The resturant itself is fairly dark and feels more like a bar than a diner. The outdoor tables were sunny and pleasant, across from a park.
When we got our food, it was decent if a bit unremarkable. That may be because the waitress admitted she ended up having to cook the omlette herself.
All in all, not a great experience, but probably a one-off situation with the kitchen staff.

We were served iced coffee with spoiled milk in it. No concern was shown about it either other than suggesting we order a milkshake instead. Food came out cold looked pre cooked and wasn't edible. Avoid this place especially if you get sick easily.

Had a great experience. Eggs benedict were well cooked and the home fries were great. Friendly and efficient waitress. Sat outside overlooking William's Park.
